Get ready for the authentic sicilian life! From the very first moment Christa & Turi were incredibly friendly, welcoming and generous. Christa picked me up from Catania, and the next day we harvested the grapes for the winemaking and had a huge barbeque with Turi's entire lovely family. They treated me like a family member and included me in their everyday life, and I'm so grateful for that. Too bad Christa had to leave earlier for Germany so I couldn't say goodbye to her, but saying goodbye to Turi at the airport was really hard since we became so close in those 2 weeks I've been there. I am eternally grateful for the unique moments we had, and I will remember all of them as the beautiful people they are! Lots of love from me! ❤️ Also lots of love to Chicho (Francesco), Kika and Luna, who always kept us save from the evil cats and birds around the house 🐶🥰

j’ai passé un super moment chez ben, emma, loup et armel cette semaine était beaucoup trop courte j’ai appris plein de choses, sur la vie ici et un peu sur moi aussi merci pour votre bienveillance, votre accueil et votre confiance dès le début j’avoue que j’étais un peu stressée en arrivant, parce que c’était mon tout premier workaway mais vous m'avez fait découvrir ça d'une si belle manière je suis tellement contente d’avoir commencé cette aventure ici, avec vous vous avez une façon de vivre que je trouve vraiment inspirante je compte bien en parler autour de moi, parce que je trouve que c’est important de montrer qu’on peut vivre simplement et être heureux comme vous vous m’avez apporté beaucoup plus que vous ne l’imaginez merci pour les repas partagés, les discussions, les rires et tous les petits moments du quotidien promis, je repasserai pour l'apéro ! plein de belles choses à vous quatre, et un gros bisou aux animaux ☀️

We will say this is the best workaway experience in New Zealand for us!! Thank you sooooo much, Bella, Aidan, Daisy and Ruffy!! We felt very welcomed, respected and supported from the first day! Even though we only stayed there for 5 days, we enjoyed a lot and had a lot of good conversations! We love all the interesting things like going to the beach, drawing the number blocks, playing UNO-no mercy cards or making the dumplings with you! Always have something fun together!🥰 Bella is a very thoughtful and kind host, she always introduced us to their friends and family, so we can feel that she treated us like the family members. And we love her Thai massaman curry a lot, so yum!❤️ Aidan's cooking is so good, and he took us to the beach to see the wild sea lions! We will keep remembering the parenting tips that he told us! 😎 Daisy is a very lovely and outgoing girl. We enjoy chatting and love making dumplings with her! She is very sweet and even draw the Hitchhiking sign with me for our next adventure. Ruffy is a brilliant and fun boy, so good at math! We love to play the games with him and won't forget about the knowledge of the animals he shared with us! Our room is downstairs and the space is quiet big! We shared the bathroom and toilet together, and everything is clean and perfect! We feel very comfortable and warm in their house. When you meet them, you can definitely feel that everyone is welcome to stay here and enjoy the cultural exchange in New Zealand! Last but not least, we really appreciated that you give us a ride to Cromwell, and helped us get the hitchhiking to Queenstown! Love you and we hope that we can meet again soon!! 😍 Wish you all the happiness and joy!

This was my very first Workaway experience, and I stayed in Pembroke for just about 2 weeks. I can confidently say Nancy is such a wonderful host, and it was worth staying with her. She made my stay very enjoyable, as I was able to explore many places in Massachusetts. Nancy was very welcoming and always made time to drop me off at the train station whenever I requested. Apart from being a good conversationalist, she has a very good sense of humor. I really enjoyed every conversation I had with her. She provided me with two queen-size air mattresses in a very cozy and warm basement, as well as all meals and more for each day. The tasks were very easy and simple for me. It involved cleaning out the basement and helping out with moving stuff around the house, clearing her attic, and some other miscellaneous tasks, as and when required. I had the opportunity to meet her other siblings and friend as well. They were all really nice and lovely people. Nancy is a super host, and I would recommend her to anyone planning on visiting MA.

The place to go in Koh Phangan!! I stayed three weeks in Tahsin's hostel and had an amazing time. I honestly liked it so much that I just kept extending my stay again and again :D The work is super chill but you still get some real hostel experience with check-ins and check-outs and taking care off the guests. The manager’s a super cool guy, always around for a chat and good vibes (Keeping your gift in honor Tahsin!!) Just the perfect place to meet people, have fun, and feel at home. 10/10 would do it again!

Dear friends, I have sincerely spent wonderful days with you, you gave me all your support and warmth. I enjoyed every single moment I was there. Anne Beth introduced me to Norwegian society; as a sociologist, I was fascinated. She invited me to various events, and we participated together in one of them: the Potato Festival!! Incredible, Anne B. is very cheerful, always enthusiastic, and attentive to how to meet your needs. Leif prepared tasks for me to do at home and in the park; all were tasks that you can accomplish, and he helps you with what you need, preparing everything necessary to complete the work. He was very considerate. I biked almost the entire peninsula; it was a dream come true!! I was very sad to have to leave. I hope to return next year; it was an experience I will always remember.

