Valeria is a reall nice and sweet person! We really had great time with here, it was a pleasure to have her around! ^^We hope to meet her again.

Our stay with Marta was absolutely wonderful!
We lived at her place for about a month, and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had through Workaway. For about ten days, Marta trusted us to take care of her two adorable dogs while she was away, it was such a lovely and peaceful time. The house is beautiful, with a charming garden and a very relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved spending time in the hammock and enjoying the outdoor shower. It felt like a little paradise! The location is perfect, very central for visiting Messina or Milazzo, and the train connections are great. The beach is only a five-minute walk away, and during our stay it was almost empty, which made it even more special. When Marta was home, we had such a great time together. She introduced us to many of her friends, cooked delicious meals, and we shared lots of fun and interesting conversations. She really made us feel welcome and part of her community. And of course the dogs! (don’t let us start to talk about them. We absolutely love them!) Passion and Mc are the sweetest, most well-behaved dogs you could ever meet. Passion is full of playful energy (and yes, she’ll ask you to play every few minutes!) and don’t forget to give her her stretches. While Mc is the king of cuddles and shows his love in a weird way. Spending time with them brought us so much joy every day. Especially training with them is absolutely fascinating, because they are so smart. But never forget to close the kitchen!!! We had plenty of free time to explore, relax, and enjoy Sicily. We’re really missing marta and the dogs so we’re already planning to come back soon :) Thank you, Marta, for everything!

Sarah was a fabulous addition to the house for the five weeks she stayed with me. She was very diligent in ensuring she completed all her tasks, extremely clean and tidy, and easy to live with in a shared space. Sarah was very enthusiastic with the dogs - taking them on additional walks and spending lots of time loving on them and playing with them. She also got out and about a lot to see the local area. Highly recommended!!!

KJ and Debs were some of the nicest and most welcoming people we have ever met. We loved our two week Workaway here and will especially miss their 8 lovely dogs. The location was great being close to some really nice beaches and small villages which they kindly lent us their car to visit on the days off and afternoons. The food that was prepared for lunches and dinners was always delicious and we loved all of the stories that KJ and Debs told from their very interesting lives!! The work was mainly painting and landscaping which was manageable and well communicated. Overall an amazing workaway experience! Highly recommend!!

Volunteering here was an amazing start to my trip! The atmosphere is super friendly and social! you get to meet so many cool people from all over the world. The managers are nice and supportive, and the work is really easy to understand thanks to the clear checklists. The parties are a lot of fun, but at the same time, it’s easy to relax and have some quiet time in the rooms if you need a break. Overall, it was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and welcoming place to volunteer in Bogotá!

What a magnificent way to finish our Workaway journey for the year. We stayed with Emma, Tony, Darragh and Cian for a month and from the moment we arrived the entire family made us feel very welcome into their beautiful home. Emma was incredibly accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed at anytime and more. We very much enjoyed the food ranging from a risotto to Tony’s delicious cooked ham. The work was incredibly fair and enjoyable. Emma was always asking if tasks were suitable and if we would prefer to work inside or outside. We both found the tasks calming and enjoyed them ranging from being outside planting veg to spring (autumn) cleaning in the house. The boys were also an absolute joy, in the early evenings we would have so much fun playing games such as hide and seek tag took us back to our school days, although now a bit more achey afterwards. We also did some creative projects with the kids, pizza making, pumpkin making, painting stones and playing with Lego. We’re sure Cian’s stall is going be a massive hit! We also played monopoly… Where Aaron used his master skills in strategy and negotiation to lose every individual game of monopoly and needed Darragh’s cunning skills to secure victory. We loved Lola’s energy and Bruno’s friendly nature, seeing the two of them interact always made us laugh. We cannot thank Emma enough how welcome she made us feel and will always treasure the time we spent in Clare with such wonderful people. We will stay in touch and thank you once again. Aaron & Lucy

It was a pleasure to host Ava! She is really helpfull and attentive. She is reliable and clean. I recommand her whith no doubt!

It’s hard to put into words how much this experience means to me. It is a place where I met one of the most incredible people I have ever known, shared the most beautiful and genuine human moments, and discovered so much about myself. One month turned into two, and it still feels like such a short time. This is so much more than a workaway or volunteering, it is a place that encourages you to be present, share your every part, be vulnerable, challenge your limitations, and just dive so deep within yourself that you will need months to truly process everything. I feel genuinely lucky to have found this place. If you feel ready to become part of a community, to open your heart to strangers who will feel like family in a blink of an eye, to be true to yourself, and accept every single person as they are - I encourage you to come. There are only a few places like this in the world, and if you ever get a chance to see it, don’t hesitate. It is thanks to the vision of Matteo and Walter, that many beautiful souls found a home. May more communities like this spread across the world, and then, perhaps, we would have a chance to thrive as a humanity. There hasn’t been a single day when I haven’t thought about this place. I will be forever grateful for every minute I spent there. This experience became such a crucial turning point in my life, and I will always carry it within me wherever I go.

Emine is the kindest host you could ask for. She and her girls were super welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. They cooked the most delicious meals and taught me all about Turkish traditions. The girls made bracelets for me and tried to teach me all the important turkish words. Emine even took me to meet her extended family, who were the nicest and most hospitable people. I learned so much about turkish culture and family life. Emine even took me to her school one day so I could experience school in Türkiye, which was a lot of fun for me and her students. I would highly recommend staying with Emine and her family in Adana! Dear Emine, I had a great time helping you to improve your English, you made my stay in Türkiye truly special. Thank you for everything! I really hope to come back one day!

