What a Gem of a find! Billy and Noelle are superb hosts and wonderful company. We had a variety of tasks throughout our stay with the primary focus on helping get everything ready for winter. We'd start each day at 9 with our assigned tasks then we'd take a break at 11 (which was Lovingly referred to as "Elevens") where we'd have scones and coffee and we'd be entertained with stories. Then we'd hustle back to our tasks and finish our day around 2 ish for lunch. Billy and Noelle have fun stories about their own time as workawayers and also about all things Ireland. The adorable cottage we stayed in was peaceful and easy to relax in. We were able to use bikes provided and we were often given rides into Kinvara so we could catch the bus for our off day adventures. This is a fantastic place and it's completely worth your time and attention to give it a go. We loved our time there but loved our hosts even more.

We spent 10 days at Ash’s place in September and it was a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our dinner conversations and had lots of laughs thanks to her two lovely teenage daughters. We mainly helped Ash in the garden with weeding, planting, and general cleaning. The cottage provided for accommodation was very well equipped, we even got to enjoy a cozy fireplace! The house is ideally located, close to the amenities of the nearby town and only about 45 minutes from Adelaide, which was very convenient. Thanks again to the whole family for their warm welcome 😊

Morgan is very respectful and kind and was very easy to have around. He was happy to try the different tasks we asked of him and undertook them all willingly. Morgan is very open to learning and has lots of interesting stories to tell from his travels so far, which made for good conversation. Wishing you more exciting adventures before you head back to France!

I would like to sincerely thanks Rebecca for all the time, energy, and love she has given to the dogs at the HQ (Hope Quarter ) It was a real pleasure to have her with us, and even more to see her return a second time, which shows how much she was touched by the work we do. Her gentleness and presence were greatly appreciated, and she was able to give our four paws all the warmth, comfort, and attention they needed at every moment spent with them. Thanks to her for all the time, work, and effort she dedicated. Always available and attentive. you will always be welcome!

Thank you so much to Will and Amy for welcoming us into their beautiful resort in Paynesville. We quickly felt at home thanks to their warm hospitality and spent five wonderful weeks there. We really enjoyed working with Belinda on the cleaning each morning, she guided us perfectly to meet Will and Amy’s expectations. They were also very flexible with some commitments we had and kindly let us use the bikes and kayaks to explore the stunning surroundings of the resort! Thank you again to the whole family 😊

We absolutely loved having Helena and Julien to stay with us- they fit into our family perfectly and it was a real pleasure to spend time with them. They both worked hard and accomplished all of the requested tasks with great attention to detail - leading to really good results. We really enjoyed a couple of beautiful meals Helena and Julien prepared for us and had lots of enjoyable moments around the dinner table together. Hello! This was my very first workaway experience and it was absolutely wonderful. Bojacá is an awesome place. I went on walks every single day throughout all of the town and surrounding hills seeing awesome views and passing by kind people. The town is big enough that you will have access to almost anything you could possibly need and the family often takes trips to towns closeby that are bigger if you every needed to do any other type of shopping. I looked for a while to decide which workaway I should do first and I ended up with a feeling in my gut after reading other reviews and seeing all their pictures that this would be very personal and the guest would be part of the family, it was exactly what I expected in that regard. Every meal is spent chatting it up with the family, every weekend has the opportunity for fun adventures, nightly card games, fun family events in the town with the extended family and more. If your goal like mine is to really improve your spanish, this is a wonderful place to do it. You can work with Steven and Miguel (who are also awesome and very nice) on your Spanish and improve it in all the other parts of the day as well listening or speaking with the family. Everyone takes such good care of you and it is an incredibly close family who spends alot of time learning, chatting, and laughing together. My favorite times were our weekends in La Mesa together, Sky Jo the card game, and chatting at the dinner table after one of the wonderful meals I was luck enough to have every day. It was sad leaving and I am looking forward to the day I go back to reconnect with everyone. Thank you for making my first month in Colombia so great :)

Sophie and Théo are such an amazing couple! 💛 They brought so much love, energy, and positivity to the HQ ( hope quarter) . Always ready to help, always available, and always with a smile. They really gave their best in everything they did. Sophie, as a professional nurse, was such a huge asset. Her gentleness and efficiency made a big difference and were very much appreciated. Theo’s kindness, patience, and sense of responsibility made him a real rock here. They are very complementary, which makes them an incredible team. Together, they took incredible care of the dogs and the HQ. So much love and attention! I miss them, we all miss them, and all dogs too! Because of them I was able to go on vacation completely at peace, knowing everything would run perfectly. They left behind so much warmth and positive energy. Thank you both for everything you’ll always have a home here and I'm waiting for you!

