Sabela is a wonderful girl. She took great care of my rabbit while I was out of town. I felt very safe entrusting her with the responsibility, and she kept me updated on everything. She is very communicative and fun. I definitely recommend having her as a workawayer and enjoying her company!

I spent a wonderful week with Smyth and her family. Smyth is a warm, kind, and open-minded lady. Whenever she talks to me, she always smiles respectfully. She prepared a bike to help me explore the city. Sadly, they were sick at the time, but I felt lucky to be there when they were at their weakest, even though I couldn’t do much for them. They have four well-educated children, which shows that they’ve received successful family upbringing. On the first day, the youngest boy, Lui, showed me around in detail. As I spent more time with him, I realized he has a soft heart—he is always willing to take good care of others, whether it’s his family, the pets, the lambs, or me. When I finished tasks like cleaning the kitchen, he even thanked me. I really appreciated that.The oldest boy, Jaky, took me to a fun club where we joined an interesting game. It gave me a glimpse of their local entertainment. We also went to Picton, which has amazing coastal views. He patiently and gently taught me how to play minigolf. I even saw he get a hole-in-one on their first shot—a real master! There’s also a girl with the most touching smile, just like her mother, and another boy. Although we didn’t spend much time together, I could tell he is also sincere and caring toward others. The father of the family personally showed me their lamb pasture and answered all my questions about the lambs. He was very generous to me. Smyth also shared the story of how they met. It reminded me once again that outstanding, vibrant, and earnest people attract each other. I have so much more I want to say, but I’m still learning English. I hope there will be another chance for me to express these words to them in person.Now I would like to thank them once again. They gave me such a cherished time in Blenheim, and I will keep those treasured memories deep in my heart forever.

I joined the Campsite in July for about 4 weeks, and I’m still so grateful for the experience. I couldn’t have asked for better hosts for my first volunteering experience—Tor and Ingrid always made sure I was having a great time and it was easy working with them. The location is breathtaking, and there’s never a dull moment because there’s always something to do, whether solo or with other volunteers. The shifts were fair, and I really enjoyed cooking. I also appreciated the opportunity to take on tasks that pushed me out of my comfort zone: I had the chance to build benches, which was a challenge I’m thankful for. I loved my time there, thanks also to the amazing team of volunteers I met—they truly made my experience special. Highly recommended! 🫶🏼

It was amazing in Cuenca. I completely fell in love with the city. There’s always something to do — from museums and churches to bars and the national park. I felt like part of a family. All the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. You can run your classes however you like - the younger students enjoy playing games the most, and the advanced groups at the end of the day feel more like pleasant conversations with friends. I’d love to come back here again someday.

I stayed at this wonderful place for six weeks, and I can 100% recommend it to anyone who loves peaceful nature, being surrounded by animals, and meeting many kind and open-hearted people. Frits, the host, is incredibly welcoming, warm, and friendly — and so is Hank. From the very first day, I felt truly at home. I also had the chance to share my stay with another volunteer from Germany, and we had such a lovely time working, relaxing, and simply enjoying every moment. One of the real highlights of my stay was the unforgettable flower performance — such a magical and unique experience! I’ll also never forget the cozy stampooth dinner we shared with a friendly Russian guest. There were countless fun moments — playing puzzles, memory games, and Uno, all filled with laughter and joy. This is a place where I always felt calm, welcomed, and at peace — and it will always hold a special place in my heart. 🌿💛

We stayed with Tugsah for 8 days, and it was a really great experience! He’s such a kind, open-minded, and generous person always making sure we felt at home and had everything we needed. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-located, which made it easy to explore the city during our free time. The work was simple, flexible, and enjoyable, and we appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and trust he gave us. We also had some great conversations with him he has a beautiful way of seeing life and people, and spending time together was inspiring. Thank you so much, Tugsah, for your hospitality and kindness. Roanna was an excellent guest and she taught our students in a professional way. There was an inspection in the school, she swept the floors and a lot of cleaning ,painting and moral support. She has a positivity ,which everyone enjoyed. Her friendly behavior is a memmory to cherish . i strongly recommend her to be accepted as a volunteer jatinder

lovely time with Kamilé and Saulius The campsite is really beautiful, incredibly conformtable, especially the house where the volunteers are staying. We met some lovely and very interesting people. Life at the campsite is slow and relaxing, and work is quite adaptable (you can do woodwork if you're good at it, or paiting if you're more artistic... it really depends on your profile , skills and preferences !). Kamile and Saulius brought us to other villages, a great way to discover the real lithuanian culture in a very authentic way. Only thing is, the campsite is kinda close to a road, so it's not compeltely remote in the nature either. That wasn't a problem at all, but I think it's important to know depending on what you are looking for ! Overall, great experience, authentic and memorabe !

