It was great three weeks in Concordia, Entre Rios. Estela is an excellent host, she always would ask me if I'm comfortable doing tasks before giving them to me. Tasks were varied and pretty basic maintenance work (cleaning swimming pool, water the lawn, taking care of the garden, etc), so it was easy and chill. She would always let me rest if I finish them earlier than 5 hrs/day, which was nice. Also, she'd always bring ingredients for cooking and sweat treats, which was very nice. I have stayed alone for 3 weeks in private separate house, with my own kitchen, dry bathroom and shower outside. I have had complete privacy which I really appreciate after being traveling for so long and staying in hostels. The most important project what I have completed there was the mural mosaics, I really thankful to Estela for trusting my creative vision and let me do something like this. Even tho it was my first time working with ceramic pieces I dedicated a lot of time for this project and I was really content and proud with the result. In free time I could explore the city of Concordia, which is not very touristy city and because of that I found it very interesting to visit. I would spend time trying ice creams in multiple ice cream shops, drinking coffee or just pass along the river shore. On days off I have had chance to go to the lake and termas, which was an amazing experience. Overall, I'm very thankful to Estela for her hospitality, and I wish to come back to Concordia in different season. I would highly recommend this project to those who are looking for some calm and relaxing experience.

Anja and Dominik are extraordinarily gracious and generous hosts. I spent nearly a month enjoying myself caring for their delightful, well-behaved toddler (I miss visiting the animals with you on our walks, Oskar!) and helping harvest fruit and veggies from their greenhouse and garden. They communicate in a kind, clear, straightforward fashion, are patient and pleasant to spend time with and all the fresh, organic food was fantastic! My accommodation was lovely (plus a phenomenal view from the bedroom window) and they lent me an electric bike which was perfect for getting around the mountains. For those who like quiet and nature this is a marvelous place to work. For those like me who love all things historical, there are several castles and other historic sites you can visit nearby which I highly recommend.

We stayed with Diana, Bastian, and Jule for three weeks in October of 2025, and we felt welcomed into their family from the moment we arrived. It would be an understatement to say they felt like long-lost family. We spent most of our time with them, except for when we were working. Our main task was to construct a fence for their goats. We worked together to design, purchase materials, and construct the fence in a fair and collaborative project. Diana was amazing to work with: the project was a collaboration, start to finish, and it always felt like she truly valued our thoughts and work. On the weekends, they took us to see local highlights, including Rothenburg, the bouldering hall, and the annual festival, Muswiese. They were also more than happy to give us a ride to the train to go to Nuremberg on one of our days off. They are both amazing cooks, and I think they cooked every German food known to humankind for us, all while accommodating one of us being a vegetarian. In exchange, we cooked some of our favorite foods, which they happily provided the ingredients for. We already miss them and our fun nights playing Uno with Jule! Diana, Basitan, and their daughter are exactly the type of people you hope to meet when you are far from home and in a new place, and we could not recommend them highly enough! Thank you!!

Despite my long experience as a volunteer, I have to say this volunteering with Vic surprised me. I was finally able to rest after a long journey and feel at home, thanks to this magical place. First of all, it is located in Pipa, not far from the beach, with a very spiritual and relaxing atmosphere. Then, Vic offered me a very comfortable room with my own bed, and I was also able to participate in the therapies she offers each week, firstly mantra sessions, but also sound healing. It was also very enjoyable to share time with the people living at the temple. I met some wonderful individuals. And the work itself, cleaning of the house and repaint the place, was very well managed by Vicky, who allowed me a certain level of independence and gave me a lot of autonomy regarding the garden so that I could take care of it. I highly recommend this volunteer experience because of Vic's personality and intentions! Also because of her respect for the volunteers as well as the incredibly open-minded environment, which offers a lot of support for personal development. A very big thank you for opening the doors of the temple to the program, i really feel honoured to have been the first volunteer:)

I stayed with Amelia for almost two weeks and it was lovely ! Everything was very very nice. My tasks were mainly taking care of the garden : cut trees, cut the grass, taking care of the plants, cut some wood for winter. Food was excellent and i had the super company of Amelia's cats (they are adorable). I had a very nice cultural exchange, learned some italian, learned about the Piemontese culture, dishes and history. It was a very nice experience staying with Amelia and talking about everything, she is lovely. I recomend to anyone that would like to visit the region, learn italian and being integrated in a family ! I would definetly get back one day if i can.

