Vincent is an extremely talented, hard-working, punctual, and kind person. Vincent is well capable of hard work, and more important, can be left to work by himself in full confidence. He is a talented gardener, often critiquing our planting skills ;) Vincent constructed a raised bed in the garden, installed multiple shelves, cleaned out a barn,strimming grass, and planted tree's and hedges for us. He also had no problem in driving the tractor with little instructions. He was with us for approx. 10 days, and was very clean, and easy to live with. Just supply enough peanut butter and cheese and he is very happy! I hope he enjoyed his time with us, as we certainly enjoyed having him, learning about his culture, and is always welcome to come back to us. Hopefully next time, he might play a song on the guitar!!!

Alejandro stayed with us for a week in October and was so helpful, friendly, and polite. Our two younger kids (9, 12) clicked immediately with him - he helped with homework, art projects, going on walks, stayed with them while I was away... He brought special treats from Italy for us, prepared a couple of meals for us and cleaned the kitchen every day (huge help!), and worked in the garden for hours. He explored the city and was very independent. He was a thoughtful guest and helper and we would welcome him back anytime!

Taciana is a very nice lady, she is very clear on what she wants and the house is gorgeous. I had to do a deep cleaning of the cuisina, paint a wall, help her organise her stuff, i was basically helping her with the housework. The house is well situated, it is easy to go to different places by bus, Taciana will also be happy to give you a ride when she is going somewhere. I expected to learn more about the culture and the surroundings but Taciana is American and didn’t really show me around, that's why i haven't put 5 stars. Except from that, I would recommend Taciana to anyone.

I have been volunteering here for over 3 weeks and it has been a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and the opportunity to meet new, international people is unique, you get to know so many new cultures every day. The work here varies on the current needs, but speaking to customers and lending a hand with IT topics would be the main ones.

Liebe Anja, Charlie und Lea, wir hätten uns keine bessere Zeit irgendwo vorstellen können! Ihr wart so wunderbar nett und könnt jeden mit eurer guten Laune und Lebensfreude anstecken! Unsere Aufgaben bei euch wie das Jäten in den Gewächshäusern, das Mulchen, Häckseln, Brennholz machen, Renovieren des Wohnwagens und Dachdecken waren so abwechslungsreich, dass uns nie langweilig wurde. In unserer Freizeit sind wir mit dem Bus nach Granada gefahren und konnten sogar im Oktober noch ins Meer. Wir haben alles geliebt und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Danke für eure großartige Gastfreundschaft, alle Früchte, die wir essen durften und all den Spaß, den wir bei euch hatten!!!

Curiousity in buddhism and a wish to be among open and loving beings in a community, where it is possible to practice in meditation, with the practical work and socially, this place in beautiful surroundings gives the perfect opportunities. I'm so gratefull for this experience. The place is very organized and the contact both before coming and during the stay was optimal. A huge and warm thanks and gratitude for all to the team and the other workawayers I met for your welcoming and including attitude. I went back with a feeling of having a more healthy body - thanks to the great cook :) - and mind, than when I came :) Hope to visit this place another time 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽

Wonderful family out in the countryside! They were super great at making me feel like family and involving me in weekends or after volunteer hours. Their lifestyle is very refreshing and a bit off the grid, as well as holistic. If you enjoy the country side, and doing agricultural things, and a family environment this is definitely a great place to stay.

Roberto was a really incredible workaway for us. He was lovely to have around the house and fitted in very well with our family and participated in making great meals and tidying up. He was a very good worker who had great skills and took care for every task that he was given. We absolutely loved having him to stay and we were very sad to see him go as he was like part of the family. His lovely warm personality was a delight to have around the house, and he was very respectful. We would absolutely recommend him without question to any other potential hosts as we considered him to be the best workawayer we have ever had.

Has hecho muchos km desde su pais con su moto super potente para ayudarnos ! I worked for two and a half months as a waitress and I can really recommend this place. It’s great that there are other workawayers there, so you can go on trips together and make new friends. The owners, Manuela and Wolfgang, are very kind and helpful. For example, if you need a day off, you can simply ask them and they will always try to make it possible. It’s also a perfect place if you want to relax and save some money because you don’t need to spend much. You can often eat the leftovers from the restaurant, which is really nice. I would especially recommend trying the Käsespätzle, it’s delicious! You can also borrow a bike from Manuela and Wolfgang. They have two bikes, so you can even go on a bike tour with other workawayers. I would definitely come back anytime and if you enjoy nature, this place is definitely a great opportunity for you.