I can't even put into words how grateful I am for my time at this hostel, and how much of an amazing time I had! The managers and owner really value looking after their volunteers and staff and making them feel at home and part of the family, you can feel it immediately when you arrive. Everyone is so genuine, kind, and create such a supportive, loving and relaxed environment. The hostel itself also has such a chill, family-like vibe that makes it easy to feel at home. The people I met here, both staff and other volunteers, and guests have become friends, and I know some of the connections I made during my stay will be with me forever. The surfing opportunities are amazing too, whether you're experienced or just learning, there's always a good wave nearby and kind, encouraging people in the water. The surf village and the beaches are nice places to relax and hang out. I had such a great time here, and I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking for an unforgettable Workaway experience. I truly wish I could have spent more time here, I didn't want to leave :( I will definitely come back here to visit, maybe even volunteer again, and hopefully see some of the amazing people I met here again! lots of love

I felt very comfortable in the family from day one. I got a very warm welcome. The interaction in the apartment was open, respectful, and welcoming at the same time. I looked forward to spending time with Nora and Iris every day. I found the two girls to be motivated, creative, communicative, funny, trusting, and extremely kind. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to spend 10 days with them. Thank you so much !

I had a wonderful week with Holly! She is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. I really enjoyed spending time with her and her two lovely dogs - they made the stay even more fun. Holly made everyday life easy-going, and her relaxed and caring attitude made everything very comfortable. The tasks were clear, fair, and well-organized, and I always felt appreciated for my work. The accommodation was beautiful, and exploring the Gold Coast was easy with public transport nearby. I would highly recommend her to any Workawayer looking for an enjoyable experience!

He came during a week of chopping and chipping, unfortunately for him there wasn't much variation, but he stuck at it and handled the chipper without a problem

Wow what a wonderful experience. This was my first workaway and I am so happy and lucky that it was. Such a beautiful property, family and atmosphere. So many chickens and biodiversity. If you're looking to be enriched by sustainability and permaculture practices and education, this is your spot. I was so comfortable talking to Lucia, Henrique and the boys as well as Ze, Lucia's dad, even though we do not have a language in common. The sleeping accommodation was equally as wonderful and there was always food readily available. Maximum of five hours of work a day which is easy to get out of the way in the mornings alongside Lucia's father. Henrique and Lucia are very smart people and very willing to teach you anything you want to know about current and historical Portugal. I cant emphasize enough what a great experience this was, I really felt like I was a part of the family, except for the crazy geese :) If you are nervous about workaway, looking to ease in to the experience and take it at your own pace, this is the place for you. The house is an easy walk to the little town of Pinhal Novo which is generally pretty quiet yet full of locals, grassy parks and plenty of Super Bock. Also a short bus to Lisbon station as well as to Setubal (beach town/fishing village) the other direction. I would absolutely come again :)

Emma stayed with us for three weeks and we had an amazing time together. The first two weeks we worked together in the garden, build a bench, harvest our fruit trees and did some general maintenance. During the last week she had to work alone cause my university started. But that was also no problem. She did great work and our garden looked very well-maintained during her stay. Thank you for that! But also besides work we really enjoyed her staying with our family. We've spend great hours together and she adapted to our family very easy. Emma, you are always welcome here and if you ever feel like you miss animals in Bonn, there are always some dogs, cats or ponies waiting here for you!

Eliav devait rester deux semaines à la maison, il est resté trois semaines, il aurait pu rester plus si il le souhaitait. Car c'était un plaisir de l'accueillir dans notre famille. Excellente adaptation, poli, respectueux et respectable. Il nous a bien aidé dans les différentes tâches demandées. Et puis, il a également préparé d'excellent repas. Eliav a maintenant un nouvel endroit pour loger en Belgique et c'est à Mons ! Merci à toi.

I stayed at Verena’s home for five days, and it was my very first Workaway experience. I’m truly happy that it happened with her! I really enjoyed my time there and learned a lot — not only about myself but also about my crafting skills and how to live a more sustainable lifestyle. A special, furry bonus was Verena’s adorable cat, Fitz, who made the experience even better. Thank you so much for this opportunity and for the warm, welcoming atmosphere you created! :) I would love to come back one day and enjoy your little paradise again.
