I really enjoyed Max and Noemie being here. We had some great food, and I learnt a lot about France and French life. Really appreciate the hard work that they put in whilst here. I totally recommend both and i hope they have a great life together. They are both trustworthy and i wish them all the best for the future and maybe catch up one day in France. All the best Geoff.

Chloe and Mark were great to have around - friendly, hard working, thoughtful and liked to finish a job. They are a lovely couple - great conversation around the dinner table and can cook a good dinner, too! They learnt fast and were happy to work independently, as well as being flexible depending on the weather conditions! They were always punctual for arranged work times, very respectful of our privacy and left our property in perfect condition. We wish them all the best for their onward adventures and definitely recommend them to you.

Was previledged to host Anna and her travel buddy in Nairobi. We had great time sharing moments, hangouts, meals and visited Nairobi's hidden gems together. She is a kind, friendly and knowledgeable traveler. Thank you Anna for coming and staying with us. Lennox and I will remember you.

Aiden stayed with us for just over a week, and we were very happy to have him here. He’s a very easy-going, open, and cheerful guy with a great sense of humor who quickly became part of our team. No task was ever a problem for him — he approached every job with commitment and a positive attitude. He helped us clean the chicken coop, but most of all, he did an excellent job working on the construction of a wooden shelter, cutting trees, and preparing structural logs. Aiden is hardworking, reliable, and someone you can truly count on. We can fully recommend him to any future hosts — he’s the kind of person who makes work a real pleasure.

We spent six weeks at the Pegasus farm and really loved it! The farm is located in the mountains of the greek island Thassos - if you are looking for a calm work away experience in nature then this is for you. Our tasks were light renovation on the house, working with the horses and taking care of the other animals. Sofia, the owner, is a super nice person who made sure we had everything we needed - from clothes to a motorbike to explore the island (and sometimes even her car). If you are planning to stay there a bit longer it would be good to have a driving license. We had our own apartment with a small kitchen and bathroom and all the expenses for food were covered. It was a great time and we would definitely recommend it! Thank you again :)

Laura and Andres were absolutely fantastic! They helped us with so many different tasks — from work on the renovation project to the olive harvest — and made everything more fun along the way. They are hardworking, humble, helpful, and full of positive energy. We also learned a lot of Spanish thanks to their patience and kindness. It was such a joy to have them around — always cheerful, respectful, and grateful. They’re welcome back anytime, whether to help us again or just to enjoy a well-deserved holiday! Olga hat sich während 3 Wochen bei mir vorrangig um die Tiere (Hunde, Katze, Chinchillas) gekümmert. Auch als ich einige Tage weg musste, habe ich dies in einem vollständigen "Peace of mind" getan, da Olga sehr umsichtig und respektvoll ist. Sie hat einen sehr verständnisvollen, äusserst liebevollen und achtsamen Umgang mit Tieren auch und besonders mit Tierschutztieren. Sie selbst ist als Persönlichkeit ein "Sonnenschein" :-), die mit ihrer liebevollen und freundlichen Art eine absolute Freude ist im Haus zu haben. Jeder Host der Olga bei sich als Workawayer begrüssen kann, darf sich glücklich schätzen. Bei uns jederzeit sehr gerne wieder.

I had a wonderful workaway experience with Helen on the Sunshine Coast. During my stay, I helped with a variety of tasks including housekeeping, cleaning, gardening, painting, general maintenance and assisting in the process of selling her house. It was a lovely place to stay. every task was reasonable, communication was clear and Helen was very flexible with my schedule which allowed me to explore the area. I also really appreciated her helpful advice and recommendations for finding local work. I had my own comfortable room, enjoyed being able to cook in a clean and well-equipped kitchen, and was grateful that groceries were provided. Helen’s hospitality, guidance, and wealth of DIY experience made my stay both enjoyable and educational. Thank you again for everything, and all the best! :))

We were very happy to welcome Harry in Yakushima! We were in touch for a while before his arrival, and he could meet our staff in Fukuoka before heading to Yakushima, what made it easier to communicate afterwards. It was really easy to talk to him, and he was really understanding with all the sudden changes we had to do at the farm because of the sudden rain. ^^' He helped us with a lot of tasks at the farm, maintaning the accommodation clean, making videos to help future volunteers (the videos are being used regularly when explaining, so thank you!), and also sharing time with our students and visiting our school. His Japanese was very good, which allowed him to talk and connect with more of our staff and people in the island; as well as made it easier for him to talk with our students. We definitely recommend Harry as a volunteer, and are looking forward to the time he can come back and visit. ^^ 色々ありがとうございました！また遊びに来てね～！

