Elisa and Noc were our first Workaway Volunteers, and they gave us a wonderful experience. They helped me with my daughter learning activities and brought kindness and positive energy into our home. They were very easy going, friendly and respectful and it was very nice to share cultural experiences together. Thank you Elisa and Noc, for making our first volunteer experience such a lovely one. We wish you all the best on your journey ahead.

Samantha fitted in straight away and my dog Marshall thought so too. I admired her communication skills and it became obvious she was able to show initiative and common sense with a great work ethic. We had some great conversations about her previous travels and life in California. Very happy to recommend Samantha as a Workaway.

It was an absolute pleasure having Corrine stay. She was a great help around the farm, in the gardens, and with the animals. Her positive energy and good humour (I can see why she’s called Captain Cheerful) made her stay all the more enjoyable. Corrine fit right in from the start, and her company over endless cups of tea was a real highlight. She’s welcome back anytime.

It was a real honor to have this amazing group — Isma, Ines, and Juanjo , with us. They are truly respectful, hardworking, and always ready to help and make a positive impact. We spent wonderful days together, doing many activities and sharing great moments. They also helped build shelves for the classrooms to store books , all done with their own hands! It was an incredible job and a beautiful memory that will always remind us of them. Thank you so much, guys, for everything you did here. We wish you all the best in your studies and hope to see you again in the future. I highly recommend them to any other host , you will never regret having them for sure!

I stayed with Adrien, Mathilde, and little Capucine for around a week and a half and had the most amazing time. I was met with nothing but kindness and generosity, and I feel that in such a short time, I have learned so much. For the working portion, I helped build walls in their home and painted a terrace. After that I was free to explore the beautiful area and visited the beach, biked to a nearby village, and went hiking in the mountains! I had my own little bungalow all to myself, and every evening I ate the most delicious meals. Thank you so much for everything Adrien and Mathilde! I hope I can visit again someday!

We were so happy to have Jenevieve with us at our school for a whole month. She’s a cheerful young lady who always has a smile on her face. The kids loved spending time with her, and she was great at connecting with them in a fun and caring way. She was reliable, creative, and her artistic talent really added something special to our activities. Thank you for all your help and for being such a wonderful part of our school community — we’ll miss you and wish you all the best!

Amazing experience with both Natalie and Roman. They helped with our projects of setting up a veggie garden, fencing, general farm work and assisting around the house. They are both hard working and exceeded our expectations. We wish them well in their future travels and feel blessed they came to stay. Thank you to both of you.

It was truly amazing to have Sara and her boyfriend Andrea with us. Both of them are wonderful people, always ready to help and make a positive impact. We spent a week together that felt like a whole month because of how much they contributed and connected with everyone. They supported our school in many ways ,assisting teachers, helping to build a playground for the children, organizing fundraising activities, and even donating soccer equipment for our football program. We are deeply grateful for their time, energy, and kindness. It was an incredible week that we will always remember and cherish.

Jonathan was a absolute pleasure to host, fitted in seamlessly with the house hold, a great self starter and finished everything with excellent precision. He is quite a good home cook and very polite and courteous. We wish him well for his travels.

Carla stayed with us for just over a week and we would have happily had her extend her stay. In her time with us she assisted with garden preparation, verandah maintenance, painting, seed sowing, washing up....and we were treated to an authentic french beef burgundy. Carla was friendly, ready to share in any task that she was asked to do, or saw that needed doing. Self motivated, interested in the area, walking, birds and our lives. We wish Carla all the best in her future travels. Currently on route to an experience of a lifetime, working in an outback general store/ hotel....braving the temperatures and the unknown.

I had a fantastic first Workaway experience with Paul, Debby, and their son Ravi. I only stayed for a few days this time, but I’ll definitely be going back. During my stay, I helped restore the vegetable garden, which had become quite overgrown. Since there are many different types of trees on the property, I also learned which ones thrive in this climate and which don’t. The accommodation is beautiful and spacious, although I only used the bathroom since I have my camper van. The food was well taken care of, and on Sunday we even went on a little trip in the area. It was also great that my dog was welcome and could run around freely. A wonderful experience overall — highly recommended! 😃👍

Dear Aleena It was wonderful to get to know you. Despite linguistic obstacles on my part, I appreciated from the first contact until the end of your stay, how you met me with ease and contagious cheerfulness. This is how a direct, warm and open communication was created between us. With a lot of empathy and endless patience, you have actively supported me in my daily and challenging tasks. Through your winning and structured approach, we have mastered many jobs efficiently. I am happy to highlight how joyfully and unbiasedly you have responded to my „four-legged companions“ and how they have felt very comfortable in your authentic, attentive and sensitive presence. In a loving and trusting way, you could easily win her respect, which went so far that I could entrust her in your sole care and thereby create some freedom for me. Your delicious meals and baked goods remain unforgettable, which made me feel like a guest in a delicious exotic restaurant! THANK YOU for letting me be your first Host at WA!