Michael spent 2 weeks volunteering with us. He was a great help in the garden and completed each task assigned to him willingly and thoroughly. He was always pleasant company and a good conversation ist. with excellent English and a broad range of interests. He took the opportunity to explore the surroinding countryside both by bike and public transport I would highly recommend him as a volunteer

We absolutely loved having Lisa stay with us for two weeks. She was a pleasure to have around — friendly, interesting, and a great communicator. Lisa is a conscientious, diligent, and methodical worker who approached every task with enthusiasm and independence. Nothing was ever a problem — she just got on with the jobs and needed very little supervision. She quickly became part of our family life, and we really got to know her. Lisa looked after our children for several days on her own and did an amazing job — juggling after-school activities and everything else with ease. The kids absolutely loved her and had a great time together. Lisa is warm, easy to talk to, and well-travelled, and we had some wonderful conversations around the dinner table. I’d highly recommend her to anyone and would welcome her back anytime. All the best with your travels, Lisa — we hope to see you again one day!

Maree is a wonderful person, and our experience with her was truly positive. The tasks she gave us were interesting and allowed us to learn a lot, while also having time to enjoy family life. The house is lovely — it would be perfect with a little less clutter, but the beds are comfortable and our room had a LOT of space and we spent a great month there with Maree. We learned about the worm farm, painting, cooking with basic ingredients, and of course, shared many stories and moments of learning together. Thank you so much, Maree, for hosting us and for all the knowledge and kindness you shared with us.

We run a small boutique hotel (8 rooms) in Catalunya and were looking for a couple to take care of the daily cleaning tasks. They did an excellent job and showed great flexibility from the very beginning. When they arrived, the apartment where they were supposed to stay still needed some cleaning and painting. They were very understanding about this inconvenience, never complained, and immediately offered to help paint and make the place cosy for themselves. Regarding their workaway role, they were responsible for all cleaning duties in the hotel — from washing sheets to cleaning the rooms (light cleaning for long-stay guests and deep cleaning after check-outs). They also took care of the restaurant area, ensuring everything was spotless before breakfast each morning. Johanna has a great love for flowers, and we were delighted to see fresh wild bouquets appear in the rooms and restaurant — a beautiful touch that our guests appreciated. Oliver and Johanna work very well together; they are truly complementary as a team. We were very satisfied with them, both professionally and personally. We would recommend them without hesitation.

Miguel is definitely one of the best volunteers we’ve ever had in Pecka. He was one of the few who stayed for the full three months, which gave us the chance to see him in many different situations and tasks. He helped with various jobs, but his biggest contribution was in the kitchen, where he proved to be incredibly talented. Besides assisting our main cook, he often prepared authentic Mexican dishes that everyone loved. He’s reliable, versatile, and easy-going – someone you can take both to a festival and a construction site. A sporty type, climber and runner, who enjoys swimming in cold spring water. He loves animals – and they love him back. Responsible, funny, humble, and very hardworking. Miguel became part of our small community, and we truly hope he’ll come back one day.

Hannah was an outstanding volunteer whose studies in ecology and upbeat attitude really boosted our project! With her nice character and constant smile, she brought energy and fit right in as great company for the team. She shared valuable advice on future improvements, especially smart tips for seeding and pollinator plants that we'll use for years. Hannah needed no hand holding, she jumped into every task and gave it her all with top notch results. A true gem! Thanks, Hannah, for your amazing contributions. We'll miss you!

I spent 10 days in August with Natia and Zura to help with some construction work and had an amazing time, so much so that I came back for a few days in September with Celeste! They are amazing hosts, we shared many great discussions and we got to learn a lot about Georgian culture. We felt at home and part of this loving family. Their project is very inspiring, we hope all the best for the future. Thank you so much Natia, Zura and all the adorable pets for all those lovely moments we shared with you ❤ We hope to see you soon ! Thomas and Celeste

Abbiamo ospitato Ilaria e Martina a settembre, nella nostra casa di Buthier. Non possiamo che ringraziarle di cuore. Due ragazze solari, genuine, sempre disponibili e piene di energia. Ci hanno aiutato tantissimo: hanno sistemato le scale del fienile, pulito a fondo la casa, dato l’impregnante ai travi e collaborato al progetto Tridimensionati. Sempre sorridenti e pronte ad adattarsi a ogni situazione. Grazie davvero per tutto quello che avete fatto e per aver contribuito a ridare vita alla casa dei miei nonni.

Colette stayed in the hostel three weeks. When she arraive there was no one in the hostel because hostel was closed for one month. It was really easy for me she understand everythings what is said. She help out with some extra task in the hostel too. Thanks for helping out here hope you will have nice time with your traveling.
