I spent an incredible week at Kelly’s. She is a woman of pure kindness, always open to meeting new people and sharing her life and experiences. The school offers engaging board games and fun activities for students. While I was there, I worked with one student, and it was such a joy to engage with him through English games. The school is spotless: a three-level building with shared rooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of materials and games to use during classes. Everything was simply perfect, and I can’t wait to go back. I’ll be endlessly grateful for all the conversations and activities we shared. Kelly took us to some pristine waterfalls, and we even went bamboo rafting down a river where we spotted wild elephants along the way. We also met an incredible woman named Jackie and visited her “Slow Mood Café,” which was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much again for everything. You and your place will always have a special spot in my heart. ❤️

I loved my stay at Dionny's so much that I stayed an extra week. She is such a kind and fun woman. I loved the farmwork and family meals. The area is so gorgeous and there's so much to do. It's definitely a great place to enjoy a gentle routine and lots of free time.

Shumpei is absolutely a gem! 💎 I appreciate his dedication, and his willingness to talk, share and support each other. He is very appreciative and kind. A great cook, socially open minded and respectful. We had inside jokes, laughed and he became quickly a beautiful part of our family. We miss him already!!

I stayed here for 5 weeks and I could not have had a better experience! The location of the apartment is about 10 stops on the metro from the cafe where the English club is and its very quick and also comes every few minutes so there is never a problem. Mustafa is a busy man with the cafe being relatively new so is usually at work but always made sure everything was okay and since returning home about three weeks ago, Mustafa and I, along with the amazing people of the English club have kept in touch! It is very casual and though you would have topics, most of the time they just want to have conversations and they love to learn about Europe 🇪🇺 It is very easy to get everywhere, the class is super fun, the apartment is also nice and shops and restaurants everywhere. I have made friends for life and I am sure you will too!

It was an amazing experience at the cabanas! The place is perfect, hosts are really quind and accessibles. They help you to improve your spanish. We painted a cabana during one week and we could enjoy the region the rest of the time. Thank you very much for your welcoming we want to come back for Sure!

It was a joy to host Jorge - he is a lovely, gentle and helpful man and very easy and good-natured to have around the house. He has lots of gardening skills and experience, high standards and works really hard. Jorge did lots of weeding, planting and mulching, as well as cleaning the solar panels and gutters on the roof. He's also a great cook and made delicious plant-based meals and fresh bread rolls! We had some great conversations about the similarities and differences between Chile and NZ. Importantly he is a big dog-lover and took great care of Suzi; they bonded big-time and she ended up sleeping most nights up in the cabin with him! I would highly recommend Jorge as a workaway guest and would host him again anytime.

I spent a little under a week with Josh and it was a lovely time. We did four hours of work each day of various jobs in his garden. His place is very calm and relaxing, after the buzz of the city. We had some great chats and Josh was easy to get along with, with heaps of knowledge about the plant world and sustainable farming! We also had a bonfire with his family one night, which was really special. Thankyou Josh for sharing your tranquil slice of auckland with me!

A massive thank you to Jennie and Steven for hosting me! they are a wonderful couple and made me feel very welcome. Jennie is very knowledgeable about gardening and always was clear and helpful with what I was expected to do. Helping with the church youth group was also fantastic and everyone I met was so welcoming.

My time at Orekei Korako was amazing. I stayed for three months over the winter period and couldn't have asked for a better start to my time in NZ. The accommodation provided is private and cozy and the work is easy with great customers. The full time staff as well as Nik and his family are all amazing and made me feel so welcome. If you have Hospo experiance and are willing to learn then this is a fantastic opportunity. I will definitely be back to visit again!!

I stayed for 5 days it was a truly wonderful experience in a beautiful place. Angela was very kind and flexible when I needed to change my schedule. She even picked me up by car from the Noto bus station,it’s huge help as it was raining. Also the way back,she took me to the bus terminal in Syracuse. And alwsys provided delicious home cooked meals. Thanks again Angela‼︎ The countryside is magical, a river flows right beside the field, and you can feel hear the calming sound of the water. Surrounded by orange, mandarin, olive, and pomegranate trees, it’s the perfect place to feel peace and connection with nature. In the night I saw wonderfully stars up close.I had great days everywhere in the places. Angela lives in harmony with her surroundings natural she’s a beautiful, charming, and inspiring person, musician and good mother who truly enjoys life. During my stay I was able to work with olive picking, cracking walnuts and almonds, carrying firewood, cutting weeds, and trimming new shoots around the trees. And I was very lucky to join a home party this time, It was an unforgettable experience warm people, nature, music, and heart. About thirty persons came, bringing food & drinks, and nice music. The atmosphere was full of joy and community. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. I would be happy to help you again. I will definitely be back!! Grazaie mille Angela xx

Great experience overall. I stayed a week. Did flooring, fed and watered chickens and turkeys. Picked potatoes and eggs. Watched a film. I worked only with David. I met Kristine right at the end, the night before leaving. Dates did change a bit, but I am fine with that. I am used to going with the flow. Nice bed, and good people. Averaged 3.5 - 4 hours a day. We shared a meal, as it was a birthday, the rest of the food I supplied for myself. Id love the opportunity to come back.

