A rare chance to immerse yourself in the oldest rainforest in the world. Full with conversation, good food, and endless wildlife (if you know how to look). I came to stay with David as my first ever Workaway, and just a few days after I landed in Australia. David was beyond welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local Daintree environment, culture, and greater Australia in general. Enlightening and fulfilling conversation was never in short supply at David's, and his ability to talk about any and every subject to it’s end was admirable. With generousity in excess, it would be impossible to fault the food, accomodation or company. During my (almost) three week stay, I helped out with a bunch of home, carpentry-style projects, and some ground-work building a pathway through the bush. There is a good range of things to do, just don't be shy in getting started. This rare and fulfilling experience is exactly what you make of it. I would recommend it to anyone who can approach situations with an open and elastic mind, as living in the rainforest does come with it’s unique challenges and daily life, but with endless rewards to those who seek them. I'm very grateful to David for the experience, and look forward to keeping in touch, which I think says a lot within itself.

I spent two amazing weeks with Brenda and Roger in Manakau for my first Wwoofing experience. They are very friendly, generous and wonderful people. Thanks to them, I got to discover real kiwi life. I loved our evening Banagrams games! During those two weeks, I did gardening and weeding in their beautiful orchard. Thank you again for your kindness. All the best to both of you. It was such a privilege to spend a week in Oloví delivering English lessons. From the minute I stepped off the train, I felt welcomed by Kate, who greeted me with a friendly smile and walked me to the accommodation. The teachers, students, and community members were all so kind and curious to meet me, and in just a short time, I felt adopted by the town! The accommodation was cozy, comfortable, and just a short walk from the school. It was fully furnished, and Kate made sure I had everything I needed, from snacks and breakfast to great tips for local shops, hiking trails and day trips.Oloví is a peaceful little town surrounded by natural beauty. I enjoyed hiking in the beautiful hills, taking a day trip to Karlovy Vary, and even joined Kate for a couple of evening fitness classes 😊 It was a true pleasure to spend my mornings working at the school. Kate knows her students well and had plenty of ideas for how I could best reach them in my lessons. She provided thoughtful feedback and mentorship, and it was exciting to try new ideas in the classroom with motivated students! I was also given freedom to bring my own lessons and teaching styles, so you can be creative while still benefiting from Kate’s experience and clear lesson structure. Classes ranged from young children to teenagers, and it was rewarding to see how curious and enthusiastic the students were to interact with a native speaker. The school staff were friendly, and everyone spoke enough English to make communication easy. I would highly recommend this Workaway experience to anyone eager to jump into teaching in a new environment. It’s a great fit for those looking to gain hands-on English classroom experience in a supportive school surrounded by kind people and beautiful scenery. Thank you, Kate. Ashlee fit in seamlessly. As a person, she is curious, open-minded, friendly, and no-fuss. She was happy to take on anything needed—hands-on work in the field (e.g., cutting tall grasses, everyday farm tasks) as well as permaculture research and documentation on the computer. She treated tools, spaces, and shared resources with care, and she mixed easily with both staff and other volunteers. Her energy is calm and composed, which helped the team stay steady on busy days. We’d gladly welcome her back and recommend her to future hosts for roles that need a balance of physical work and thoughtful research.

I spend around two months in Kedeli and it was an amazing experience that I will never forget. The project is located in a quiet and pretty rural area with great nature and a truly special and beautiful community. I was doing mainly garden work which was very interesting and fun. I got to harvest many different fruits and vegetables and learned a lot. But more than anything else it is the community that makes this place special. Everyone is friendly and there is a real sense community in which I was welcomed warmly. A truly special experience if you are open and willing to really engage with this place fully.

Hager integrated beautifully into our family, sharing insights into her culture. The children quickly became comfortable with her and genuinely enjoyed her company. She is highly reliable and kind. We highly recommend her and would happily host her again. A wonderful guest!

The experience was really amazing, fulvio and fiamma are adorable kids. fiamma is a bit shy need some time to get used to me.Mrs. Laura and Mr. Luigi are Great,respectfull and friendly persons. I stayed at Edwarda & Stanislaw house for 2 weeks. It was a great experience there for me. They are kind and nice people. During my stay I helped them to finish the house for apitherapy, we did some small construction works. Also I spent good time in weekends (riding the bicycle that the host gave to me, visiting city and historical places, sailing with vessel on the lakes or just explore provincial nature around). Also food was great there, Edwarda is a good cooker, I ate many delicious dishes from Poland cuisine. I felt there like at home . The accommodation was nice and interaction with my hosts as well. I am thankful to them for the good time that I had there. They are respectful, cultured, hospitable and generous.

Having Tahlia in this period of our life was a blessing. It was still pretty high season for the farm, plus we were expecting our first baby. She was here with us before and after the birth, and she was our guardian angel. Without her, the goat won't have been outside that much, the dairy won't have been that clean and the vegetables of our garden transformed and put into jars ! She is a hard-worker, and a sweet company. Thanks to her, we started this new chapter of our life with a lot of peace of mind. We were sad we couldn't adopt her for longer time haha ! At the end of september, start october I stayed for 2 weeks with Eric and Monica. From the moment I arrived I felt very welcome. Both Monica and Eric are very hospital, easygoing and warm persons. It was nice to work in their beautiful garden, the work hours where flexible and we also did other schores like processing grapes into jelly. Monica is a fantastic cook , all meals where very tasty and it was nice to be part of their lives during the meals. I travelled with my own car wich made it easy to go out and experience a lot from Arle and surrounding.

Simon was a great asset to the hostel, and we were delighted to host him for 2 months. He was great on reception, followed directions clearly, and took initiative wherever possible. Simon was great with our guests and added a warm, cheery atmosphere around the house. We loved having Simon volunteer with us and would welcome him back any time! I would 100% recommend him to anybody looking to host. Thanks again, Simon, you were an absolute joy to have at the hostel. We miss you already!

