Martin and Cami stayed and worked with us at our hotel for a bit more than two years, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better team. They are both incredibly kind, positive, and reliable people who brought a wonderful energy to our place every day. They started helping in housekeeping, where their work was always thorough, organized, and done with great care. Over time, they also took over our social media management, and they did an outstanding job! Their creativity and talent in photography and videography completely elevated our online presence. The content they created for us was professional, authentic, and beautifully captured the spirit of our hotel. Beyond their skills, Martin and Cami were always in a good mood, proactive, and easy to communicate with. Our guests and team members loved them, and they truly became part of the family. We can’t recommend them enough, any host or employer would be lucky to have them!

We, Daniel and Edith, two retired adventurers from Switzerland, spent almost five weeks here in August and September 2025, a magical place on the edge of the Namib Desert. Our hosts, Anna and Björn, are wonderful, generous people who carefully introduced us to our tasks. On weekends, our main job was receiving guests and welcoming them, giving them an overview of the place and checking them out. We also did other daily tasks that we enjoyed very much: cooking, baking, painting, sewing. At lunchtime, we enjoyed chatting with our hosts, and we learned a lot about the country. We also developed a friendly dialogue with the employees. We had a lot of free time, which we used for reading, walking in nature, and taking photos. The sunsets are amazing! We are extremely grateful for the enriching time we could spend here. Our stay there remains unforgettable; we still feel very connected to all the people and hope to see them again. We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking tranquility and warm company.

Our matching with Stephen has been a happy combination of mutual interests at a specific time in our lives, when support for our kids and household was essential. Stephen was able to immediately win the kids over with his laughter and good humor first and conquer the whole family then with his great cooking! He is a good listener, professional, educated, flexible, and passionate about what he does - positive and reliable. The kids really appreciated him and were therefore able to significantly improve their English thanks to his guidance. Always welcome back! We wish him all the best and definitely recommend him to future hosts.

I have no words to describe my experience, I truly found a new home in Istanbul. Nur and I both had exams, and like two sisters, we supported each other every step of the way. Most days, we spent around five hours together practicing speaking and interview skills in two sessions, and the rest of the time I could study or go out with them. The family was incredibly hospitable. we always shared meals, and they couldn’t have treated me with more respect and kindness. The house is in a lovely, peaceful area with a beautiful balcony where I spent most mornings sipping tea. Nur is so kind, respectful, and fun to be with. I had my own private room and shared a bathroom with her. The house was always clean, and I enjoyed helping her with cleaning and preparing breakfast. We built a friendship for life, and I will always cherish the memories we made together. I wish her the best❤️

Linlin and her new friend Yanting are happily discovered my Mongolian Ger home lifestyle and life with grass-fed cows in 26-28th Oct., 2025. She is experienced traveler to inspire locals by her happy join to local life and making short videos.

I spent nearly 2 weeks with this lovely family in their beautiful house and they made me feel like one of the family since the first day Was an amazing experience I've learnt a lot from them about Nepali culture and living in the village surrounded from the nature and far from the city was very peacefully The food was amazing and fresh made from their garden It was lovely helping Ama with cutting grass for buffalos and playing with their two lovely kids I still miss all of them and wishing all the best for their future hoping to meet them again ❤️

I really enjoyed to be a teacher at the school. Sokear is a really good person and host. I did not teach at the main school, but at the second school in Anlong Samna, where I stayed with teacher Chamrong. I really loved the students and all the experience. I taught English as expected, but teacher Chamrong even helped me to organise a Mathematics class for a few interested students. On the weekends I travelled a little around, with Sokear or his support, and everything was so interesting. I'm definitely coming back for another visit whenever I come back to Cambodia. Thank you all for everything. See you next time..

