Malin & Kielan were with me for 5 days and were a lovely couple. They worked very hard in my house & garden. Inside it was mainly cleaning and getting the house ready for an Open Home , outside it was painting the fence , cutting the hedge, water blasting driveway and patio, weed-eating all garden edges, and mowing. They were very social and friendly, getting to know the neighbours and joining in social activities. Dinners were relaxed and always accompanied by excellent conversation. They were very diligent & committed to getting the work done, but also easy going and flexible. I highly recommend Malin and Kielan to future hosts - they are very nice to have to stay and have a great work ethic!

A beautiful place with amazing people! I had a truly wonderul experience here and made many good connections. If you are looking for somewhere to be able to have both quiet time in nature and the opportunity to socialize and do fun activities with people, this is it! Thanks for everything!

My friend and I had the best time there. Jim and Anu understand the deal perfectly: They served us plenty of delicious, homemade food and offered us each a private room with a comfortable bed. As long as you can hold up your end of the bargain, wake up early and get to work before the day gets hot and pace yourself in order to complete the tasks at hand reasonably well, everyone will be happy. Jim and Anu have been hosting for a long time and know what constitutes a respectable amount of work for workawayers. The garden is beautiful and pleasant to be in and I found that my hosts were respectful of our downtime. I don't recommend you stay in your room too much, however, because Jim and Anu are lovely people, genuine as they get, and well worth getting to know. Thanks again for everything and I hope to see you again during my time in Oz! Thierry

Estamos dejando una devolución par Fernanda algo tardía, pero no queremos dejar de hacerlo. Fernanda tomó el riesgo de venir en pleno invierno, época en la que no ofrecemos nuestra propuesta de forma abierta. A pesar de que estuvo pocos días, hizo muy lindas contribuciones a nuestro proyecto y pudimos compartir buenos momentos. Gracias Fernada por tu calidez y apertura, y por haberte arriesgado a venir en un tiempo que suele ser duro, y en el que es más dificil proponer tareas sencillas que puedan ser asumidas por voluntarios con poca experiencia. Te deseamos mucha suerte!

Ollie stayed a few days and we had good moments. He took care of the garden and it was useful. I have done a few mistakes in my demands but no worries. I hope that he can come back for works in the house.

Our experience with Camila and Martin was absolutely wonderful! They are two incredibly motivated and capable people, full of positivity, enthusiasm, and genuine good energy. From the very first day, they brought a great spirit into our home — always smiling, proactive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their contribution during their stay was concrete and valuable: they worked with dedication, attention, and care, whether it was inside the house or outdoors. What really stood out to us was their attitude — they approached every task with curiosity, respect, and the desire to learn and do things well. On a personal level, they are also two very kind and sensitive souls. Living with them was a pleasure; they were always respectful of our space and routines, and at the same time, they shared moments and conversations that made the experience even more special. We truly recommend Camila and Martin to any host — you will be lucky to welcome such a lovely couple! Their positive energy and genuine kindness make a real difference.

Hannah was a joy to have stay with us and is a really motivated person, kind person. She was a fantastic help. We had lots of fun playing games and hanging out too.

Stayed with the Adria & Marc for a little over a month. Their place is beautiful, surrounded by green, rivers, very tranquil vibes. I´ve worked mostly with Marc with some construction work gotta to learn a lot, have nice talks and good insights, but there´s also a very nice/big vegetable garden with loads to of things to do, or all around the buildings and rooms, and of course in the kitchen with Adria. She cooks deliciiious food, for guests and of course for the volunteers too. There's hikes around the place, its a nice place to be! Saludoos guys, all the best.

Madeleine was truly an amazing person to me. She hosted me and taught me a lot about the plants in her garden. She was very considerate, cooked delicious dishes, and was simply wonderful to me. She gave me great advice about Zurich like which chocolate to offer, for example. When I arrived, there was a welcome gift on my bed. The house is beautiful, with a stunning garden, truly heaven on earth. She also asked me which foods I liked so she could adapt, which I really appreciated. One of the kindest people in one of the most beautiful house. What more could you ask for?