The week we spent at mevanya's house was really great at so many levels ! First of all the place is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and a lovely countryside. The sunsets are indeed amazing and the pool is also a truly appreciable asset. As there was another workawayer, we stayed in the guest house which offered intimacy and confort with a private kitchen and bathroom. The work was not difficult (mainly chopping wood and pickung up plants at the moment we were there) and well explained by Mevania who is a really available and caring hostess. She warned us that she couldn't be as present as she would want to during our stay but she still managed to cook many great meals for us and to be really reactive to all our demands and needs. It was our first experience on workaway and it was a great one : thank you Mevanya !

Sam was truly an exceptional Workawayer — one of those rare individuals who brings not only great skill and work ethic but also genuine kindness and heart to everything he does. Though he stayed only five days (plus travel days), Sam accomplished more than most do in weeks. He worked tirelessly, often putting in extra hours without being asked, always with a positive attitude and a readiness to help wherever needed. His level of dedication, responsibility, and initiative was remarkable. Sam is easy to get along with — friendly, thoughtful, and wonderfully considerate of others. He has a natural ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Despite his short stay, he made a huge impact here. His calm, cheerful presence and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on everyone. I cannot thank Sam enough for everything he did during his stay. I wholeheartedly recommend him to any host. Christina was a truly special volunteer — one of those people who leave a lasting impression. From the very first day, she was full of positive energy, initiative, and kindness. She not only helped us tremendously with our daily work but also went above and beyond by starting a successful fundraiser among her friends for our disabled children. Christina arrived with so much thoughtfulness — she brought personalized gifts for everyone, including towels with the children’s names and even little scarves for our alpacas Wuschel, Puschel, and Kuschel! We are so grateful for everything she did here in Namibia and truly hope to see her again. Christina, you will always have a special place in our hearts and in our project! ❤️

Dear Iris &Geoffrey, it was soo amazing at your place, thank you! I stayed 2 weeks and it was so great because we did so much cool stuff together. Iris often checked whats going on in the region, so i was able to go for example to a cafe de langage:) There kids were also so lovely, because they were always so motivated to do stuff and they also helped me to improve my french. I really enjoyed having meals together where we had great talks! All in all i can say i had a great time and i learned some nice things, thank you Á bientot, Lilli

It has been a real pleasure and an authentic cultural experience to volunteer chez Lahcen. He is not only an excellent host, always attentive to my needs, but he is an excellent person. He deploys a remarkable charity task in his hometown. And he always looks in a good mood. Special mention to his mom's lunches. They were delicious 😋 and abundant. The ambiance in the Center was very agreable, warm and friendly. We could also discuss on pedagogical aspects of teaching. This was an interesting plus. It is also easy to work with the kids. They are eager to learn. All in all it has been a very close, friendly and human experience that I won't forget in life.

I had a great five weeks on this project and really appreciated Alyce's hospitality throughout. The location is truly idyllic and I thoroughly enjoyed my daily walks around the expansive condominium, getting to know the neighbours and enjoying the tranquility of the area when exploring the nearby nature. Being so close to San Lucas Sacatepéquez and all its amenities, was also very convenient. There were countless cultural events and celebrations there during my stay, which added to the entire experience. However, by far the absolute best aspect were the dogs - I love them all and it was extremely hard to say goodbye, especially to my girl, puppy Charlie. It was genuinely fantastic getting to learn each of their personalities and dynamics within the household pack, as well as learning about their individual circumstances and unique situations, of how they came to be there and where they will be travelling onto in the world, as well as the entire process involved in making that happen. The necessary tasks are straightforward and once completed, you still have ample free time. I'm so pleased I got to be a part of this project, as it's given me many beautiful memories of my time here in Guatemala. Muchísimas gracias por todo! :)

I had a really lovely time staying with Marc, Ana, Kyra, Eliah and Charlotte. Everyone was welcoming and easy going, and I felt very comfortable. Kyra and Eliah are really cool and a lot of fun. I wish that I had been better at French to be able to speak more but that’s okay – I’ve been learning! And this also wasn’t a problem at all as I felt right at home regardless. I had a great time helping out and it felt very relaxed. The area is also super beautiful and peaceful with lots to see and explore. It’s such a nice place to be. I had a great time zipping around the lakes on the bike. Thank you very much for having me!

Our family stayed at the farm for two weeks. My kids are 15 and 13 and loved getting to take care of the puppies, feed the horses and have time to go on hikes and chill around the very beautiful farm house. We were asked to collect and chop wood, the kids picked up the poop in the puppy yard and helped to keep up with feeding the puppies and keeping their room clean. There were two other workawayers staying at the same time as us, which was great as we could alternate days off to explore Puno and Lake Titicaca. All the people that live and work at the farm are extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here. The only hardship was that the farm was quite remote so getting into town wasn't easy. However, Zezé and Elmer were so kind and helpful in this area. Arranging transportation themselves to drive us or order a taxi for us. I would stay here over and over again. We loved every minute and felt like we've made lifelong friends!

With Karen it was our first workaway! We had an amazing experience, understanding what it means be part of a local community in a rural place of Thailand out of touristic environment, it feels so authentic. We have taken care of 3 beautiful doggies: Blondie, Brownie and Chicken. They are super sweet, you give them care, food and walks trough the jungle and they give you back much much love! The bungalow is very rustic and minimalist but you can find peace there, you have everything you need to live just in touch with nature. Even if we didn't meet the host Karen, we had great communication with Her and she was very helpful and giving lot of advices for places to go around in our free time. There is also a scooter that you can use to go everywhere. We highly recommend this workaway. Thank you so much Karen