I stayed at Zeze's for 10 days and it was a wonderful experience ! The work consisted of taking care of the dogs 🐶 and helping to prepare the rooms and meals when there are guests in the lodges. Here you have plenty of time to yourself in a nice place with a beautiful landscape 🌞 You can also help with the horses and ride them for a stroll 🐴. Zeze is a very attentive host, he listens to you and makes sure you feel comfortable and have everything you need. I recommend this workaway for sure ! 🙌🏻

The time we spent with Seraina and Jeroen was really special for us, as it was our first Workaway experience and frankly, I’m a bit scared it set the bar way too high for our future ones. We met people from diverse backgrounds, improved our English, learned new skills, tried really tasty meals, and most importantly, had fun together. The surroundings are also really beautiful, with many sandy beaches, cliffs, and a lively city around the dock. Altogether, we immensely enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend working with Jeroen and Seraina to anybody. We wish you the very best in life.

I spent a wonderful month at Dirk’s guesthouse, and it was truly a great experience. Dirk and his family are very kind, friendly, and welcoming people. From the first day, they made me feel at home and part of their community. The place is peaceful and surrounded by nature — perfect if you enjoy calm environments and working outdoors. The atmosphere is relaxed, and everyone is respectful and easy to get along with. I really enjoyed the balance between work and free time, and I always felt appreciated and supported. Thank you very much, Dirk, for your kindness and for sharing this beautiful project. I’m grateful for the experience and the opportunity to meet you and your lovely family.

An English version is available below. English version A big thank you goes out to Christian and Nicole for their help before winter. You were a huge support with all the little things that need to be done before the cold season: outside in the sunshine, inside when it rains. In tune with nature—which determines what needs to be done each day here. I was impressed by how naturally Christian and Nicole recognized what needed to be done and how best to go about it. The work was done very skillfully: in the garden and earth cellar, tidying up the workshop, or bringing in the summer furniture and the boat, which would not have fit in the boathouse without Christian's craftsmanship. And it was also wonderful to see that after each job, the tools used were cleaned and returned to their proper place. I found Christian and Nicole to be very pleasant guests who integrated easily into farm life and enjoyed the flair and ambience of my 150-year-old forest farm. I also appreciated their open and interested attitude towards trying new things. Thanks to Nicole's creative nature, my perennial herbs now have their own name tags in German and Swedish. We also got a taste of Jämtland culture when we visited the local traditional handcraft market. Nicole and Christian were delighted: “Without local knowledge, we would never have visited it,” said Nicole. If you find yourselves in my area again, you are always welcome!

Working here was my first experience with Workaway, and it was a good one! The hostel is very quiet and working there 4 hours a day, 5 days a week is very legit. Carole is really adorable and just incredibly kind. You feel immediately welcome. All the volunteers also arrived at the same time, it was really nice to meet everyone. I recommend this experience if you like to party and enjoy the beach, in a very touristy city.

It was my second workaway experience and it couldn't have been better! I felt at home in my cute little house, the meals were excellent and the staff was so nice and friendly. I made new friends, explored the Drakensberg and went to a concert in the Drakensberg Boys Choir School. Shelley even organized a Safari-Trip in the Nambiti-Park for me! Definitely a 5Star!

Chloé stayed with us last year and was truly amazing! We needed help with tree cutting, and I couldn’t believe how skilled and confident she was — a real professional tree cutter! She also helped around the house with cleaning, organizing, and tidying wherever needed. What stood out most was her maturity and initiative — she didn’t need direction, she simply saw what needed to be done and did it. Chloé is hardworking, kind, and dependable. We would highly recommend her to any host — she’s fantastic!

