We were very pleased to host Isabel and her son Nathaniel. Their presence had a truly positive impact on our community. They shared their culture beautifully — through the delicious meals Isabel prepared and through a heartfelt presentation Nathaniel gave about his life back in Peru, which helped our children discover other countries, identities, values, and beliefs. Isabel embodies values such as sustainability, reciprocity, and kindness. She is always eager to help wherever needed, approaches every task with care and creativity, and brings a touch of beauty to everything she does. Isabel and her classy little gentleman Nathaniel are definitely part of the whole Family. We are grateful for the time they spent with us and wholeheartedly recommend them to any future hosts.

My stay with Lucas was really amazing! 😊✨️ He is probably one of the most easy-going people I've ever met. It was big fun to spend 1 week with him, his dog and cats. We cooked the best food together, had a lot of interesting conversations, and I helped with a few things at his garden. I felt really comfortable and relaxed there, and I'm sure I will come back soon again!🙌 Thanks for everything. It's a great opportunity to truly enjoy the beach, ocean and slow life in the paradise of Bahia! 🩵🌞🌴

It was such a pleasure having you, Jerimy and Shanon! You were both so kind, helpful, and always ready to take part in every café task with a smile. We truly appreciated how open you were to connect with our customers and chat in English with our students — it made the atmosphere even more special! Your friendliness and enthusiasm filled the Café with great energy. We hope to see you again soon, and we invite everyone reading this to come experience the warm and welcoming vibe of the Café too!

What an amazing place. We spent 2 months helping out at the end of summer/beginning of fall. And what a wonderful time it has been. The work is diverse, the horses are great, the landscape is beautiful and the people are the best. We have felt so welcome and a part of the farm family since the very beginning. Big shout out to Donna, Owen, Tilly, Olivia, Tammy, Lyle, Jocelyn & Grace… Harcourt is home to some of the kindest folk in Canada! We are very grateful to have spent this time at South Algonquin Trails. We definitely recommend this place. We will keep this experience in our hearts forever!! Our very best wishes, Anna and Ron

:) It was our first experience with Workaway in South America, and it couldn't have been better. Ana is a fantastic person and very helpful, and we got to know the whole family. Plus, the place is fantastic. We stayed for a week because we were traveling by van. In addition to the work, it was a cultural exchange experience and we had some unforgettable moments. Thank you for everything! :)

I stayed a week in August at Rosine and Christian's home and it was a great experience! I enjoy our meals together sharing about food, cultures, TV shows, music... Rosine explains the tasks clearly so that I could follow easily. She also helped me a lot with my French. Christian is an excellent cook, and has very interesting stories to tell. It was a great pleasure to meet Gabrielle too. The dogs were fun to be with and I got to know more about their personalities once they got used to my presence. I enjoy our after-meal walk near the house! A big thank-you for hosting me!

We were happy to have Olga and Murat helping us during our busy fall season. Olga is full of energy and contributed in many tasks. Murat learned to take over the laundry chores and both are very experienced in housekeeping. They assisted to our end-of-season deep cleaning process, working with 3 other staff. We wish them all the best in their continuing travels and work adventure.

Jelle was a highly motivated and competent volunteer. He was independent , great at problem solving and not afraid of a challenge. Not only that but he was fascinating to talk to due to his level of engagement in all sorts of topics and willingness to explore and consider new ideas. He was cheerful and good with the kids. Wish you all the best with your research Jelle, it was great having you here!!

Karine is a very Kind and intelligent person, has an incredible project to educate people from remote places and empower them in their culture!!.. her olive farm is like an oasis in the desert! so green and full of life, even some wild turtles find their way here. She is very dedicated to her work, listens, and tries her best to accommodate your needs while on the farm. Tasks were diverse and she has many options so you don't get tired of doing only one thing!! there is little contact with the Moroccan local people, but sometimes part of her team comes to eat together with us. Thank you Karine for your kind and loving energy. Note: Location is somewhat remote, the distance from the bus station to the Farm is 3.1 km and there is no shade, nor many cars passing that will pick you up.

