We had the pleasure of hosting Leonora and Nelly, who were absolutely wonderful. From the moment they arrived, they were hardworking, reliable, and always willing to get stuck into any task. They completed everything quickly and without any fuss, which made things so easy for us. Both were very independent and self-sufficient, needing little direction but always doing an excellent job. They were polite, kind, and lovely to have around — a real joy in every way. We’d happily welcome them back anytime and can wholeheartedly recommend them to any future hosts!

Trang and her family are so warm and welcoming. They really made this Workaway special and made me feel at home. At the centre, it can feel a little quiet being the only volunteer. Having others around would make it more social. The schedule is relaxed, classes start around 5p.m. for 2–4 hours. The kids are adorable and full of energy! They usually run around before class, which can make it tricky to settle them at first, but you can ask the TA to help. Hai Phong is a lively, busy city but doesn’t have a lot to do during the day besides cafés and local spots. It’s perfect if you want slow days and time to yourself. Thank you again to Trang and her lovely family for all their kindness and care.

I had a wonderful stay at this place in Bunovo. The cultural exchange was excellent and the host Lala was amazing as well. The work was not too difficult. The expectations were reasonable and I would definitely recommend this stay to any first time stays or anyone else. The area around it is beautiful and the community is amazing especially in summertime!

With Gillian and Stephen, I immediately felt at home. My relaxation area was comfortable, and the house is large, welcoming, and very practical for getting everything done. Everything has been designed to make tasks easier: the right tools, good advice, and the time needed to work well with flexible hours! What more could you ask for! In return, excellent cuisine, very varied and to my liking, and in good company with the two dogs who just want to be petted. I spent two wonderful weeks, not to mention the help they provided with a purchase and the walks in the region with Stephen and the dogs, and I'm forgetting some... Thank you both again for everything!!! Annie

We had a great workaway here! Lucy was very sweet and caring and the tasks were varied and fun to do. Hours were flexible too, so you can plan when you want to do a trip or something. We had some cozy dinners together and explored Noosa on our days off😊 Would recommend!

Absolutely fantastic stay with Jutta and Marco! It was our first workaway experience and it coud not have been better. Very welcoming and generous people, sustainable farm, various jobs (from collecting chestnuts or preparing wood to pressing apple juice with friends and neighbourghs), comfortable living, wonderfull organic food Jutta makes and everything surrounded by beautifull Ligurian mountains. Well, there is some magic in this place. Highly recommend and would definetely love to come back.

Thank you Justine and Frederic! I had a wonderful stay. It was so much fun taking care of the lovely cat and chickens, and of course the two boys. I really had such a great and enjoyable time. Communication was easy and the location was good.

We had a wonderful time with Mark. He was always very respectful of the family, the dog, and the house rules. He was always very active, generous, and sensitive to our practical needs throughout the day. Cooking, baking, cleaning, and fixing some of the house's wooden furniture were some of his activities. Mark was a perfect music teacher for our children and a lovely tango teacher for the neighbors. We highly recommend his company.

Not even one of the worst flood of the last years in our area stopped Hannah from coming to us, and we are so grateful for the week she spent at our place! She helped us harvesting olives, that is a hard, repetitive job. All our animals, that are all rescues and have very particular personalities, really liked her, and that's extremely important for us! She joined the goats walks, she helped us feeding the ducks and the chickens, and in general she had always a willing to help and can do attitude. Don't let yourself fool from her young age; she has already lots of experience and we had very deep conversations about Nature and the human specie. Thank you so much again Hannah: you know where we live and you'll always be welcome!

I enjoyed my stay at Liesbeth's very much. The house and gite are large, well equipped and comfortable. Liesbeth herself is a warm and attentive person. Her artwork and sculptures are impressive, we shared interesting conversations over coffee or wine, the planning for jobs was clear and we had open communication. She made sure I had enough food in the gite, she also prepared delicious meals. To walk the surrounding countryside paths with Flow was an added pleasure. I wish her all the best for the future and may pass by again if I can.

living in the food forest guided by johan was a special experience. He has a steady patience. I enjoyed lunches with him and all the things I learned in the forest. It's an amazing location. It's a great example of how people can move from sea shores to forests and live in tune with nature.

Antonia was an absolute pleasure to host! From the moment she arrived, she brought a positive, friendly energy to our home. She was reliable, hardworking, and always eager to help with any task—she helped with gardening, cooking, animal care, cleaning and playing with my daughter. Antonia is thoughtful, easy to communicate with, and fit in perfectly with our family and routine. We really appreciated her initiative and attention to detail, and she always approached everything with a smile. Beyond her work, she was great company—kind, curious, and genuinely interested in learning and sharing experiences. We’d welcome her back anytime and highly recommend her to any future hosts. Workawayer offered labour for accommodation exchange about a month ago (September 2025). Messages exchanged to confirm availability and host location. No show on due date (20th October) and no communication from Workawayer.

We had a wonderful stay at Suella and John's. They were great to work for, very easy going and flexible. We had a good mix of work and the food was delicious, we will miss John's fruit salads!

It was a great ~2 weeks helping out at the villa and church! As their profile says and as you can imagine from a renovation project, the tasks varied a bit day to day depending on need. Prokop and his family were great hosts, even with six of us there at the same time in a house that was an active construction zone -- truly inspiring to see their drive to update the place and make something new in the area. I hope to go back in the coming years to see the progress, and wish them all the best.

Helene and Nicolas are a lovely couple, enthusiastic towards life and very "international". And in particular Helene is sweet, caring and empathetic and she is wonderful in cleaning and very independent in her work. She also cooks very well!! They proved to be very flexible in the tasks they performed and they were very organized in arranging their life. I put four star in the communication because sometimes I had difficulties in having feedback from them about the timing of the work or making the point at the end of the day and this caused me some difficulties to arrange my working day, since I was working with them. We hope that they will be able to make their dreams come true!!

Richard from Canada was one of the best volunteers and people I've ever had here,what a guy! He stayed just a few days, but they went by way too fast. Full of genuine questions about the place, the country, and our culture, his real interest made every chat so engaging. His help was huge, going way beyond on tasks like mapping, and he raised the bar for everyone as a top-notch resource. I wish he could have stayed longer, and he's invited to return anytime. We'll miss you, Richard. Thanks for everything!

It was my pleasure to be the host for this guy. He helped me out with a couple of tasks and everytime I walk in to my cellar I will see the shelves he build for me from partly old material. So everything is organised and off my sometimes wet floor now! Ben is easy to work with and to be trusted with the work he does. He is a pretty quiet person, but in the end we had some nice chats. He communicates well and knows how to find his way around. It was my pleasure to host Ben and I hope one day you will know where youre dreamplace will be build! Thanks again!