Eva and João are very warm and hospitable. we enjoyed our time in the mangrove and got to manage our own little project which suited us well. it's location is great and the communal area is great for cooking your meal. all in all a great experience

Merecia was a great help, Intelligent flexible compatent and kind. she helped me with sewing repairs beutifully, and housekeeping. She was a wizard at helping with computer admin tasks and research and ordering on line. We were quickly at ease with each other in my small place I enjoyed her companionship - life sharings and musings. good listener and talker. My world is broader also as she is a diginomad so i learned from her - good places to work with my computer. and we shared discovering good places to eat and drink. Merecia is always welkom to come again.

Amanda is a truly special person: friendly, down-to-earth, and always ready to help, both in the vineyard and around the house. She delighted us with her cooking and, with her guitar, created unforgettable moments, bringing joy and light to my home. Beyond being very helpful and diligent, she was a wonderful presence and spending time with her was a real pleasure. Saying goodbye was hard and it would have been wonderful to have her here for longer.

Me quedé haciendo housesitting en casa de Callum y Marina durante aproximadamente un mes. Fueron unas semanas maravillosas, en plena naturaleza y tranquilidad. Tuve el placer de cuidar de Pluma y llenarla de mimos 💕 También pude hacer algo de jardinería y cuidar y disfrutar de esta casa tan especial. Desde el primer momento, Callum y Marina fueron súper amables y siempre estuvieron disponibles; la comunicación fue excelente. Los recomiendo muchísimo. ¡Barbate es un paraíso! 🌿☀️

I volunteered here in January 2025, and it was by far the highlight of my trip. First of all, the hospitality from Searey, wife Sreyran and children Lina and Mongkol is incredible. They are always kind and smiling, including us in family events, and making sure we are looked after. During my time, I was invited to birthday parties, weddings, funerals and buddhists ceremonies. You’ll be hanging out at their home during the day, kept company by Lina and Mongkol, eating delicious food cooked by Searey and Sreyran. And all of this gave me the most authentic cultural experience. The local community is also amazing. Family and friends of Searey will always be inviting you to hang out, play volleyball, eat, drink and sing karaoke. There is a mix of teaching that you can be involved with. They run a school at the local pagoda for 5-12 year-olds who are split into 2-3 classes (depending on the number of teachers available). These students are about A1-A2 level. Then there is the older 15-16 year-olds and above who have an evening class in the newly built classroom/cafe behind Searey’s home. What makes this class a bit more difficult is the range of abilities, from about A2-B2. The students themselves are kind and welcoming. They inspired and motivated me to work hard each day. I could see how much the opportunity of having good English speakers means to them, which is a privilege that many families cannot afford. Over the 10 weeks I spent here, I got to know my students very well. We shared many laughs, good memories, and I became thoroughly invested in their futures. I think there are definitely improvements that the project needs. Students do not follow a curriculum and there is no record kept of student progress or what they have been previously taught. You are responsible for planning and teaching the lessons. You have teaching aides in the A1-A2 classes but these are students of the conversation class and their English level is not much greater than the students, so communicating your instructions to the class can sometimes be challenging. This is no fault of Searey. He is running this project entirely by himself, after seeing the generational poverty that the local community suffers from - there is little funding for hiring full-time staff. So, this as a great opportunity to make a difference where it is really needed, in a community that will return your kindness 10x over.

I really enjoyed my stay with Miriam and Robin. They were generous and friendly hosts and I can highly recommend staying with them. Miriam's garden was marvellous to look at and work in in late September, and the conversations we had on all sorts of topics helped me better understand Irish history and culture. Both Miriam and Robin cooked delicious meals and made sure to always include a vegetarian option for me. In the afternoons and on the weekend I sometimes borrowed a bike and explored the countryside.

Anika was such a lovely addition to our team! She worked at the bar and in the garden and was always reliable, easy-going, and thoughtful in everything she did. 🌿 Her friendly nature and positive energy made her a pleasure to work with, and she quickly became part of the team. You could always count on her to notice what needed to be done and take initiative with a smile. We’re very grateful for her help and wish her all the best for her next adventures!

I really enjoyed my time at Lorraine's. immediately you could feel a deep sense of peace on the land. Lorraine is a host with a wealth of knowledge about herbs, local ecology, and the shamanic wisdom. She is easy going and happy to help you get back in tune with the cycle of life from working with nature to working with your heart. She has a deep love for animals and they are always out and about and very well behaved and it is obvious they are very loved! She also provides unique opportunities for the right people if you have skills you may be able to participate in a variety of events she hosts on the land. I didn't stay long enough to experience one of them but they all sounded amazing. Plus Carmel and Santa Cruz are nearby in case you want to get off the land and explore. Great centralized location.

Ana and Agustin stayed with us for about two and a half months, and it was such a great time having them here! They both integrated wonderfully into our team and brought a lot of positive energy and motivation to their work. Ana worked at the bar, and although communication was a bit challenging at the beginning, she improved incredibly fast. It’s not easy to learn all about the German wines and drinks we offer — and she mastered it in no time! She was always friendly, charming, and welcoming with the guests, which made a big difference. Agustin worked in the kitchen and supported us with his great skills and experience. He was a real team player — always reliable, positive, and fun to work with. Together with the rest of the kitchen crew, he helped create a great atmosphere and some really delicious results! We truly enjoyed the time we shared with both of them and are very thankful for their help and great spirit. We wish them all the best for their future travels and their journey together!
