We had amazing time with Ada and Rino. The wineyard is in a beautiful spot with a sea view and a quick access to most beautiful beaches in Gallura and Aglientu. We helped with vendemmia and other tasks on the land and cantine and we stayed one month. Ada and Rino have open hearts and lots of patience. We didn't speak any Italian when coming to them and we started do understand a lot before we left. Ada cooked delicious food for us and we also had a few Polish lunches and one event trip together. It was very rich and relaxing time, a real flavour of Sardinian way of life. Thank you!

My experience in the farm was really good, my objective in my trip wasn’t mainly workaway. I came to visit some friends and travel around Germany but I really enjoyed spending time with the family, they were very welcoming and helpful. I shared more time with Anika and Björn during work and lunchtime, during breakfast I spent time with Angelika and Johannes, which despite the language barrier they did their best to spend this time with me. All of the people that I met in this experience are wonderful people with a lot of things to learn from them. The work was relatively simple but because it was my first workaway experience sometimes I found it a bit tiring but I got used to it. Anika was flexible and helpful with my plans to travel around Germany and going out during the weekends so I appreciated that a lot . Overall a wonderful experience.

Patrick has built some honestly incredible things on the land. The strawbale house is impressive. He knows a lot about the place and the country in general, if only someone is interested.I stayed 2 days and helped build a chicken enclosure. Patrick also makes excellent cheese. Sincerely recommend.

Hugo was a great Workawayer to have on our team. He worked mainly in hosting and reception and did it with a very calm and professional attitude. He learned the tasks quickly, handled guests with patience and kindness, and always kept a good mood even during busy moments. He was dependable, showed up on time, communicated clearly, and was proactive with tasks without needing constant supervision. He blended very well with both guests and staff, contributing to a friendly and organized environment. We fully recommend Hugo to any future host, he is responsible, easy to work with, and creates a positive atmosphere around him. We would happily host him again.

Excellent host. I stayed 4 days. Lots of tasty, organic food. I helped with cutting firewood, harvesting corn and gathering nuts. Cristina and her mom gave me just the cultural connection I needed to better understand and enjoy the Romanian mountains. Sincerely recommend.

From the moment Kieran arrived at the mill (in some style) it was clear he was going fit in effortlessly and be great company. His range of skills was impressive, from excavating the mill room to felling trees along the mill stream, from brush cutting and bramble pulling to pruning and training the most uncooperative of roses, from driving the little yellow dumper across the river and loading it up with wood to preparing delicious meals with enviable creative flair . Many coffees and pastries later we feel that we and the mill are lucky enough to have made another true friend. We are hugely grateful to Kieran for helping to make the last fortnight so productive and enjoyable, and we wish him all the luck he deserves with his future plans. We hope that before long he'll come back for another large slice of that tarte aux abricots; meanwhile any Workaway host will be lucky to have him.

Jette was a fantastic Workawayer and we would host her again without hesitation. She helped mainly with hosting and reception duties and did an excellent job, friendly with guests, responsible with check-ins/check-outs, and very quick to learn our systems. She was reliable, punctual, and didn’t wait to be told what to dom if something needed attention, she handled it. Communication with her was easy, she fit into the team naturally and respected the house rules. Overall, a very trustworthy and pleasant volunteer. Any future host can feel confident taking her. Highly recommended.

Let’s see, where do I start! I cycled into Soublecause in the middle of a long bike-packing journey across Europe. Who would’ve thought that I would cycle out a week later with new friends and a heart full of love for this place. If you get the chance to stay with Mo and David, don’t hesitate to take it - every day you’ll have a belly laugh for the soul, a good conversation for the mind, and a plate full of delicious food for the body. I should also mention that they have a great attitude towards work on the property - I genuinely enjoyed every task I took on and never felt pressured. The visits to town were also a special treat! For the keen ceramicists out there, know that one tip from Mo had me throwing forms on the wheel that I hadn’t been able to manage before. The one hardest part of staying here was leaving. Thank you for everything guys, I feel quite lucky to have stumbled upon you two in life. I’m kicking my feet just thinking about coming to visit again! Until next time, Thomas

Juliette and Dimitri were wonderful, they got a huge project done for us in the week they were here, which helped us out so much. It was a lot of hard work and they just dug in. Very polite and friendly, and Dimitri especially gave my cats much petting. We would be happy to have them back again, and wish them all the best for the rest of their stay in Canada.

It was a real pleasure to have Theo with us! He teamed up wonderfully with our Chilean couple, especially since he could also speak Spanish. Theo is easygoing, flexible, and has a solid knowledge of plants. Even though he stayed with us for only a week, he quickly adapted to our daily rhythm. He is very reliable, kind, and calm — a truly pleasant presence to have around. Theo is interested in starting his own food forest, and I hope I can offer him some guidance along the way if he ever needs it. Theo mentioned that he might come back one day — we would really appreciate that! Hopefully see you again, Theo!