Sara is a true gem of a person. She stayed with us for one week, during which her friend Jon joined. Although she was still recovering from an injury, she was incredibly helpful moving projects forward. Sara helped grout a mosaic, sand boards, clean the tiny house, and volunteered at two foodshares! Besides this, she was just wonderful to be around. Sara has a rich laugh, open heart, and beautiful stories to share. She is an excellent communicator and worked well collaboratively and independently. Any host would be lucky to have Sara be part of their project.

Luisa ist super friendly, cute, helpful, adventurous and really easy going. It was a pleasure receiving her. We become friends and we're hoping that she comes back soon:)

Renato is an awesome host, a very friendly and positive guy. I felt very welcome and had an amazing time. The beaches are beautiful and I had many opportunities to go surfing. :)

I stayed with Andro and Marina for 4 weeks this September/October and had an incredible time. I was fortunate enough to be there for the grape harvest and wine making process! It was such a special experience and I am so thankful I got to learn from the best. Andro and Marina love their home and land so deeply. Their garden, view, home, etc are all so stunning. It is a great place to relax. The cherry on top: Andro and Marina are both incredible cooks! Everything was delicious, fresh, and nutritious. I’m looking forward to making some of their recipes for my friends and family. Thank you Andro and Marina!!

I loved my time at Michelle farm. I came all the way from Scotland and felt right at home on her farm. Most days were the same with mucking out and feeding horses but the work is very easy and chill. they're is a lot of horses and I was very grateful for everytime I got to ride as it was very much a benefit that not a lot of places give you. Michelle cooks great meals every night for us which was always perfect after a long day of working. As a workawayer u also get the benefit of Michelle providing a car for you which gives you the freedom to go into town and travel the province a bit more. I would use the car to go out with friends most nights which I very much appreciate that she would allow us to use her car for this. I really loved my time here, especially with all the friends I made as it is a very social place where you get to connect with a lot of different people so you never feel lonely. I would very much love to come back to Michelle's farm in the future and will miss her and the farm very much.

La experiencia con Ricardo fue muy interesante y entretenida. Estuvimos 10 días de voluntarios, y desde el primer momento Ricardo fue disponible y amable con nosotros. Las tareas son varías, pero principalmente se trata de cuidar las zonas alrededor de la casa y mantener limpio el hogar y la jungla. El horario es flexible según la tarea. Las áreas comunes son bonitas, hay una grande piscina donde pasar el tiempo libre, y la palapa es acogedora. En colectivo se puede llegar a la playa de Puerto Morelos, que se encuentra a unos 20 minutos de transporte. Ricardo nos ha llevado muchos días, siempre avisaba de cuando iba a bajar al pueblo. La experiencia cultural ha sido bonita, hemos intercambiado muchas informaciones, además de participar en actividades como canoa o salsa con Ricardo. Para los voluntarios hay unos bungalows con baño privado, aunque el nuestro no fuera lo mejor porque con las lluvias había alguna gotera en el baño. Pero la otra casita de voluntarios estaba en buen estado 😊 Tener en cuenta que no hay nevera y hay solo un fogón para cocinar, pero solo se trata de organizarse con los otros voluntarios para los horarios. Sin duda volveremos siempre que pasemos por Puerto Morelos! Gracias Ricardo por esta linda experiencia en la jungla 🥰 Asia y Joel ✨

Izzy est vraiment une des merveilleuses rencontres que l'on peut faire sur Workaway. Toujours prête à tout, toujours de bonne humeur, c'est vraiment une super quinzaine que nous avons passé avec elle. Hyper tranquille mais en même temps hyper énergique (oui, ça paraît curieux dit comme ça), avec Izzy les choses bougent, les choses avancent, on peut parler pendant des heures, et on ne passe que du bon temps. Mention spéciale à sa patience hors pair avec les enfants, l'un d'entre eux m'a demandé aujourd'hui même si tu reviens bientôt :-) A très bientôt et merci pour tout

Alina, stayed with us for yweeks and she really jumped into family life. She even helped the kids with their homework after their return to school. This in itself was a huge help. She learned our routines quickly and is a methodical, and observant worker. She loved the chats and learning more about Irish culture. We wish Alina the best with her studies, which she conscientiously looked after during her stay here She is going to make a wonderful teacher
