Inhhe is a young man from the United States who spent a month with us. During his stay, he showed interest in participating in the school’s activities and in sharing his culture with the students. He was respectful and kind to everyone, and made an effort to create a pleasant atmosphere in his classes. The students enjoyed interacting with a native English speaker and practicing the language in a more natural and friendly way. We appreciate the time he spent with us and the contribution he made to our educational community during his stay. We wish him much success in his future projects and everything that lies ahead.

I spent two weeks at Jasmina and Nicolo’s place, and I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot about animals, especially pigs and about gardening with Jas. We also had many interesting conversations while enjoying Jasmina’s delicious cooking. Many thanks as well to Simone for his help with painting and for all the great conversations we shared. I hope to see you again in Macedonia! To sum up, it was a really great experience, I highly recommend it. Jas, the animals, and all the good moments we shared already miss me!

Katarina and her friend Lucia were a great help to our family. They were super interested in our local area and took great care of Nia while were were on holiday. They were very easy to have around and great company when we were around and our two kids warmed to them straight away. Anyone who is looking for a Workawayer who is keen to help out with anything should consider Katarina. Certainly, Nia was lost for a few days when they left. Thanks Katarina and Lucia

Connor is a wonderful guy, full of joy and authenticity. Together with Kairo, they formed an incredible team from whom we all learned a lot. Both stood out for being very respectful, responsible, and enthusiastic — always willing to help and share their positive energy in every situation. Their classes were dynamic, fun, and highly effective; they managed to keep students engaged and motivated to learn more every day. There wasn’t a single day when their company wasn’t enjoyed, as they always brought kindness, good humor, and a great attitude wherever they went. Their help was truly valuable, both inside and outside the classroom. They integrated perfectly with the other volunteers and demonstrated excellent teamwork. The students admired them and always looked forward to their classes with excitement. We are very grateful for the time they spent with us and for everything they contributed to our school. Without a doubt, they left a very positive mark and will always be remembered with affection.

I can’t say enough good things about my time in Dunvegan! Jeanette is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. I felt so welcomed into her home and family. Jeanette cooked for me, took me around the North end of Isle of Skye, introduced me to people so I had connections while she was away. She even left the freezer well stocked with the most amazing home cooked food (that I’m still thinking about). Jeanette’s house is lovely, and even though I didn’t have a car, the location was great for exploring locally. There’s also a bus stop across the road which is great. Dougal is such a sweet boy, he just wants to be around for everything. From sitting in the kitchen listening to our long conversations, to looking out the window at all the sheep with breakfast, or cuddling on the couch in the evening reading. Of course he was always happy to go for a walk, even in the rain. To Jeanette, Katie, Willie and Olek and of course Dougal thanks so much for the most amazing amazing time in Dunvegan.

It was a GREAT experience with Andrea and Jean Baptiste !!! Very nice people with a servant heart and healthy bounderies. Great work ethic, reliable. We enjoyed sharing life with them even if it was for a short time. Very recommanded !

Connie is a beautiful girl who accompanied us for a month, and from the very first moment, she won everyone's affection. Her students loved her because she always gave her best to ensure they learned, understood, and felt comfortable in class. Her patience, dedication, and enthusiasm made each session enjoyable, dynamic, and full of learning. In addition to her excellent work as a teacher, Connie stood out for being a cheerful, responsible, and very committed person. She always showed a willingness to collaborate, participate in group activities, and maintain good relationships with the other volunteers. Her positive energy and genuineness will make her a wonderful memory for our school. We feel very fortunate to have had her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Without a doubt, she will always be welcome here.

Two and a half years — five whole seasons — we’ve worked in this beautiful hotel. But when we say beautiful, we’re not talking about the building itself, but about the people who make up the team (or rather, the many teams!) we’ve shared time with. Over these years, we’ve met so many amazing people who came and went, and every encounter was a new opportunity to learn and grow 🌱💫. Two and a half years of personal, financial, and spiritual growth — an unforgettable experience that allowed us to discover how incredible the Dolomites truly are 🏔️✨. All of this was possible thanks to the opportunities we were given, and for that, we’ll always be grateful 🙏❤️. As I always do — and will keep doing — I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience life in a small mountain village, surrounded by wonderful people and breathtaking nature 🌄🤍.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Felicitas is an absolute treasure. She went above and beyond in every way, bringing not only her incredible work ethic but also her beautiful approach to life. She kept everyone here grounded in positivity, and her outlook was truly inspiring. Really appreciated the deep conversations around the table and the belly laughter that had us in tears. She fit right in like family from day one. With the animals, she was exceptionally attentive—always ready to give extra love and care when needed, and with the day-to-day tasks, she made sure everything was taken care of without ever needing to be asked twice. I could fully trust her with anything. Her kind spirit shines through in everything she does. Any host would be beyond lucky to have her working on their project and sharing their home. We miss her already and are so grateful for the time we had together. Hope to see you again. 🙃

Clara & Nathan Esta joven pareja fue realmente admirable durante su estancia con nosotros. Siempre dispuestos a ayudar, mostraron un compromiso constante y una gran actitud de colaboración en todo momento. Trabajaban en equipo de manera natural, complementándose a la perfección y aportando lo mejor de cada uno en cada actividad. Compartían con el grupo con alegría, respeto y empatía, lo que creó un ambiente muy bonito y unido tanto entre los voluntarios como con los estudiantes. Estos últimos estaban siempre encantados de recibir sus clases, ya que ambos lograban que el aprendizaje fuera divertido, práctico y motivador. Su entusiasmo, responsabilidad y dedicación se notaron desde el primer día. No solo dejaron una excelente impresión como profesores, sino también como personas: amables, comprometidos y con un genuino interés por contribuir positivamente. Sin duda, su paso por nuestra escuela fue muy valioso. Los recordaremos con mucho cariño y agradecimiento, y esperamos tener la oportunidad de volver a compartir con ellos en el futuro.

