I had a very good time at Julia's and Giovanni's place near Collecorvino. The farm is placed on a hill with a great view. They have lovely pets and a very kind family. We were a couple workawaywers helping them to harvest the olives. I recommend it very much! All the best, Christian

Carly was an exceptional volunteer at the hostel. During her stay, she brought incredible energy, creativity, and dedication to our team. She not only contributed to the daily operations but also took the initiative to formulate and lead hostel activities that brought guests together and enhanced the social atmosphere of the hostel. Her ability to connect with people, organize events, and maintain a positive attitude made a lasting impact on both our staff and guests. Carly demonstrated strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills — always proactive, reliable, and full of good spirit. We truly appreciated her contribution to building the hostel’s community vibe, and we’d gladly welcome her back anytime. She would be an asset to any team or project she joins.

Mais ça a été une belle expérience de venir chez vous :) la petite famille est vraiment trop chou, tous à leur manière et ont une très belle énergie ! On a même eu droit à une caravane entiere quand on est venu, entourée de ce beau décor !! L'endroit n'est pas hyper accessible, c'est sûr mais Aguilas (la petit ville la plus proche)n'est pas trop trop loin en voiture, si on cherche l'isolement dans la nature c'est top! Merci pour l'accueil 🙏🙏 à bientôt j'espère et merci pour les chouettes échanges qu'on a eu !!!

My experience at Tim's place was a fantastic time! I stayed for 6 weeks and learned a variety of new skills and was treated very well. Some things we did were: split wood, clear brush, dig a trench for the water line, transplant some Cedar trees, set up a cat feeder, put up an electric wire fence, changed the oil on a car, and a variety of little tasks here and there. Tim is very knowledgeable on a wide variety of different topics! We also visited the Redwoods and I never could've imagined how big trees could get, it was like I walked into a fantasy book with dwarfs and fairies! I had never done any of these things before, but I was willing to learn and Tim was very willing, and very happy, to teach! Tim is a great communicator and has lots of stories of traveling all around the world that are a pleasure to listen to and has inspired me to travel more and experience more that life has to offer. I came to work hard, develop my skills, and experience a different way of living; Tim understood that and I've rarely felt as appreciated as how Tim treated me for the time I was there. Thank you Tim! I had a wonderful time and I'm glad I had you as my first Workaway because you've eased so many of my worries about this site, traveling, and staying in a place so far away from home. It was a pleasure to help you! -MC

This is an amazing place to connect with yourself, learn about basic agriculture, and see a different way of life compared to urban life. The whole family that lives there (Hannes, Maria, Michael, and Johnny) are welcoming people that will support you since the first moment and will be open to share their knowledge, kindness, peace, amazing meals, and a warm smile. Even being an isolated site, they often have visits and relationship with neighbourhood and the small village close by. I enjoyed a lot having discussions with them about different themes. Also, the activities are really diverse (from cooking, cleaning, to harvesting and construction). So, for sure new volunteers will be able to add some value and learn something. Important point is that they really respect the agreement in terms of workings hours, and any extra activity they propose you feel totally free to join or not. My room was really cosy and had everything I need to spend some weeks. I hope I can visit again and meet the amazing family. Wish you all the best!

Me quedé en la Warmi Wasi de junio a agosto y fue increíble. Las tareas son muy variadas y tenemos mucha libertad para sugerir cosas, pero también hay una estructura con actividades que se realizan cada semana y un buen equilibrio. Me sentí privilegiada de compartir con las Warmis, participar en actividades especiales como círculos de mujeres, clases de cocina boliviana, de DIY... Pude organizar yo misma talleres creativos para las warmis: talleres de poesía y otros de pintura... Algunas de las tareas posibles: ayudar con las redes sociales (fotos y publicaciones), durante los eventos, cuidar el jardín, traducir durante los talleres de cocina con turistas, organizar talleres, ayudar con crowdfunding, ayudar cuando hay mercados donde las warmis venden sus artesanías... Me gusta también que como voluntarios tenemos bastante tiempo libre y privacidad, ya que somos los únicos que vivían en esta casa (muy bonita y con un gran jardín) pero durante los eventos y talleres la casa esta llena de alegría y animación también. Tuve un cumpleaños estupendo allí !! Además, Cochabamba es una ciudad grande, con varias excursiones que hicimos con los otros voluntarias y actividades sociales que hacer. Hice cursos de yoga en mi tiempo libre, también hay clases de salsa, intercambio de idiomas... Recomiendo quedarse allí lo mas tiempo que puedes, para conocer realmente la fundación, conectar con las warmis y el equipo, tantas personas hermosas. Aunque cuando te tienes que ir es muy triste. Sinceramente, podría haberme quedado allí todo un año. Ojalá volveré!

Chelsea, Mike, and the girls were such a delight to spend two months with — I can happily call them my other family! Life on the ranch was the perfect mix of peaceful and active. My days usually started with helping get the kids out the door in the morning, and I had plenty of independence throughout the day to focus on tasks like laundry, dishes, tidying up, and sometimes deep cleaning certain areas. The work was very manageable and I always felt trusted, appreciated, and part of the family . In my spare time, I loved hanging out with the girls, playing with the many dogs, making some baked goods and even a bit of horse riding while learning about ranch life. It was also so special to meet their friends and extended family and to experience my first-ever Thanksgiving! Chelsea is a wonderful cook and I really loved being able to help out with preparing meals and cooking for the girls when it was just the 3 of us. (I will miss our dance parties so much!!) If you enjoy animals, kids, and being part of a kind, fun family, I couldn’t recommend this experience more. My time here was full of laughter, learning, and connection — truly a memorable stay in beautiful British Columbia.