The three months that I worked at the hotel were wonderful. I had a superb experience. The place is beautiful, my colleagues were lovely, and Manuela and Wolfgang are simply the best. They are both kind-hearted people who make you feel welcome, included, and looked after. I loved how they both trusted me to do my job, and if at any point there was something I didn't know how to do or made a mistake, they kindly let me know about it. I could not have asked for a better experience. The job was good, but because of them, the experience was remarkable. Thank you!

Klara and Estrid are wonderful people! They bring joy to your house while getting heaps done. No task is too small and none too big .... from cleaning the car to wheelbarrowing heavy mulch and compost ... much was accomplished. They also helped prepare a big birthday lunch, including cleaning up again! I highly recommend Klara and Estrid to let them into your home and let them do their magic. Kakite Klara and Estrid - come back any time!

i don't know where to begin ... i was volunteering with my friend in this hostel and we just fell in love with everything. You will feel so welcomed and loved by david, barney and proxy🧡 No matter what the boys were there to help you. You will never feel lonely or lost plus they offer amazing trips and a lot of insider tips for goergetown which helps you to understand the city. My friend and I had a bicycle/car accident and they immediately helped us without a question! Thank you so much , we will miss you soo see you soon , hopefully 💓💗💝💞 evi and pauli 💛

Had such a wonderful time at the hostel! The team was incredible! We would go surf almost everyday, head to parties, play cards at the beach, get dinner, all together it felt like we were one big family. The work is really chill and they’re very flexible about the schedule, allowing you to make some trips during your stay. Everyone kept extending, easy place to get stuck because it’s so nice 😂

This was my first Workaway, and I couldn’t imagine a better one! i was planning to stay 2 weeks, but ended up staying for 2 month! If you enjoy a relaxed vibe with a lot of freedom, this is perfect. Everyone in this small community is kind, welcoming, and always up for a chat. Especially Russel (the owner) and Erik ( his worker) are incredibly generous and attentive, always checking in to make sure you’re comfortable. Russel sometimes invites you to game nights or a delicious dinner or takes you out for a coffee and Erik showed us some scenic spots in the area. The work is always fair and fun — erik is a great "boss". Its about 5 hours a day of work (weekends off) and after that you have plenty of free time to explore or relax. The accommodation is very comfy in seperate "pods" and the location is peaceful, on a forestry hill outside town. Thank you for that great inspiring time at your place!

It was such a pleasure to host Andrew, he’s such a sweet kind hearted guy who was always eager to learn and help with any task big or small. He would always use his initiative to do tasks/house chores without having to be asked. Most importantly he was amazing with my kids and showed a lot of patience with them and their constant questions about the world around them. I would highly recommend Andrew to any future Workaway hosts, thanks so much once again ‘red pie’ guy 💚🤙

Mike and Susann are wonderful farmers who truly live their lifestyle and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience. During our stay, we helped with a variety of tasks, usually around 4–5 hours a day. We collected, chopped, and stacked firewood for the winter, harvested apples, pears, plums, and vegetables for the farmers market, prepared for the market, picked flowers, helped repair a small greenhouse, and peeled garlic to make garlic powder. The daily shared lunch was absolutely amazing — we looked forward to it every morning! Susann is a passionate cook, and every meal was a highlight of the day. We stayed for three weeks in a cozy wooden cabin and a yurt, which were both really comfortable. Even after our official stay, we came back to help out again — making apple juice and preparing flower roots for winter storage. At the beginning of our stay, the weather was still warm, and we enjoyed swimming in the beautiful nearby lakes. There’s also a small weekend bakery just five minutes away that serves great coffee. The nearest town, Pemberton, is about 20 minutes away and well worth a visit. This was our very first Workaway experience, and we are incredibly grateful to have had such a positive and inspiring start. Thank you, Mike and Susann, for sharing your place and your knowledge with us! We would love to come back and hope that our paths cross again.