My stay with Fe was short but really lovely. At first, I felt a little overwhelmed, but once you get to know her and understand her ways, everything flows smoothly. The house is very clean and comfortable, and the work is easy and enjoyable. One of my favorite parts was cataloguing some vinyl records she plans to sell — it was fun and interesting! On my last day, we even went for a walk around the neighborhood; she took me to a beautiful spot I would have never found on my own, and we shared some really nice conversations. I’m sure if I had stayed longer, there would have been even more to talk about and share. Overall, there’s a good balance between helping around and having time to explore the city, and Fe sets clear expectations about the tasks. I recommend her!

It was truly an amazing experience to host Anya, her boyfriend, and Piee at our project in Arusha. From the moment they arrived, they showed kindness, respect, and a strong willingness to help wherever they could. Their positive energy and dedication made a lasting impression on everyone at the project. During their stay, we had the pleasure of spending several wonderful days together, sharing meaningful conversations and working side by side. They contributed greatly at the office, especially in organizing fundraising initiatives to support our school projects , their creativity and commitment were inspiring. Beyond their hard work, they were always cheerful, respectful, and eager to learn about our community and culture. Their presence brought so much warmth and motivation to our team. We deeply appreciate their efforts, generosity, and the time they dedicated to making a difference. It was truly a joy to connect with them, and we hope to see them again in the future. They will always remain part of our extended family here in Tanzania. I truly recommend them to any future host ,they are reliable, compassionate, and bring a wonderful spirit of collaboration and positivity wherever they go.

Asuka is a great quest and easy going person - fun to be with and easy get know each other. She is also very deligent and ready to help at any moment, no need to ask before she is already helping, which I very much apperciated. Also she is brave girl and ready for new adventures - she even stayed one night alone in finnish nature hut. Also I learn a lot from her , japanese language, culture and mind set. Arigato! Her Birthday celebration day with my family and our 2 Chinese friends in my Ger home happened in 27th Oct.2025, because she made best communication with us by this great workaway system. Yes, we made our more happy, healthy and wealthy day by this hosting 770th experience. Johanna, we absolutely loved having you with us on the farm! From the very first day, you brought such a kind and positive energy. It was a real pleasure sharing these two weeks together. You were always enthusiastic, curious, and up for every task, whether it was with the horses, painting, or mowing the lawn (even the tricky bits 😄). We had so many great conversations and laughs ! Isabella was such a joy to have on the farm! She brought great energy! Her experience with horses really showed: calm, confident and so kind with them. Always ready to help with anything, whether it was in the stables, the garden, or around the house. We had so many lovely moments together ! Eleanor stayed with us for about four weeks and helped with the planned daily tasks. During her stay, I had just started a new home office job with a new employer and was balancing hosting duties along with family responsibilities, including caring for an elderly parent in hospital abroad, which occasionally made things quite hectic. We sincerely appreciated her help and the positive contribution she brought to our household during those busy moments — her efforts truly helped keep things running smoothly. My retired husband also enjoyed showing her the local villages and surroundings, which we hope she found enjoyable. While our daily life can be quite different from a typical gap year pace, we are grateful for her support and wish her all the best in her future travels and planned gap year adventures overseas.

We’re so grateful for Thomas’s time on the farm! We think back on it with such fond memories! Nothing was ever too much for him. He’s a real all-rounder: handy on the farm, great with the horses and even in the kitchen! Thomas brought such a great energy. He was always up for a chat, good laughs and interesting conversations with everyone (young and old 😉). We already miss his good humour around the place! Don’t hesitate a second to host him. Almaz is a very nice person, easy going, with good communication skills and a good will. Although she had to leave on a short notice and earlier than we agreed, she did her best to make it as smooth as possible and while she was at our place she really helped us a lot with the things we had on the (never ending) to-do list 👍🏼 We would recommend her to anyone ☀️

Zilli was a lovely guest to host. She was kind, respectful, and always willing to help with tasks around the house. We’re very thankful for all the help she gave during her stay. My daughter really enjoyed spending time with her, and we’d love to see her again when she visits Christchurch. Wishing her all the best in her travels ahead!
