We stayed with Linda and her two lovely daughters for two weeks! We helped Linda in the garage with the potatos, carrots and onions. We were able to learn a lot from her. We really enjoyed the work and spending time with her family. The dinners together were always one of the highlights of our day (besides sorting potatos of course!). The area is really beautiful for hiking, running etc. Linda was really open on showing us new places! She even went with us to Henningsvær, drove us to the lovely cafe in Laukvik and brought us to the beginning of the hike to Matmora. We can wholeheartly recommend Linda and her family to anyone, it was really fun staying with them. Thank you for everything, we hope we can visit you again, and maybe the weather will be better!:)

August was a delight to host. Always happy to do any of the daily tasks and particularly liked planting plants and digging holes. He's diligent with his tasks and has a great level of attention to detail. Easy to live with and welcome back anyday

Nanna and Magnus are just totally awesome. They are always smiling, happy to get stuck in, have a great sense of humour and have skilz.......!!! Every job they did, it was absolutley to he best of their ability. They are conscientious, diligent, hard working, thorough and even like some of the really messy jobs like garage and barn claering and organising. Nanna is the queen or ofganising and Magnus can turn his hand to any handyman job - both of them have made so many helpful changes and improvements to our farm it's been incredible. They are welcome back with open arms anytime!

I spent two lovely weeks with Hugh, the work was varied and never too difficult, he let me figure out things on my own which I really appreciated, I never felt like he is watching over my shoulder! I felt well taken care of, Hugh went out of his way to accommodate my special requests regarding food, many thanks for that! On day offs he made some great recommendations, let me borrow his bike and other times dropped me off at the nearby village to go on longer walks! Hugh has a great taste in music, I loved getting cozy in the living room by the fire, listening to the radio and chatting about music! Cheers!

Had a truly fantastic 2 weeks with Rachel and Maria on their impressive farmstead! It was only our second workaway but we were able to settle in super quickly. Rachel was great at communicating right from the get go when we had some train issues. The house is a classic farmhouse with everything you could need, but most of our time was spent outside in the beautiful garden. The work each day was completely reasonable, and we got totally sucked in to life at the garden. Tasks consisted of all sorts but lots of weeding, putting up thermal nets on beds, building new beds, harvesting and with the help of other lovely volunteers, we took down all the tomato plants! It was never too challenging or exhausting but left us feeling satisfied after a days hard work. Mealtimes were a highlight, filled with lively, rich and hilarious conversations over delicious food. And of course joined by Shizo the talking dog with many opinions to share. Rachel is a great cook and was readily able to cater to a vegan volunteer who stayed at the same time as us. Rachel was helpful in coordinating our days off, helping us get to and from the train. We spent time in Genova and Torino and highly recommend both cities. Can't say enough good things about this workaway experience, and missing it already. Thanks for everything Rachel and Maria!

Harry and Julie were amazing Workawayers! I’ve been hosting for several years now and I can honestly say this couple were exactly what I hoped for. Both were very sociable, able, willing, honest, intelligent and interested. They were always willing to help with whatever was needed, and did so with energy and enthusiasm, even when the work was physically demanding. Above all else we really liked Julie and Harry in a personal level, and we felt we made two new friends :). During the 12 day stay Harry and Julie helped with gardening work (including planting several hundred onions), caring for chickens, clearing brambles, using petrol powered Strimmer and electric hedge cutters. They also helped with indoor painting, staining wooden outbuildings, splitting wood and many other tasks. Both slept in the house and were very clean, tidy and respectful of all the house rules. I would have zero hesitation recommending this couple to any Workaway host looking for help. They’re awesome 🤩

Hello Felipe, Thank you for spending time with us in Sappl. We enjoyed the conversations with you and also your interest in Austria and the Austrian History. You did a good job helping us in the garden and with other tasks. We appreciated your kind of humor and we had a lot of good talks with you. It was very interesting for us to hear about your experiences about other countries you have been so far. Kind regards.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Cleo for a little over a month. Very outgoing, great communicator, took care of tasks with grace and detailed oriented. She helped with organizing, putting things in place, cleaning and dusting during kitchen remodel. Cleo also assisted with gardening-removed the weeds and watered the plants. Most importantly, she participated in out cultural event during a baby shower which we hosted. She clearly showed maturity, took the initiative with the decoration, cooking and welcoming and mingling with our guests. Cleo was an incredible Workaway!