The hosts are a delightful couple who graciously extended lovely hospitality, friendship and experiences. Their work requests were very reasonable and always appreciated. This was my first workaway and I can't imagine how it could have been better. Thank you Therese and Rich.

Barbara & Robert me dejaron muy en claro el compromiso de su trabajo, lo hacen todo con siempre con amor, con una actitud positiva y alentadora, que volvió la labores más agradables de lo que podrían parecer. Otro aspecto muy importante es que son personas muy agradecidas y prácticas, pero también, les importa el "hacer bien" las actividades que desempeñan, Sin duda, sé que el lugar al cual lleguen, serán de gran gran ayuda, y lo mejor, son maravillosas personas. Ashlee was a very friendly guest and a conscientious worker. She helped out with several gardening projects, and some sanding/painting. We had nice dinners together and she got along well with the other workawayers here.

I had an amazing time staying at Shirin's place for about 12 days in Johor Bahru. It was a wonderful experience in every aspect. Shirin is very kind, sof-spoken and compassionate. I worked in Shirin's garden. I learned alot about permaculture, sustainable gardening, recycling, and homesteading. Also we went to KotaJail(a former jail) often for some gardening work which was awesome. Thank you Shirin for the extraordinary hospitality, delicious food and most importantly the valuable insights of sustainable gardening.

Martin and Catherine are my very first hosts in New Zealand. We had been in touch for about three months before I arrived, and I’d really been looking forward to this day. I’ve learned so many things here feeding milk to lambs, checking traps, and brushing the Highland cows. Every evening we talk about the plans for the next day, so I never have to worry about what to do. Whenever I have a question, they explain things in detail, and I’ve gained so much new knowledge! Even though I don’t have a car, they kindly take me to many different places. One of the most impressive experiences was visiting a cave it was truly unforgettable. Their two dogs are so smart, friendly, and adorable. I’ve made such wonderful memories here, and I’ll be staying with them again next month!

Daniel was a great host for my first workaway experience. He made my stay feel very welcome, along with the other guests staying there. During my time there, I helped Daniel renovate parts of his non-profit's arts venue and do various yard work. His home was very beautiful and amazing to have such delicious meals straight from the garden. Extremely grateful to have had this opportunity and to have been able to visit the West Coast! Thank you so much for sharing your home and town.

Kaaren was my very first host through Workaway. Her house is so lovely, and you can see the train passing by from the garden. She has a very large garden, too. On my days off, I could go into the city of Melbourne and meet up with friends. I also had a housemate, which made things even more fun .we worked in the garden together and cooked meals together, which I really enjoyed. One of my favorite memories is going to a nearby pub with my housemate and cooking Piazza. There’s also an adorable, friendly cat who loves to cuddle and even sleeps with you under the blanket. On day, she made dessert her cakes were truly impressive! If I ever go back to Melbourne, I’ll definitely visit her again.

Laurie was an excellent volunteer — reliable, caring, and very observant with the animals. She understood perfectly the philosophy of our work and always respected the rules to ensure the animals’ well-being. Her commitment and empathy were remarkable. We’re very grateful for her help and hope she will return someday.

Jasmine brought a wonderful energy to the team. She was responsible, enthusiastic, and always ready to help with a smile. Her connection with the animals and her genuine interest in learning made a great difference. We really appreciated her presence and her positive attitude every single day. Thank you, Jasmine, for being part of our work and leaving such a beautiful mark.

I’m currently studying in Lima, and I joined Dionny’s Workaway during my one-week vacation. It was a wonderful experience — I got to share stories and information with travelers from all over the world and immerse myself in the local culture. I really enjoyed the days surrounded by nature and animals, and I loved spending time talking with Dionny about many different things!

It was a real pleasure having Mella with us. From the very beginning, she showed great dedication, curiosity, and care for the animals. She quickly adapted to the rhythm of the center and became an important part of the daily work. Her sensitivity and love for nature were reflected in every task. We wish her all the best in her future journeys and hope to see her again one day.