Ytsen stay with us for 2 weeks. He was very organized and contacted months before and stayed true to his word :). We were very happy to host him. He did not hesitate to get his hands dirty and was able to manage the project we gave him excellently. He blended very well to the daily life on the farm. All the love from the family. Hope to meet in the future.

Ily stayed on our project for a few weeks through summer. Now he's a long term friend of our sangha and we hope he will come back to stay soon. He is a reliable, experienced construction worker who was a huge asset in our major building projects this summer: the roof and the kitchen extension. I would describe Ily as a calm, inquisitive, grounded person. He had a natural integration within our community and even when he was new it felt like he had been here for a long time. He is also a great dancer and a reliable leftovers consumer.

It was great having Giovanni as a volunteer. His demeanour is calm, patient and easygoing. He integrated naturally in our community. He contributed lots to the building project - I have memories of watching him shovelling and wheelbarrowing in our new kitchen. It is the kind of construction labour that we always need help with, and Giovanni was someone we could trust. We would definitely welcome Giovanni back as a volunteer. The doors will be open!

Nina was supposed to stay with us just for a week, but we are very happy she decided to stay longer! :) She arrived in the busiest time of the year: during the olive harvesting! She has been such a great help in many ways during her stay: she harvested olives with us, she helped us re-cobbing our bathroom, she propagated plants by making cuttings, she watched over our animals while we weren't at home. We are very happy that after a couple of days she opened up and showed her personality and we laughed a lot! Thank you Nina for choosing to help our project, we hope you'll be back so we can give you an other "earworm" with a silly song!! :D Have a wonderful gap year!! Ps: Nina knows lots about mushrooms!!

I really enjoyed my time here! Michal and Riam are both hard and honest workers. The agreement is to work 3 hours a day, this is well respected and they don't try to make you work longer. Because of their hard work you get in the workflow and those 3 hours pass by in a whim. Tasks include : beach cleaning, general cleaning, weeding and helping with maintenance of the resort. The bungalow is right in front of the beach with a beautiful view... pure bliss. Koh Mak is a beautiful island and has rich nature, if you are looking for a place that is a bit more laid back and calm, then this is the perfect place. I learned a lot about nature, culture and how to maintain wood in a tropical environment. 😁 It was a pleasure to spend here 3 weeks, I already miss Koh Mak. Thank you very much Michal for the opportunity and the very pleasant time. This place is recommended! 😁🙏

Olle primer chico de suecia This young man stood out for being a very studious, kind, and helpful person with a deep interest in Latin American culture. During his time with us, he demonstrated great commitment to his classes — always prepared, participative, and genuinely eager to learn and share knowledge. He was an excellent team member, cooperative and respectful with everyone. His positive attitude and constant willingness to help greatly contributed to a pleasant and supportive group environment. The students truly enjoyed his classes, as he managed to connect teaching with cultural aspects that made the learning experience more engaging and meaningful. His time at our school was truly valuable. We are grateful for his enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, and the warmth he brought to every activity. We wish him much success and hope he continues exploring, learning, and leaving a positive mark wherever he goes.

I had an absolutely incredible experience here. Everything about this place, from the environment, to the students, to the family, is just beautiful. It was an absolute pleasure to work here, and I miss it already! Luisa and the family work so hard to maintain the school and always ensure that everyone feels comfortable and happy there. I felt at home for the 5 weeks I spent there and I will certainly be returning! Alongside the great energy I felt from the family, there is also a great vibe with the other volunteers. Though people are constantly coming and going, it's very easy to settle into the group and I made friends for life here. I could not recommend this experience more! Inhhe is a young man from the United States who spent a month with us. During his stay, he showed interest in participating in the school’s activities and in sharing his culture with the students. He was respectful and kind to everyone, and made an effort to create a pleasant atmosphere in his classes. The students enjoyed interacting with a native English speaker and practicing the language in a more natural and friendly way. We appreciate the time he spent with us and the contribution he made to our educational community during his stay. We wish him much success in his future projects and everything that lies ahead.

I spent two weeks at Jasmina and Nicolo’s place, and I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot about animals, especially pigs and about gardening with Jas. We also had many interesting conversations while enjoying Jasmina’s delicious cooking. Many thanks as well to Simone for his help with painting and for all the great conversations we shared. I hope to see you again in Macedonia! To sum up, it was a really great experience, I highly recommend it. Jas, the animals, and all the good moments we shared already miss me!

Katarina and her friend Lucia were a great help to our family. They were super interested in our local area and took great care of Nia while were were on holiday. They were very easy to have around and great company when we were around and our two kids warmed to them straight away. Anyone who is looking for a Workawayer who is keen to help out with anything should consider Katarina. Certainly, Nia was lost for a few days when they left. Thanks Katarina and Lucia