Ryusei joined us right after we finished a big DIY home renovation, and his help with the cleanup was amazing! He originally planned to stay for one month but ended up staying nine months, becoming a true part of our family. During that time, he helped with so many things — from cleaning snow in the winter to weeding, planting, and organizing in the spring and summer. After a few months, Ryusei also found a full-time job at a Japanese restaurant, yet he still managed to help us around the house and garden whenever we needed. He used his time so efficiently and balanced everything with such dedication. He is incredibly kind, reliable, and accommodating to our family’s needs. We truly miss him and are so grateful for all the help and warmth he brought into our home. We’re already looking forward to seeing him again next year! Definitely recommend to other hosts

Spending 2 weeks at the farm was a fantastic first Workaway experience 🧡 Emine has been hosting volunteers on the farm for many years and she really knows how to make it a great experience for both sides - as a volunteer you can expect a balanced and fair work schedule, varied daily tasks with clear instruction, a clean and comfortable bedroom to chill in, and hearty home-cooked Turkish meals, which were SO much appreciated. She gave some great tips for days off too, in particular a Roman bath at a nearby beach which was such a unique experience! Highlights for me were the conversations at mealtimes with Emine and the other volunteers, the (almost) daily sea swims at the nearby beach, bonding with the animals 🐶😺🐴… and of course the MANTI 😍 Thank you Emine for your insights, your openness, and for the stories and conversations… both silly and serious! I leave the farm feeling peaceful and excited for the next chapter. A very easy recommendation to make!

Staying with Sven and Christina was amazing — they’re welcoming, kind, and always ready to share a laugh or an interesting story. The atmosphere felt relaxed and genuine from day one. The work was always fun and varied — from mowing the lawn to cleaning, organizing, and even helping with small building projects. There was always something to do, but never any pressure, and the days passed quickly in good company. The property is surrounded by an endless forest, perfect for running or long walks. I spent countless mornings exploring quiet trails and evenings watching the sky fill with stars — the light pollution here is almost nonexistent. The nearby lake is also great! Evenings often turned into fun hangouts with the family and other volunteers — ping pong, movies, or just chatting around the table. The food was always fresh and plentiful, and the desserts were a real highlight! Overall, a peaceful and fulfilling place to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy nature at its best.

We had a good experience staying at the farm, even though we probably didn’t come at the best time of the season. The main focus during our stay was maintenance work: preparing the greenhouse for winter, weeding, and helping with the last harvests of potatoes and leeks. We didn’t get to learn much about the farming process itself since it was the end of the season, but we still appreciated being part of the daily life on the farm. One of the highlights was spending time with the animals: cuddling the (baby) goats, giving lots of love to Percy the dog, and taking Nala for walks. We also shared a lovely Thanksgiving dinner together, which was a really nice moment. The family [redacted] had hosted many workawayers before us, so it was a quieter time on the farm, but we still appreciated their hospitality and the experience overall.

Thank you so much to everyone! The director Laura is amazing, professional and also super caring. She really tried to help us have a great experience. The staff at the institute are also great, big thank you to Marisol who helped us with the staff accommodation and was a great roommate. I spent a month here and enjoyed teaching classes so much. The schedule is fair, I had between one and three classes each day, Monday to Saturday with learners at A and B levels. You plan all your own lessons on topics that are provided, so I got the chance to do hands on learning and practice with lesson planning. The students are awesome, it was so fun teaching them because most are actively engaged and motivated to learn. The staff accommodation was good, an apartment 20 minutes walk from the institute and also from the main plaza. There was a grocery store and gym nearby. Tunja is a nice town, very calm and I always felt safe walking around alone in the day time. We travelled on the weekends to nearby towns to go to the hot springs and to check out Villa de Leyva, its very easy to take buses to nearby towns to get to know the area. Overall I highly recommend this workaway if you want a chance to teach English is a small, chill Colombian town! Thank you again for everything :)

We had such a lovely time staying with Maik! He was super flexible and kind to host us last minute, and communication was always great, he checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. The work was enjoyable and very manageable, and we really appreciated how relaxed the schedule was. We also got to hang out with him and his friends and enjoyed one of his amazing homemade paella's together! Thanks again for being such a generous and easygoing host 💛

We felt very comfortable with Reyna and Daniel. They are both very welcoming and took excellent care of us. We went on a picnic in the mountains together, learned a lot about cacao, and went on interesting excursions. They showed us many facets of their life here in Mexico. We also enjoyed working on the new cabana. We hope to return sometime. Thank you for everything, dear Reyna and Daniel. You hold a special place in our hearts.
