I stayed in Marta's home for 10 days and it was wonderful and memorable experience. Marta is very kind, open and friendly. She treats workawayers with care and respect. She has great cooking skills and i was lucky to try some delicious meals. She also brought me and other workawayer girls she had at the same time to the beautiful places in the area and to try sicilian food. The house is beautiful and located in very nice area only few minutes walk from the beach and has a nice outside area. Marta gave clear instructions what should be done and how to treat doggos. I enjoyed walks with the doggos and fell in love with them soo much 💗 I am very grateful for the wonderful stay in Rometta Marea 🙏 🫶 Would be happy to come back one day.

Andrea and Eduardo are very calm, nice and active people. Me, my husband and the kids love them. They could always stay with us again. We recommend them.

Maurizio Im Oktober 2023 kam Maurizio über Workaway. Und seit dieser Zeit ist er da und ist ein fester Bestandteil des kleinen, familiären Teams geworden. Alle Gäste schätzen ihn und seine freundliche, lustige, saubere, hilfsbereite, pünktliche aber auch diskrete Art sehr. Die Katze Mini liebt ihn sogar. Seine Aufgaben sind die Reinigung der Gästehäuser und die Hilfe in der Waschküche, die Reinigung der Terrassenanlage, er hilft in der Küche und im Service. Die Maurizio Paella und seine Focaccia sind legendär. In unserer Abwesenheit empfängt er die Gäste und führt die Schlüsselübergabe durch. Er beauftragt eigenständig, nach Absprache, Handwerker oder bietet seine Hilfe Gästen an. Auch kleine Gartenarbeiten und Malerarbeiten führt er exakt aus. Es hat, durch seine guten Ideen, schon einige positive Veränderungen gegeben. Er ist uns wirklich eine grosse Hilfe und unterstützt uns, wo immer er kann. Wir sind viel miteinander im Gespräch, was immer gut, konstruktiv und wichtig ist, für ein gutes Arbeiten miteinander. Wir wünschen uns sehr, ihn noch lange in unserem Team zu haben. La mia settimana con Josephine è stata un successone! ha portato a casa una grande energia positività. Il mio giardino sembra una giungla, il suo aiuto è stato preziosissimo e molto apprezzato. Ma non è che abbiamo solo lavorato, eh! Tra una potatura e l'altra, ci siamo riempite la pancia con delle ottime cene. La sua capacità di integrarsi è stata notevole, si è sentita subito a suo agio. Bonus: abbiamo fatto ottima pratica con la lingua inglese, rendendo le conversazioni un mix esilarante tra italiano e correzioni grammaticali. Insomma, ospite spettacolare, alla mano, disponibile e con una gran voglia di mettersi in gioco. Super consigliata! Grazie di tutto, Josephine!

Victor and Charlotte were an absolute delight. From the moment they arrived we loved their enthusiasm and willingness to help out. Victor helped us complete a sanding project that had been on the backburner for some time. He was always giving 100%. Charlottle is an incredible chef and created some unbelievably tasty meals for all of us. She is very talented, and we were very happy to sample her culinary delights after a hard day's work. We loved having them stay with us and would welcome them back in a heartbeat. A lovely couple whose positive energy will take them exactly where they want to go.

Our stay here was an amazing experience that we’ll never forget. We spent three weeks here in March 2025, and although this review comes a little late, the memories are still fresh in our minds. Eyon, Yanong, and the whole family welcomed us with incredible warmth and made us feel at home from day one. The food was absolutely delicious, every meal prepared with love and dedication by the super talented and hard-working Eyon. The work was always interesting, diverse, and perfectly aligned with our interests: from gardening and taking care of the green areas, to preparing online documents and brainstorming ideas for new projects and improvements around the place. It is a truly special place, peaceful, surrounded by lush nature, and filled with positive energy. It’s a place where you can slow down, learn, and reconnect with what really matters. We left here with full hearts, new friends, and deep gratitude for such a beautiful experience. Thank you, Eyon and family, for making us feel part of your world.

paola and titi are unique. i feel sorry for everyone who does not know anymore what a real original is. this two humans are the opposite of "copy and paste". in fact they are a living art work. both individually and in their togetherness. i never ate better (and i m saying this coming from a extraordinary cook _ my mum_!) they work a lot and very efficient. they spread peace, joy and humor. everything they do is with focus and comittment. my believe in the good of humanity is confirmed! thank you both so much for all the blessings you did to my treasure home.