We had a very peaceful stay at Tushar's farm for 10 days. The surroundings are so beautiful and Tushar took us to enjoy some Navratri celebrations in the village Things we loved: * The beautiful surroundings * Walks to the village with the dog * Staying in Tushar's self-designed eco buildings * The beds were comfortable * There was running water for showers * Very good WiFi * Meeting Tushar's family and eating his mum's homecooked food * Chatting with Tushar and absorbing his enthusiasm * Having the freedom to organise ourselves with regard to tasks on the farm A few things that we would have preferred: * More communication with regard to tasks and how they contribute to the vision for the farm * More sharing of Tushar's amazing knowledge regarding eco-building and permaculture (however, Tushar was ill during our stay so we appreciate he couldn't be as present as he might have liked to!) * More communication over daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning Tushar knows so much about the jungle and its animals, it was really a pleasure to spend time with him, hearing his new ideas and life story. You will also get to spend time with Tushar's son Rahi who is super energetic and a very bright kid. Thank you Tushar for letting us stay and all the best in the future

My two weeks with Nicki and Richard were absolutely incredible! I had so many new experiences that far exceeded my expectations. I was involved in every part of their everyday lives, which made the experience feel so genuine and special. I took part in weeding, tailing lambs, baking, trapping and gardening, to mention a few things! Additionally, I learned so much about New Zealand’s unique biodiversity — Nicki and Richard are such knowledgeable people. I also got to see all the hidden gems of Blythe Valley and it truly is one of the most beautiful areas I’ve ever visited. I was so impressed by all the amazing work Nicki and Richard do for their community, and it was a real pleasure to contribute in a small way and be part of their efforts. They made me feel completely at ease from day one with their warmth and kindness. It was such an invaluable experience for me — honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start my Workaway journey!

What a beautiful experience to be hosted with Mohit and his wonderful family. Because it was festival time, the school was closed, However, it gave us time to work on some other much needed work Mohits business plan- his vision for the future with different businesses and fund raising that will help support the school and women's empowerment programme. Losing his Father so young has motivated Mohit to have such vision for young children to have access to education. We are now part of their family and they ours. We will be back. I highly recommend other travellers to help Mohit build his dream.

Denise and her family welcomed me with open arms in there beautiful Yallingup home. We had so many laughs and even when the weather didn't want to play nice, we made the absolute most out of the beautiful region. I helped in the garden and mowed, whipper snipped, moved unused materials into the skip bin and general acerage maintenance. The work was rewarding and we all chipped in. The best part was how close the surf beaches were... A grade waves! Thank you again Denise for trusting me and giving me the best experience I have had in W.A. You are more than welcome to come stay with us on the Gold Coast. I recommend Denise and Peter for a great workaway experience :)

Monty is a great person and an excellent volunteer. It was a pleasure having him as part of our team; his willingness and charisma were valuable to the team and our guests. We definitely recommend him and hope to have him back in our small hostel soon.

Deb was an absolute delight to stay with. I could only stay for a weekend, but what a weekend! Deb was an amazing host, showing me the sights on the Saturday and then working together with me on Sunday. We shared a love of enormous hot drinks (tea for me) and long chats. Her 3 x dogs and 5 x cats were a delight and amazingly the house didn't feel crowded with 2 humans and 8 pets! We explored the beaches, finding wonderful rock formations, a community garden, a nature reserve and a saltmarsh before enjoying the op shop and a delightful local art store. Deb has a lovely home and was a delight to spend time with. I can highly recommend a visit to Deb at this beachside village to relax and connect.

I stayed with Suz for a really short time (3 days) but I had such a great time! Suz is very generous with her time and shares her passion for helping people improve their lives. I stayed in the lovely caravan Geraldine and worked with Suz to clear blackberries along a fence before leaning into my love of making fires to burn old piles of blackberry bushes that we moved using the tractor - such fun! She has cows and horses. I met her friends at the farm and at a local gathering. And we chatted heaps. Suz was my first Workaway and the start of a wonderful adventure for me. She is warm, generous, open, caring, fun, and honest. I couldn't have asked for a better first host. Thanks so much Suz. What a delight!
