This was my first Workaway experience, and I really loved it! The environment was very relaxing, the other volunteers were amazing, and the hosts were kind, welcoming, and flexible. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and friendly experience. I learned a lot, met wonderful people, and felt right at home from day one. Thank you for making my first Workaway so memorable!

Matt thank you so much for all the work you did whilst you were here with us. Sorry that we were both unwell during your stay with us but we appreciated everything you did from gardening to mowing the lawns and some. Matt was respectful, honest, clean tidy and organised, nothing was a problem and we thoroughly enjoyed Matt’s company thank you again and wish you well safe travels for the rest of your journey throughout Aotearoa. We stayed for one week at Dionys house and left today which was very sad. This was our first Workaway in Peru and it was an amazing experience! Dionys is literally fine with everything you want to do. We had food, warm water all the time, very nice hikes, such a cute group of people including diony and her daughter Andrea and son Alan. In the end of the week we even kept diony to the 3 day fiesta of tinco and been dancing for 3 days long. Diony was teaching us how to crochet, we made some cakes and of course the sheep and dog or always with you. Would recommend 100% !!

Fleur and Yent are such a fun and positive couple from Belgium! They truly enjoyed working on the farm, helping us with beautiful photos around the place, and joining our trip together. They brought so much joy and laughter to our little community, sharing stories, travel experiences, and cultural exchanges with everyone. We’re so happy to have had the chance to spend time together — the two weeks passed by so quickly! It felt like there was still so much more we could learn and share. We hope that every host they meet along their journey will feel the same warm and positive energy they brought to our little farm in the middle of the jungle. 🌾

I stayed at Frits’ place for just a week, and it was a great experience. Frits is a true gentleman and a very kind person. The place is super nice, very comfortable, and the tasks were both interesting and enjoyable. I trully recomend the experience

I had an absolutely fantastic two weeks at Janet's house. From the start she was kind, accomodating, and compassionate. She deeply cares for her animals, which is reflected in how well they are looked after. This was my first workaway experience which I am really glad for because my standards have now been set. During my stay I got to cultivate garden patches, look after the animals, and help Janet with home tasks. I even had the privilege of getting some private lessons with Jody and Smurf! Janet's many recommendations to nearby sites to visit only enrichened the experience. If you are an animal lover, this is the perfect place to stay as well since Scooby, Brooke, Jody, Smurf, Blue, Marley, and the donkeys are just absolutely wonderful to be around. To Janet and Felix, thank you for opening your home to me. I had lots of fun and I hope to see you again soon!

Ed and Petra were lovely hosts, I was sad to leave them. We worked together building a terrace, clearing beautiful old paths and coming up with smart ways to move big objects. Ed has a very paternal energy that is really nice do be around. They kept me strong with coffee breaks and yummy food. The house is gorgeous and there is lots of fun projects to be a part of. We also played chess and there is even a hot tub that Ed will make up for you to sit under the stars. I hope to go back and hang out with them again someday soon!

Ms.Tuba & Ms. Harleen were volunteering with us around two weeks. They are so humble and nice person. We like the way of them as International Teacher experiences. The students were so fun to learn and practice with them. We have a lo of fun as part of family, so they can feel the second home in our host. A short story was keeping update information when they send me a message then after helping to book over night bus from Medan Airport to Takengon. And lucky one they sent me share loc in LIve so i can monitor to pick them up at Bus Station in Takengon even early morning I pick them up with set my alarm. We did take around the lake, and a boat trip is fun they love it also the lake side like Swisszerland also the hill view of Takengon make their eyes loving with the amazing view. Thank for helping so much make students happy and you guys is humble person. So if you are a host. Recommended them to be a volunteer to you .

I spent a month at Paddy's for my first Workaway experience and it was so refreshing! At first, it can be difficult to step outside your comfort zone, but it's definitely worth it. Paddy is really friendly, easygoing, and always willing to teach you something. His place is truly magical, and I was there in the fall, so I can only imagine what it must be like in the spring! Stephanie (the neighbor) is also very nice and a wonderful cook! Life is simple there and it's the perfect place to recharge your batteries, far from civilization. We worked every day except weekends, but we took regular breaks, which made the work very enjoyable. We did a lot of gardening (watch out for spiders), but we also did some art! During my stay, we drew and painted a beautiful Celtic pattern. The weekends are free time, so you can do whatever you want. There are many beautiful walks to take in the mountains, from where you can see the sea. You can also take the bus to visit a town or village in the area, for the day or the whole weekend. I really enjoyed my stay here and I hope you enjoy yours!