An unforgettable experience staying with Ngao, hearing his stories, learning about Kenya and the world, visiting local spots…I’m so grateful to have met such a positive and generous person during my first trip to Kenya! Ngao and Lennox are kind hosts and went out of their way to make me and my friend feel welcomed and oriented to the city. They are genuine people with love for cultures. If you want a guide for anywhere—Ngao’s your guy. Extremely knowledgeable and well-connected to the tourism side of Kenya and honestly anywhere else in the world. I really appreciate the values of hospitality I’ve seen and learned from Ngao and Lennox. I’m blessed to have had this opportunity to stay with them.

Mascia and her family were wonderful hosts! We learned a lot about northern Italian culture and history. We even learned a few recipes to take home! The work was not too hard. The farm is a beautiful place to work. Very grateful for this experience!

My stay with Brian and Mandy was honestly one of the most special experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel completely at home - so kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. The work was relaxed, fun, and full of good energy. Brian always took the time to explain things, share his knowledge, and make every task enjoyable. We had lots of laughs, great talks, and I learned heaps, even if my hammering only got to 60% accuracy. Mandy’s cooking was absolutely amazing, every meal felt like a treat and both of them showed so much interest in me and my journey. They shared stories, tips, and beautiful videos of New Zealand that made me even more excited to explore the country. But what really made this stay so unforgettable was just them - their kindness, humor, and warmth. They truly care about the people who stay with them, and it shows in everything they do. I left with a full heart and so many wonderful memories. I can’t thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone. If you’re lucky enough to stay with Brian and Mandy, cherish every moment - it’s a very special place with two very special people.

Kayla was with us for about six weeks and it was an absolute pleasure to have her as part of our family. She was kind, patient and very playful with my son, very helpful with the household duties, and considerate and respectful as a guest. As welm as doing chikdcare, cleaning.and some cooking, she also kindly made some sewing repairs to some cushions. Her warm and positive nature make her a delight to be around, and we would gladly welcome her back if she ever wants to return to Mallorca.

We thoroughly enjoyed having Liva here with us. She joined in with every activity with enthusiasm and a smile. She got on really well with our other workawayer even going on weekend outings together into Granada and the white villages.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms and quickly felt part of the community, we felt the powerful energy of the volcano and the deep harmony that surrounds this place. The land, the people and the projects all radiate kindness, connection, and love for nature. The work was varied and meaningful — from gardening and composting to helping with bioconstruction — and we learned so much about sustainable living and collaboration. We would definitely recommend it if you’re thinking about doing this Workaway! Everything is beautifully organized and full of life, and we shared many fun moments with the residents and other volunteers. This place truly stays in your heart! Gracias a toda la banda! 💚

Alirio spent almost a month with the school. He is very adaptive to a new situation and environment. He is a great volunteer, honest and friendly. He helped students learn not only English but more, by playing different games before and after class more often. He paid high attention and responsible to the classes with smooth collaboration with other leachers. During free time at the weekend, we traveled around and shared meals all together. The school wish him the best trips and hope to see him again...

The time with Claire and Michiel was incredible. They are both such wonderful and warm people, you immediately feel at home. It was my first Workaway experience and my first step on my three-month trip, and it encouraged me so much that I knew I had made the right decision to travel. The jobs are always divided up very considerately and it’s great fun to work outside your comfort zone for a change. I’d go back right away if I could, highly recommended!

I had a wonderful two-week stay with Maud in Celleneuve! The experience was dynamic, diverse, and full of learning. We worked side by side on almost every task, which made the days enjoyable, collaborative, and full of good energy. Tasks included cleaning (the house is under renovation), basic plumbing, removing wooden panels from the ceiling, cutting beams and wooden pillars, repairing small appliances (like the vacuum cleaner and grinder), and even doing a full electrical survey of the house. The work was never physically hard — just interesting and varied. Maud is an inspiring person: deeply involved in volunteer and social projects, creative, and always curious. She knows a lot about practical work and is always happy to share her knowledge. She’s patient, flexible, and it’s easy to find a natural rhythm with her. She also has a wonderful circle of friends and acquaintances, and she kindly introduced me to some of them — which allowed me to meet great people like Momo and feel even more connected during my stay. She gives great tips for discovering Montpellier and ensures you have enough free time to enjoy it. She was very patient with my French, and we practiced together regularly, which I really appreciated. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, with a small local market on Wednesdays, an outdoor gym a few steps away, and a cozy local cinema. It’s well connected to the city center by tram or bike (around 10 minutes). Thank you so much, Maud and Moumouna, for your warmth and hospitality. I truly enjoyed my stay and hope our paths cross again someday!

Working at the hostel was an amazing experience which allowed me to learn more about working in hostels, and the amazing people that work in them! My manager, Rita, is not only extremely chill and fun, but so helpful in terms of helping me out in the first few days! Edmond too is great and so nice and helpful! I will definitely be returning to Prizren, as I don't think I will get a better Workaway hostel experience than this hostel :))
