Jeff and Rachelle were brilliant Workawayers, helping out at our guesthouse for six weeks from mid-summer to the middle of October. Their good humour, relaxed yet helpful attitude and love of a good beer and board game made them an absolute pleasure to host. No job was too big or too small for them to take on, and by the time they departed, it felt like saying goodbye to genuine family. Keep in touch, guys, there is always a place for you here in Montenegro!

Français : Nous avons passé 1 mois chez hostel et c'était une très bonne expérience. Toute l'équipe est sympathique et généreuse, les propriétaires Pierre et Constancia ont été très gentils et à l'écoute avec nous. Ma copine était à la réception pendant que j'étais avec Rodrigo à la rénovation. Nous avons travaillé 4 jours par semaine et durant environ 24h-25h. L'organisation est au top et nous avons chacun trouvé notre place. Ce fut un plaisir de travailler dans l'hostel. Le travail n'est pas très dur et il se fait dans la bonne ambiance. Nous avons également 50 000 pesos par semaine pour la nourriture ce qui est suffisant. L'hostel est superbe, chaleureux et on s'y sent comme à la maison. On a rencontré beaucoup de voyageurs avec qui on a partagé quelques repas. Puerto Varas est une belle ville. Les randos sont à proximités ! On recommande fortement ce volontariat, après plus d'une quinzaine à mon actif, je peux véritablement dire que celui-ci est parfait ! English : We spent a month at the Hostel and it was a wonderful experience. The entire team is friendly and generous, and the owners, Pierre and Constancia, were very kind and attentive to our needs. My girlfriend was at the reception while I was with Rodrigo on the renovation. We worked four days a week for about 24-25 hours. The organization is perfect and we each found our place. It was a pleasure working at the hostel. The work isn't very hard, and it's done in a good atmosphere. We also receive 50,000 pesos per week for food, which is sufficient. The hostel is superb, welcoming, and feels like home. We met many travelers with whom we shared a few meals. Puerto Varas is a beautiful town. Hiking is nearby! We highly recommend this volunteering experience. After more than fifteen volunteer I did, I can truly say that this one is perfect!

We had a lovely time with Sylvia, an inspiring woman who was very welcoming with us. She lives in a beautiful peacefull place, ideal to relax, take the Time to (re)connect with nature. We just passed two days but we would have loved to stay longer !! We helped her to prepare the house for the winter with the wood and a few more stuff. A wonderful experience !

We loved staying with Joris, Mischa and the kids! We learned so many different things, such as wine making, gardening and facts about different plants, while exploring and truly experiencing the Dutch lifestyle. In the meanwhile of this Workaway we were looking for a house to move to the Netherlands, and we were so so lucky to find these people who gave us the opportunity to stay with them and help them with their projects, while keeping an eye on our goal. There truly are no words to express how lovely this family is, so if you want to experience a nature lifestyle in the Netherlands, we reccomend choosing them!! Thanks again!!

It was a real pleasure to stay with Martina and Anthony, along with their two adorable dogs. The house is a little paradise, surrounded by plants, trees, and flowers. I stayed in a small guest house at the bottom of the garden, which provided me with comfort and independence. I did various tasks in the garden, such as planting tomatoes, harvesting limes to make lemonade, and painting an outdoor shelf. Anthony took the time to explain all the plants he grows and gave me tips on how to best care for them. I also got to share cooking experiences with the family. We prepared Nicaraguan and French dishes, such as the famous ratatouille and delicious tostones. Beyond work, Anthony and Martina offer a welcoming space where we can discuss various topics and our respective cultures. I warmly thank them for welcoming me and trusting me. I leave their home with only one desire: to come back.

These two saved the day! They ticked off all the boxes on my to do list and gave the dog a lot of love as well. Kind and conscientious, helpful in so many ways, great company, respectful and fun to be with. A great experience all around😋

I had the most memorable first workaway experience with Eli, Wim, Neils, Adan, and the rest of the family. Everyone was so easygoing and friendly, I felt at home straight away. Every day was different but all equally enjoyable. Some days we would be helping in the garden, some days preparing dinner, looking after Adan (and Neils ;)), or helping out with Eli's activity day. My stay was filled with family dinners, late nights laughing, good food, bike riding, foraging, cooking, spoon-making, and sweet treats. I feel like they went above and beyond to make our time there special. There were also other workawayers staying while I was there, which was really nice as I got to make a few new friends. I loved my stay so much that I was planning on returning before I had even left. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Carolina is a great person and a very responsible, proactive volunteer. She helped us a lot with housekeeping — cleaning rooms, common areas, and taking care of laundry — and also assisted in the kitchen. She always did everything on time, without counting hours, just being genuinely helpful and reliable. I really enjoyed her company and our talks after work. Hope to see and host her again one day, either as a volunteer or as a guest! 🌿