My experience here was outstanding! Lucia, Piergianni and Kaya are exceptional hosts. Want to visit Venice but also have a retreat in nature? Come here! There's a lot of work to do here – but! The tasks are manageable and satisfying! And afterwards, there's delicious food in great company! Are you looking for a relaxing place, a cosy bed and nice people? This is the place for you! :) I stayed for a month in this wonderful place and don’t want to miss a single second of it! Lucia! I look forward to visiting again in the future! Arrivederci ;)

Frédéric stayed with us for two weeks and offered valuable support during a very important and personal situation. His help in caring for my husband, who has dementia was a great relief for us. Frédéric was always patient, kind, and reliable, and he often went for walks with my husband, which both of them clearly enjoyed. I found Frédéric to be a friendly, attentive, and respectful person who adapts well to new situations. Living together was pleasant and uncomplicated. We also profited from each other in learning and teaching the language French/German. We are very grateful for his help and wish Frédéric all the best and many wonderful experiences on his furture travels. Angela

Wir haben uns auf eine 1.200 km lange Reise begeben und wurden mit einer wunderschönen, unvergesslichen Woche auf Ediths Hof belohnt. Es gab jeden Tag die unterschiedlichsten Dinge zu erledigen, von kleineren Reparaturen, der Kartoffelernte (immer begleitet von neugierigen Ziegen) bis zum Boot aus dem Wasser holen und winterfest machen. Die gemeinsamen Mahlzeiten mit teils langen und anregenden Küchengesprächen waren sehr gemütlich. Lange Spaziergänge im Wald mit Hündin Deva sowie gemeinsame Ausflüge (z.B. nach Östersund) haben allen gut getan. Wir haben Edith als eine liebevolle, offene und freundliche Gastgeberin kennengelernt. Leider verging unser Woche auf Ihrem Hof viel zu schnell. Für uns war es wie ein kleines Paradies und wir werden Edith, Deva und die frechen Ziegen vermissen.

Hey Kathy und Salve Tom.... Ihr zwei habt ein wunderschönes Zuhause und eine wunderschöne Art und Weise! Euer Projekt ist sehr interessant und wird immer schöner & mit ganz viel Liebe verpackt. Die verschiedenen Arbeiten mit Holz haben mich total interessiert, genauso wie die Reparatur im Stall. Meine Kette, die ich basteln durfte und mit einem Bergkristall verziert habe, trage ich jetzt täglich, Danke Kathy! Die Küche war immer superfein und supergesund, fast alles frisch aus dem eigenen Garten. Der Song "The Best" von Tina Turner passt einfach perfekt zur ganzen Lage. 1000-Dank und ich komme wieder Liebe Grüsse aus -Piran in noch in Slowenien. Grüessli David

My time with Tom was unforgettable! We went to a Dub FX concert, a dub reggae party in Bologna, Italy, and did so much more stuff, know I know Sloveni from all sides. I can truly recommend this Workaway place in his hole style. The work/life balance was excellent – working "Slow"enia style, with a relaxed atmosphere and lots of room for creativity and free spirit. There was allway stuff the to eat – coffee and fruits from the own farm were always available. I’ll be back for sure sometime in lift. Thanks for everything. Warm regards, David

The experience at Miguel's house was unique! 🥹 It's the last house in a small village of 40 families lost in the middle of the jungle! It's a very wild life! You wash in the river and live far away from everything and everyone! It was super relaxing and you totally connect with nature! 🌿 I learned a lot and realized that you can live well without many comforts. Highly recommended! 🥰

Hélène was my first Workawayer and she set the bar very high. She took initiative and worked late into the night to help me prepare for the arrival of my folks. Merci beaucoup for the chats, laughs, and stories. Bon voyage!

The experience at Felipe's house was fantastic! 🥹 I lived alone in one of his two houses, a 15-minute walk from the sea. It's a super quiet and relaxing place. I met lots of nice people with whom I shared surfing and long days. Highly recommended! 🥰

I spent two weeks at Markus and Angelina's place. Warning: perstorp is not at the location shown on the map in the ad. It takes time to take a good care of the dogs and it is a HUDGE responsability. Lives are in your care. But I didnt feel it was work and I felt lucky to meet the dogs and to create a link with them. I didnt count and loved the time spent with the dogs. You feed them, clean the boxes, clean up a lot of poop, pet them, make their life as good as possible. Markus and Angelina are lovely people. As Markus, my english isnt the best ;) but we always found a way to communicate. He takes time to explain the rules and the tasks and he's very ok to repeat. The place is quiet isolated but you can join Pertsorp by 5min by car or 30min of walking. This people and dogs are in my heart and hopfully I'll be back one day.