It's one of the best expérience of workaway I had. I was supposed to pass one month with Amber and Eric and grâce and finally impasse all the summer with them. The place it's Amazing, close to the city but also close to the nature. The work it's relatively easy if your organized. Eric and Amber were Amazing host, the food it's really good and so typical (bear, bison, moose) Amber is in an Amazing cook. Eric it's really fun and we shared an Amazing expérience in Yukon nature. Grace is adorable Active child like to play. I hope I can do an other season with them. I fell in love of this place. Thanks you so much for one of best summer. ❤️

Hosting Mitch was an real pleasure! He is a kind, easygoing, and adaptable person who immediately fit into my daily life. He was patient and caring, which allowed us to have very interesting conversations in English. Thanks to him, I was able to practice and improve my English, he was an excellent teacher during his stay. Mitch showed genuine interest in our local life, culture, and surroundings. I loved learning more about his life in Australia and all the amazing experiences he shared with me. The week flew by way too quickly, and I honestly wish he could have stayed longer. I highly recommend Mitch to any future host.

Carson is a friendly, politeand easy going guy with no big demands.He helped us with the chicken and with a lot of weeding and small tasks around the house. This are not the most popular jobs, but he did it with a lot of endurance. It's also very nice to have a conversation with him, because he speaks very clear and understandable english. Thanks for having you.

Ruth und Martin sind sehr nette Mennchen, und sie haben sehr toll geholfen am Campingplatz. Wir vermissen sie. Freundlich, effetive, tuechtich.

Je n'ai pu passer qu'une semaine chez Michelle et Thierry à la fin du mois de juillet 2025, mais ça a été une magnifique expérience dont je garderai de très beaux souvenirs. Le travail manuel, sous la supervision de Thierry, a occupé l'essentiel de nos matinées avec Marilou, l'autre volontaire présente au même moment : travail au potager (récolte de haricots et patates, semis, désherbage, paillage...), avec les animaux (déplacement de l'enclos des agneaux, nettoyage de l'abri des moutons) et entretien général (récolte de bois, broyage d'herbes et branches, creusage d'un -gros- trou pour l'entretien d'une canalisation...). Les tâches étaient physiques dans l'ensemble mais surtout utiles, variées et instructives. Et surtout, en parallèle de tout ça, j'ai eu la chance d'être présent en même temps qu'un groupe d'enfants en séjour à la ferme pour une semaine. Michelle a fait en sorte de m'intégrer à plusieurs activités ainsi qu'aux repas en commun, ce qui m'a parfois donné l'impression d'être animateur de colo. Cette occasion de passer du temps avec les enfants, d'apprendre à les connaître, de partager des jeux et de leur raconter mes aventures à vélo a vraiment été une expérience géniale dont je garderai de très beaux souvenirs. L'hébergement dans la petite caravane en haut de la colline et les repas faits maison ont aussi très bien complété ce séjour au très chouette gîte de la Tuilerie. Merci beaucoup Michelle et Thierry et tout le meilleur pour la suite !

Meeting David was a genuine pleasure. I was incredibly lucky; he wasn't actively looking for a volunteer anymore, but he happened to check my message at just the right time. When I arrived at his place, he immediately told me that while he was no longer seeking a volunteer, he was happy to host me out of simple kindness. David offered me a cozy, comfortable, and private room. He shares the house with Kervin, another genuine soul from Venezuela, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We had engaging discussions, and they were both so fun and easy-going, and remarkably patient while listening to my Spanish. Kervin even cooked a delicious Venezuelan meal, and their generosity extended to sharing all their food and drinks with me as well. More benefits: There are super cute pets: one huge dog and two expert cats who are eager to give you a free massage! Overall, my stay was exceptional. I feel grateful for their help and hospitality. I truly hope to meet David and Kervin again someday, or perhaps have the chance to welcome them to Thailand!

Philipp ist ein junger Mann mit schon erstaunlich viel Lebenserfahrung (auch & gerade handwerklich). Er ist wissbegierig, lernfreudig und sehr interessiert daran, auch was z.B. echten beruflichen Erfolg ausmacht. Immer hilfsbereit, war es eine Freude, ihn hier zu haben. Wir wünschen ihm einen wunderbaren Lebensweg und sind sicher, dass er ihn findet! Philipp is a young man with an impressive amount of life experience already (especially when it comes to practical and hands-on skills). He is curious, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in things like what makes real professional success. Always helpful, it was a pleasure to have him here. We wish him a wonderful life journey and are sure he will find his path!

Staying here for a bit over 3 weeks was a good experience. Bernhard was welcoming and seeing his forest garden was inspirational. There was always enough work to do but never too much, and on free time there were many places to explore.

Fue un gusto tener a Malaika en la granja. Es una persona muy amable y comunicativa. Le encanta viajar y nos hacia cuentos de sus viajes muy entretenidos, maneja perfecto el español y se esmera por mejorarlo siempre. Realizo tareas de todo tipo, en el parque y en la huerta, Tambien ayudo en la cocina. Era super amable con los animales y nos ayudo a alimentarlos y limpiar sus espacios. Malaika siempre hacia mas tareas de las que le encomendaba, demostrando un gran compromiso con el voluntariado, se adelantaba a las necesidades . La convivencia e integracion con la familia fue muy buena. Como es tan viajera y piensa quedarse mucho tiempo en America, nos encantaria poder volver a recibirla si pasa otra vez por esta zona.