También nos ayudó a iniciar nuestra huerta, estuvimos de viaje y cuidó a nuestros perros y hogar como si fueran suyos. I had a wonderful time at André's. The place is magical - you can really see how many different people created something here, especially with the mosaiics. Even though I only stayed for one week, I still was able to learn a lot (about the simple life, french culture and spirituality). André has a lot of wisdom to share and I adore his mindset. I would have loved to stay longer and hope to come back!

Teresa is an extraordinarily kind and lovely soul and her place felt like home to me the moment arrived. I got to know her georgeous animals - her dogs are the cuddliest ones in this world - they always made my day.🤭 Teresa cooked delicicous meals but mostly provided all the ingredients so we (me and the other wonderful volunteer) were able to experiment in the kitchen and try out many vegan recipes. We always had a lot of fun together (Teresa showed us the festa in Vale da Pinta, brought us to Lisbon or recommended wonderful places to go hiking, swimming, etc.). Harvesting and cracking walnuts absolutely were a highlight as well🤣 I am really grateful for the wonderful time at Teresa's place, her caring and warm nature as well as being able to help and gain lots of memories and experiences!!! 🥰

Eleonor is a wonderful person and a great, responsible volunteer. She helped us a lot with housekeeping and in the kitchen — the meals she cooked for our team were absolutely delicious! She also sings beautifully and is a joy to talk with after work. Thank you, Eleonor, for all your help and good energy — you’re always welcome back! 🌿

I had very pleasant couple of weeks in this hostel. Berke and his father are very hospitable and responsive people. My private space in a female dorm was comfortable and cozy and I had a plenty of free time because the work was easy and minimal (very basic cleaning). The location is in front of a big bazaar, so you always have a cheap fresh local food to buy just across. I was lucky to taste several times a delicious turkish food skillfully made by Marco. Thank you so much for all!

I can highly recommend Patrick. He is a very calm and pleasant workawayer. He is always punctual and takes care to do his work conscientiously and with great commitment. Patrick integrated wonderfully into our family. We had nice conversations, enjoyed lovely trips, and still managed to respect each other's privacy. We wish him all the best on his travels and would be happy to host him again.

Dear Elia, thank you so much for choosing our place and for spending such a long time with us. It was truly wonderful to have you here. You are a responsible and reliable person, someone who simply gets things done and takes good care of the space around you. We really appreciated your work, your presence, and of course the delicious meals you prepared and shared with us and the other volunteers. On a personal level we also enjoyed our time together very much. You are curious, you ask many questions, and that is something we always value a lot. The conversations we had were a real pleasure. We are very happy that you had a good experience here, and we are sure that we will see each other again soon. We can’t wait to welcome you back, to show you how the project is evolving and to give you a big hug.

I was one week at the resort since it was low season. The family was hospitable, I received three meals a day which were very good and I had a nice room. Bounlisth was in Thakhek during my stay and we communicated through WhatsApp about what he wanted help with since the rest of the family has limited English. I helped out with the guests, social media, cleaning and weeding. Overall my workaway was calm and nice. Thank you for having me

Thank you Martine and Jean for welcoming me into your home, and especially to you Martine for helping me and making me feel welcome. The craftsmanship involved was perfect for me, as I enjoy working with wood and fixing things. I hope we see each other again.

We can say many things about our time at Jelena's Branch but one thing is for sure: we have a new Serbian family. Planning to stay for about a week or so, we ended up staying a month during summer and returned for a week or two in autumn. Jelena is generous and kind and we cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for us (we had some camper-related issues that she helped fix). Branch is a free and wild place, leaving room for volunteers to choose their own projects and help out with what they can. We can proudly say we've become the toilet couple.. Long live the octopus! There is no pressure nor fixed schedule. It's a place to enjoy a cold drink in summer sitting underneath the trees, and to get cosy next to the fire with a coffee in winter when the cafe is open. If you enjoy cleaning, painting, cooking, planning an event, or enhancing the quality of the campsite, time will fly by and any type of help is appreciated. Good memories only! Even though we'd never heard of Arandelovac before, it is now a place we know we'll always find our way back to. This is thanks to the whole team at Branch! Love you guys <3