Andrea was a delight to host, a self starter, motivated and happy to complete whatever was required. She was wonderful company and we enjoyed getting to know her, and are very happy she is choosing to return.

I volunteered with Gus, Emily, and their extended family of about 30 amazing huskies for two unforgettable weeks. Honestly, it felt way too short — this place is an absolute gem for anyone who loves animals, nature, and a bit of rustic adventure. There is also a yurt where volunteers can sleep, which is usually the case, as they need someone to look after two dogs down there. Also, a cozy place to spend time if you like living with dogs. The tasks were diverse and fun: helping with the daily husky runs using the ATV, feeding the dogs, cleaning their areas, working in the garden, or doing some maintenance. I really appreciated that the workload was balanced — they make sure you have enough time to explore, rest, and truly enjoy the place. You can have an outdoor shower in the evenings, and even go to their hot tub, which is on fire for a dip every night, and a real game changer in the cold days. I loved it. And the food... wow. Dinner was always a highlight — from fresh moose meat tacos to homemade burgers, soups, and salmon, with most ingredients coming straight from their garden, local hunters/Emily’s butcher place. I stayed in a cozy little cabin next to the main house — no Wi-Fi, no running water, just a fire to keep you warm through the winter nights. It felt perfectly authentic, and I loved every bit of it. If you need groceries, Emily sometimes drives into town and can pick up a few things for you, or you can catch the bus. The surroundings are stunning — endless forest, plenty of moose (keep your eyes and ears open 😅), and even a beautiful beach to explore nearby. Truly one of the most memorable volunteering experiences I’ve had — peaceful, real, lots of fun. Thank you Emily and Gus!! ....and Go Tottenham! :)

Amber was with us for almost a month, she's a very solar and kind person, and she does every kind of work with the smile. She is very careful and we spent a lot of good time together and she became part of the family... BUT... She is ALSO very resistent and helped us a lot also with the olive harvest, that is a very phisical job; when we had to finish the work she was very flexible with the schedule and simply great! Thank you very much for everything we feel a lot enriched... See you soon🙏🏻

This was my very first time in the UK — and also my first Workaway experience — and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! Thank you so much for welcoming me so warmly from the very beginning. I feel so lucky to have spent time in beautiful West Dorset, surrounded by stunning nature and your lovely home. I’m truly grateful for everything.

Diana, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to meet your family 🥰, it was a really beautiful experience with you, you reminded me of what it feels like to be surrounded by kids and pets 😂. I would highly recommend working away with Diana if you wanna learn about recycling lifestyle, and you like living countryside, being surrounded by pets, and active kids who know how to win over you in board games 🤣, I lost most of the rounds😂😂😂😂. It was really lovely to spend time with you🥰, and ofc I'll come around whenever I have an apportunity.🥹

Hosting Alice was a pleasure. She is truly one of a kind ! ...and all of my friends also appreciated that about her She is so funny from the moment she begins her day to the moment she ends her day. I found her entirely entertaining and found myself laughing more than ever. Her stay here for approximately 2 weeks was one of the most beautiful times of the summer of 2025. She's a good worker she's very clever and full of good ideas - she loves to cook and cooks very well! She became an instant friend ... and I think anybody who meets her is very lucky indeed. She is welcome back anytime. Just the thought makes me smile

I spent two weeks at Stef’s house and it was awesome! He took me in last minute and was very responsive and flexible while I tried to figure out my travel plans. His house is beautiful and I got to stay in a large Yurt next to the house with plenty of accommodations. The work was fun and interesting and Stef was always willing and patient to help me out if I had any questions or concerns. For the first 6-7 days I worked on a little compost house in his yard and it was super fun to dust off some of my old woodshop experience. And when I left he even gave me a little tour of Autun, which was super litty. All in all, I had a really great time with Stef who is just a super cool guy in general and I can’t recommend his place enough. If I had the chance I definitely would’ve been willing to stay for 6-7 weeks.