Matt und Linda waren gut 2 Wochen bei uns. Es war eine intensive Zeit, weil unsere Kinder gerade Schulferien hatten und es etwas chaotisch war in unserem Familienalltag. Matt und Linda sind sehr aufgestellte, interessierte Menschen und es ist es gut gelungen, sich in unseren Alltag einzubringen. Sie haben uns sehr viel geholfen mit den anstehenden Umbau-Arbeiten und auch in der Küche und die Kinder haben es geliebt, mit ihnen zu spielen. Der Austausch war sehr spannend und es gab immer interessante Gesprächsthemen. Wir danken euch für den Einsatz und wünschen euch eine wunderschöne Reisezeit!

Capucine and Justine were very friendly and polite. They have been working in the garden for a week and they have done a very good job. We recommend them. Good luck!

Manuel stayed with us for 2 weeks. He is kind, funny and a hard worker! We really enjoyed having him part of the project and hope to see him again someday.

Noelie was truly a great help picking olives a few days in my farm. She's a very sweet girl, friendly, tidy, clean, kind, respectful, correct, hardworking, with so much positive energy and strength. She helped a lot around the house, cleaning up messes that others left behind. She has a big heart and loves company. You're always welcome in my home, and next time I hope to give you the True Massimo (since I still have a few things to do right now). My parrots love her too. If you have the chance to meet her and host her, you'll see she won't disappoint. This was my first experience with Workaway, and it was amazing! Carl is fantastic. He always helps you when you need him, he's thoughtful, he pays attention to detail, to what you like and what can be useful to you, he's very funny and he makes you feel at home. He's a person with many interests and many things to do, and I admire him so much for that! I learned new things thanks to him and I was able to revisit the wonderful forests of Sipoonkorpi National Park, just a few steps from his house. I hope to return there soon because I left a piece of my heart there. Highly recommended host!

I stayed with Margo and Pearse for two weeks, and it was a heartwarming experience. They are both incredibly kind and generous spirits, creating an atmosphere that feels open, alive, and full of care. I stayed in a warm caravan surrounded by fresh greens, orchards, berries, and rich, nourishing land. The main house feels alive and vibrant and it’s easy to adapt to the natural rhythm of the family. Your creativity is welcome here. Beauty is where you find it! I could access WiFi in and around the house, although from the caravan there is a great mobile reception too. I felt nourished by the simplicity and of daily life there, and grateful for the warmth, laughter, and generosity they share so naturally.

Nils was truly a great help picking olives a few days in my farm. My father was very pleased with him. He's a very friendly, tidy, kind, respectful, honest, hardworking guy, with lots of positive energy and strength. He has a big heart and is great with company. He always gives everyone good advice. Jelle and Luna are great: hard-working, friendly and super helpful. They painted railings, sewed cushion covers, organised my office, harvested turmeric and ginger and made turmeric latte paste and left my home and my garden far cleaner and tidier than when they arrived. They would be an asset to any workaway host.

I really enjoyed hosting Lisa , she was very easy to get along with and a hard worker who could use her initiative. She was lovely with my animals too. Would highly recommended her to any potential hosts

What a lovely and heartwarming place. I enjoyed every minute I stayed here. Every day what's a new challenge waiting around the corner. Lovely volunteers and cute dogs. I will always remember this unique place!

We had such a great time with Stine and Frederik! They stayed the whole month of August enriching the life at the farm with their enormous positive energy, multiple skills, sense of humour and delicious, creative cooking. They were ready to take on whatever kinds of tasks, and that is what they also ended up doing in an always devoted manner. Stine would eg. consult her mother, who is a nurse, in caring for the little lamb’s wounded hoof. A long-time dream come true was having Stine to show us how to process the sheep wool. In four weeks time she walked us through the whole process, resulting to a knitted slipover at the end. She even helped our daughter to find and get a good spinning wheel in the internet marketplace, so the skills are now being passed on. As to Frederik, he is travelling not only with Stine but always with his sour dough root. He showed us the art of baking delicious bread out of it – something which was passed on, too, along with a piece of root, to become an everyday activity for our daughter as well. However, it would not be fair to talk about Stine’s and Frederik's stay without praising their valuable input in organizing our big birthday party at every step from the start to end as part of the team. We were so grateful to have their creativity, flexibility, own initiative, quick wit and diligence at our disposal during this sometimes chaotic but fun period! Their hilarious performance of Danish cooks / butler and maid in the party was the cherry at the cake. There is not enough place here to list and thank for all what they did. We can only wish them welcome back another time – and in the meanwhile, advice any other workaway host not to hesitate if they show interest in your place!