Vincente is a super chill person (except when he drives jajaja ;) ). He's welcoming, giving great conditions to the workawayer and fun. I had the luck to join for his birthday party and it was amazing. I couldn't stay long because I had to go back to France but I wish I could have help him more. Don't hesitate to join the adventure, it's memories that will last :)

I can't recommend this experience enough! Volunteering back in july was easily one of my favorite workaway jobs. The responsibilities were extremely manageable and the staff was so kind and welcoming, they just want you to enjoy Cali. I had so much fun exploring the dance scene and experiencing Colombian culture. I spent six months traveling and Cali was my favorite destination, oh and this was by far the nicest hostel I stayed in (so beautiful and the best social vibes from volunteers to staff to guests, I loved it). Wishing the team best of luck and I hope to come back soon!

This hostel is located at mountain and you can enjoy a very nice and calm vibe of Himalaya. People are so nice. Food is amazing. There was not much tasks to do because of the low season. But I did some yoga session with guests, some content creation for social media and general tasks like helping in kitchen. Thank you Shantanu. I will never forget the time I had in your place.

We spend three weeks a Louisa and Stuart’s farm, and we absolutely enjoyed it! They are brilliant and are really experienced as hosts. They are warm, welcoming and love to share their home and land with people from all around the world. We quickly felt as part of a family together with them, their dogs and the other workawayers! A part from the daily routines of watering, task are very varied around the farm. If you have any special skills Louisa and Stuart might have just the tasks for you. Off-days are Sunday and Monday. Socially we shared almost every meal (apart from breakfast), and almost every night was filled with board games, music and laughter. The farm itself is located in the beautiful area of Gers, and on clear days (which were most even in October) you have a view of the Pyrénées from the garden. Amazing! There is an amazing garden with a lot of vegetables and herbs to care for and chickens as well. The place is very rural and quiet which is gorgeous for relaxing and stargazing, however it is also a bit difficult to get around if you don’t have a car. Stuart is very kind to drive you places, but also has a lot else to do, so you can’t count on it. We stayed in our van, so could easily get around to the nearby cities and sites. Either if you are an experienced or new workawayer, this is a wonderful place to stay and meet new people from all around the world. 🌍 Thanks a million for the wonderful time we spend at your place, Louise and Stuart! Regards Nanna and Magnus

Ann was an outstanding member of our team during the Summer English Camp. 🌟 She brought so much positive energy, creativity, and professionalism to our place that everyone — staff, students, and fellow Workawayers — adored her. 😊 She mainly took charge of cooking and kitchen management, showing exceptional planning and organizational skills. Meals were always well-prepared, ingredients perfectly managed, and even in busy times she handled everything calmly and efficiently. Beyond her work in the kitchen, Ann also helped with English lessons and activities for students. Her warm personality and strong communication skills made her very popular—students and staff alike truly enjoyed working with her. She constantly came up with creative ideas and delivered results that went beyond our expectations. Ann is one of those rare people who make every team better — kind, flexible, hardworking, and fun to be around. 🌿 We truly loved having her here and would welcome her back anytime. Highly recommended to any future host! 🙌💫

Where should I even start? The hospitality and the inclusivity towards me from Lukas and Martina made me feeling like part of the family. From the moment I arrived at the station - things felt natural. We were always on the same page, and Martina and Lukas are excellent hosts who took great care of me. Oaza Halenkovice is a magical place. Tucked away on the edge of the forest, the serenity and the calmness of the place is palpable and grows on you day by day. They have created a place of light and relaxation with all the creature comforts that make you feel right at home. Willy, their little boy is a ray of sunshine. I still miss the place and wish my time could've been longer. For other Workaways - here's a little list of the work I did: 1. Dug a channel along the uphill road for electricity connection to the new shalla. 2. Helped in construction by carrying wood beams and other stuff up the hill and helped as an assistant for other small stuff on the site 3. Carried firewood down the hill for the winter preparation. All in all, the work was quite physical on some days and I got a nice workout - it also felt quite fulfilling. I worked at my own pace and Lukas was always there to answer any questions. The construction is being done by friends and family and I never felt out of place. The accommodations are amazing, and Martina is a great cook. I've made friends for a lifetime, and I will surely return. Until then, I wish them the very best 😇