Cees is a young man about whom we can only say good things. He is respectful, responsible, cheerful, and deeply committed — both to his Spanish classes and to his work as an English teacher, where he stood out as an excellent instructor. He always showed great enthusiasm for learning and teaching, making his classes dynamic, engaging, and full of positive energy. He has very good relationships with the other volunteers and demonstrates a strong ability to work as part of a team. He is cooperative, kind, and always willing to help whenever needed. His positive attitude and cheerful personality made it very easy to live and work with him. His time at our school left a very positive mark, and we are truly glad to have had someone so dedicated, generous, and committed with us. Without a doubt, we recommend him with complete confidence and appreciation.

Emily During the month she was with us, this girl stood out for being a very calm, responsible, cheerful, and authentic person. Her personality created a very pleasant atmosphere both with the students and with the team of volunteers. In her classes, she showed dedication and commitment, adapting with patience and creativity to the needs of each group. She always maintained a positive, collaborative, and respectful attitude, becoming an excellent team member. Her time at our school was very valuable, and we are truly glad to have shared this experience with someone so genuine and dedicated.

Niels was an easy guest to have join us. Our schedules were a little chaotic during his visit and we were unable to be on site with him for most of his stay. Despite this he showed an interest to help out while we were away and accomplished a lot of tasks that helped us process. We would happily recommend Niels as a kind, helpful and very likeable guy.

Daniela ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Sempre gentile e premurosa. La sua famiglia e i suoi amici sono persone fantastiche. Il lavoro richiesto era davvero equo e non pesante. È stato divertente sistemare casa con lei, ci ha lasciato fare le cose in autonomia e con fiducia. Ha storie da raccontare davvero interessanti e divertenti. Matteo e Martina (figli di Daniela) sono persone divertenti e super accoglienti. Appena arrivati hanno preparato una buona cena per noi. Daniela vi stupirà sempre con qualche ottima ricetta. Jhonny 🐶 é un giocherellone, è bellissimo essere accolti al mattino dalla sua coda scodinzolante. È l'esperienza migliore che potessimo immaginare. Isaiah made a very positive impact during his stay. The most basic students made significant progress thanks to the fact that their classes were conducted entirely in English, which helped them gain confidence, improve their pronunciation, and become accustomed to listening and thinking in the language. Despite the short time, he proved to be a very committed teacher, with a great ability to adapt to each student's level and make learning dynamic and fun. He also showed an excellent willingness to collaborate, maintained good relationships with the other volunteers, and worked very well as a team player. It was certainly a short but very valuable experience, and we are very happy to have had him at our school.

Darcy is a charming, kind, and very helpful young man who easily becomes a member of your family. In addition to being an excellent host, he is also an exceptional teacher — dedicated, patient, and truly passionate about his work. He always shows a positive attitude, is willing to help at all times, and adapts easily to any situation. During his time with us, he demonstrated great commitment and responsibility in every task he carried out. He has very good relationships with other volunteers, works well in a team, and always creates an atmosphere of harmony and collaboration. It has been a real pleasure to have him with us, and we sincerely hope that his stay here has been as enriching and special for him as it was for us. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Darcy with total confidence; he is someone who leaves a mark with his warmth, professionalism, and spirit of service.

Volunteering here was my first ever workaway experience. And i definitly won't forget these amazing two weeks. Even though the sheeps weren't milked and the olives weren't ripe yet, there was still plenty if work to do. The days were very structured. Every morning started with a cup of tea and caring for the sheeps and chickens. After breakfast we worked in the vegetable garden, did some trimming, cutting back branches, organised the toolsroom or worked on other projects. During the afternoons and the weekends you were free to do what you like. I discovered the area by bike, went to the coastside and swam in the lake. The family is very welcoming and made me feel very safe. The people in the guesthouse and the other workawayer were also amazing people, we even exchanged contacts. I really enjoyed staying with Kai and everyone else. Thank you very much!

I spent 2 weeks and a half at Emily's dog shelter. It was one of the best workaway experience I had so far! Emily, the place owner is taking really good care of all the dogs and is always motivated to help others and share (funny) stories. Angus the volunteer coordinator is an amazing person. He warmly welcomed me and explained everything super clearly. Additionally he is doing a lot of culinary fermentation experiences which I LOVED! And Charro the house caretaker was a mother for all of us (cooking us food or giving us homemade cakes from time to time). Last and not least, the dogs will melt your heart. I loved each one of them and it is really hard to leave this place without crying. Take care all of you and thanks again 😘

Annelu is super! She is hardworking, committed and conscientious. Fully independent. She’s not afraid of work, quite the opposite. Annelu spent more than five weeks with us, doing serious weeding in the garden, picking berries such as black-, white-, and redcurrant, buckthorn, blueberries, and fruit like apples, pears, plums, loooots of plums. She also wanted to try out wood chopping and loved it! Most of all, Annelu loves to spend time in the kitchen, baking all kinds of beautiful bread and pies, cooking delicious vegetarian food, making compote and jam out of plums, blackcurrent, apple, blueberries… Shen even made homemade ice cream out of plums! You should let her surprise you with what she can cook in the kitchen! Annelu is your dream workawayer, we highly recommend her! Thanks, Annelu!