Louis and Mathilde they were good, dutiful, hardworking and pleasant. They had a friend with them for a while. He was also good and like them. We had a nice month with them. Can be recommended Silje og Jim-Ove

J’ai eu la chance de passé 10 jours de sérénité et de partage au sein, accueillie par Audrey et Ivan. Ce fut un endroit où je me suis sentie à la maison, considérée et guidée au quotidien. J’ai été présente lors d’une formation de professeurs de Yoga, ce qui m’a permis de pratiquer le Yoga et la méditation avec le groupe, ainsi que d’assister à certains enseignements où j’ai appris d’avantage sur l’art de vivre, tout en aidant continuellement à la vie quotidienne du lieu. Concernant les différentes missions, c’est une jongle entre la météo et les besoins du groupe. J’ai pu aidé en cuisine avant et après les repas, contribué au potager, à l’embellisement du jardin, pris des photos et bien d’autres. Vous pouvez être certains que vous aurez des choses à faire et probablement adaptées à vos gouts tant les possibilités sont grandes sur ce lieu. Ce fut pour moi de beaux moments d’apprentissage sur la permaculture et de découverte de nouvelles recettes végétariennes délicieuses. Est un véritable lieu de vie et de transformation, et je ne peux que vous recommander de l’inclure à votre itinéraire. Je pense d’ailleurs moi même déjà y retourner Merci encore pour ce moment hors du temps ✨

Having Noe with us was always a calm and meaningful experience. He visited us twice and each time it felt like a dear friend returning home. Part chef, part artist, part dancer, part philosopher, part frisbee player - and full Babu - Noe carried a quiet energy that made the space lighter. He joined our daily reflection circles, listened to the children with deep patience, and encouraged them to speak clearly about their feelings and thoughts. His way of being wasn’t loud, but it stayed with everyone. My parents were also here during his visit and instantly grew fond of him. On the field, he played Frisbee with gentle competitiveness; in the kitchen, he mixed French care with Indian chaos; and in conversations, he brought warmth and honesty. Having him around reminded us that learning is not always about doing more, sometimes it’s about being more present. Merci, Noe, for bringing your calm, humor, and heart into our world.

A huge thank you to Leah for your participation in our project. Leah helped with gardening and with bedding in our glampibg. Leah was always polite, tactful, and prompt. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Leah. We highly recommend Leah to other hosts.

I’m so grateful for the time we shared, for everything I learned from her, and for the inspiration she brings through her dedication and daily actions. Anna spent a month with me..some time spent with other sometimes on her own...no matter the situation the task she just go for it and wonderfully as well. Minutes after she arrived she had to deal with 3 boys /babies..she kept smiling no matter what .she is such a lovely girl i really enjoyed every minute spent with her but the work was as great as the personnality always ahead of everything..thank you again !!

Renate and Michael were absolutely amazing hosts. The moment I arrived, they treated me like family. The work hours were very flexible, with plenty of free time just as the profile said. They gave me lots of tips and advice on what to do with my free time. They are also fantastic cooks. I really felt immersed in German, especially Franconian culture. They were also great at communicating and always made sure to check in with me to see how I was doing and what my daily plans were. Could not have asked for a better experience. Absolutely wonderful!

Manuel is simply wonderful with the help of Brenda he seems to have only one goal:fulfilling your dreams!! In just 2 weeks they managed to realise two big tasks i wanted done for years and the rest in the garden too...soo greatfull..don't hesitate to take them in for one second they are just great

Merci encore à Workaway pour me donner cette possibilité de rencontrer de chouettes personnes . J'ai beaucoup apprécié la présence de Niklas et Carles et leur aide pour les différentes travaux . Jardinage, peinture, nettoyage , rangement , aide à la cuisine ... tout s'est très bien passé. Je les recommande sans hésiter et j'aurai beaucoup de plaisir à les revoir.

I spent a wonderful time with Tinka, Jim, Niklas, and Bastiaan. When I arrived, some other friends were still there, so Tinka and Jim had a lot going on, but I quickly felt right at home. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that the two of them are amazing hosts — everyone felt very comfortable and welcome. I had originally planned to stay for just one week, but I ended up spending another one, and that was definitely the right decision, the time with the four of them was simply wonderful 🫶✨

Lio visited me, and she brought along her lovely dog, Enya, and a huge wave of energy and happiness. She is a young, polite and bubbly young woman, who adapts to any sort of situation. She has been travelling a lot and got used to sleeping in her own car - this shows how easy going she is. She is a very highly educated young lady with lots of knowledge to share, and I was humbled to see how keen she is to constantly learn from life. We shared many lovely meals and chats together. She helped me a lot in the garden, as the first autumnal leaves started to fall when she was here. She didn't even need to asked what I needed help with, she knew immediately at first glance. She always helped me with a large smile and a happy attitude, always checking if I was ok and if my dog was ok to play with hers. She didn't stay long but she is more that welcome to come again. I'd love to have Lio with me again because we can all learn a lot from her. She will go very far in life. Thank you so much Lio, you'll always have a friend here!

I stayed in Stef’s place for 2 and a half weeks. He was always caring for workers if they’re doing well. We would watch some movies in the night or play games. (I watched so many good movies.)He also took me to Autun and could see many of historical relics from the Roman empire which was fascinating. I mainly helped Stef with constructing Compost house. The building Compost house was fun and could learn new tools for cutting wood. He cared about workers’ safety and when there were questions he was always there to kindly respond.

It was a real pleasure hosting Katya on our permaculture farm. She is a respectful, thoughtful, and motivated person who approaches every task with curiosity and care. During her stay, she learned and contributed a lot from gardening and replanting to assisting with the chicken coop construction. Beyond her work, Katya’s positive spirit and kindness made her a wonderful part of our community. We deeply appreciated her presence and would be delighted to welcome her again anytime. 🌞
