Emma was a wonderful volunteer. We deeply appreciate her support with content creation during the kick-off of our high season. She completed her tasks with initiative, respect, and excellent organization while communicating effectively. We loved her creative eye and the content she captured - photos, reels, and videos - and were pleased to feature it on our social media. We'd be delighted to welcome her back at any time!

I loved my time! The staff were all so beautiful, relaxed, friendly and welcoming! The accommodation was stunning, so clean and comfortable. The view from my room was breathtaking! The food was abundant and delicious. I loved teaching yoga here, the location and view from the yoga room was one of the best views I've ever had while teaching! thanks for having me 😆

Our family of four spent 2 weeks helping out at Mickey and Steve’s farm and we all had an absolutely wonderful time! We helped with a variety of outdoor tasks that included: clearing an area of land to create a fruit orchard, removing invasive shrubs from the grounds, tidying overgrown areas, watering vegetables, flowers and young trees and attempting to snake-proof the chicken coops! Our children also especially enjoyed feeding and looking after the two playful, resident dogs, the chickens and the ducks. The farmhouse accommodation is delightful, with lots of antique furniture giving it great character. The kitchen is well equipped and the large, covered terrace is the perfect place to have a meal or just sit and take in the surroundings, especially in the early morning. Our family volunteered at the same time as another family and we thoroughly enjoyed their company, our conversations with them and working alongside them. The multiple bedrooms, spacious common areas, as well as the acres of land, ensured there was plenty of room for all of us. Mickey, Steve and their family are based in Brisbane and although we only got to see them a few times during our stay, their visits were productive and they were very responsive to all messages and questions we had both before and whilst we were staying on the farm. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend volunteering at the Farm to anyone who enjoys being immersed in nature, has the ability to see what tasks need doing and can work independently and proactively to get these done. Our help was much appreciated and we would love to return to help out again next time we’re in the area. Thank you so much Steve, Mickey and family, we wish you guys all the best!

I have had great experience here in the summer. The work is fast-paced and at the same time very rewarding. I like learning and speaking in other languages, there are a lot of tourists in Medulin during the summer season, plus there were other workawayers from around the world - so the cultural exchange is very real and on-going every day. This host been very nice to me, always willing to talk and take care of things when I needed something. We had a good team of colleagues also. The accommodation is fine. I have learned a lot. Thank you.

We stayed for 2 weeks at Andrea and Eoin's home. It was an amazing experience. They are so kind and their children are really nice. It's a funny and warmy family. They gave us lots of tips to visit the area, it was lovely. We did different tasks in the garden, talked about landscape ideas, and also swimming in the sea, playing games, dancing, talking, drawing, laughing, meeting their friends... so many things in 2 weeks ! We were so lucky to stay at their home, we spent a very good time! Thank you so much Andrea and Eoin to welcome us, we already miss you <3

Colter was with us for almost 4 weeks. From the start we got along very well.He brings energy to a place, lots of good and interesting energy. We have doen many jobs together and it was always a joy. We gave him the chance to meet our French acquaintances as he was keen to improve his French. Luckily we were able to teach him some ourselves. Overall we had a really good experience with Colter, one we will not soon forget.

Estelle and Pierre are amazing helpers, they are so energetic and easy going always willing to hel, pretty open to talk about a wide range of topics and provide solutions to everyday problems, having noissues to follow the house rules and integrate in the farm life, i'm very thankful for their help and company during those weeks between games, meals and a lot of stories. I totally recommend them for their versatility and as a plus, they cook deliciously! I wish the best for their adventures and a lot of knowledge for their life project. Hope to see you again guys!

We spent two weeks with Wouter and Sabrina. It was overall an amazing experience. They are still in the early stages of their projet. It is amazing to hear all of the ideas they have for their rustic mountain house and land. It is also nice to see the impact you can have. The work is pretty fun and they are very understanding and flexible on the type and hours of work. Wouter, Sabrina and little Owen are very nice people to hang out with and talk to. We enjoyed talking over meals and playing cardgames with them. We also had a great time exploring the valley and the Alps with them or with their help. We would absolutly recommend this Workaway.

I spent some time volunteering here, and it was a nice experience overall. Irid was very kind, always showing us around, taking us to beautiful places, and even on a boat tour, which was amazing. Ana was always available and quick to answer any questions I had. The work varies depending on the position. I was mostly taking orders and working at the bar, which was fun and easygoing. Besides the restaurant, I also helped a bit with social media when things were calmer. There are some noticeable cultural differences, especially regarding communication, but they are nice guys and we got along well. Approach them with kindness and you’ll get kindness back. Thank you to Marcel, Aldy, and Kevin for the everyday company! Porto Palermo is absolutely stunning, and you’ll never get enough of its beautiful corners. Overall, I’m grateful for this opportunity, for the breathtaking sea views, and for the friendships with other volunteers and memories I’ll take with me.

I had a wonderful time with Harry and Geke. The guesthouse is beautifully located and radiates warmth and hospitality. In the mornings, I often helped with small jobs and in the afternoons, I assisted in the kitchen. I learned a lot from Geke, how she relaxedly planned and prepared the food every day for a group of guests ranging from about 4 to 20 people. Cooking for a large group doesn't always have to be complicated, I now know. Every evening, I loved eating with the guests and hearing about their experiences. A whole new world opened up for me. I didn't know so many (older) overlanders are travelling through Southern Africa, not only for a few weeks, but for months and even years. I enjoyed all the stories and was happy to have the opportunity to be a host here and make the guests feel at home. I also found it very interesting to see all the ins and outs of running a guesthouse and how engaging, easygoing, and demanding guests can be. Harry and Geke also introduced me to family and friends, giving me a glimpse into the lives of people who have lived here for years. In short, it was a special, enriching and valuable experience. Thank you so much!

Laura è una ragazza molto affettuosa , all’inizio un po’ riservata . Col tempo si è aperta e siamo riuscite ad instaurare un bel rapporto . All’inizio ho avuto un po’ di difficoltà perché è stata un po’ schiva e non sembrava gradire particolarmente la nostra compagnia ma piuttosto preferiva restare nella sua stanza . Con Perla e Diana è stata molto brava , le bimbe hanno apprezzato molto la sua compagnia . Non è il massimo della precisione ma i presupposti per migliorare questo aspetto sono ottimi . Penso che con un po’ più di tempo a disposizione avremmo trovato un equilibrio perfetto . Grazie a lei ho scoperto molto sulla storia di Gaza e sul genocidio che questo popolo sta subendo da anni , le sono grata per avermi aperto gli occhi e per essersi aperta con me .

Hi Angelo, I wanted to thank you for your precious presence. You were only here for a few days, but you're the only one I've allowed to touch the olive tree my father planted 40 years ago. A highly experienced pruner, fast, dynamic, and efficient. If you come back, we'll move on to some more trees. :) Have a good trip.

Hello Angelina! I hope you had a very nice trip back. It was my first time with a Finnish woman and the exchange was really interesting. I don't know if everyone is like her in that northern nation, but Angelina was truly amazing: active, strong, adventurous, and courageous. Saskia arrived on time was a good communicator and a good team player. She loved our animals and had a good relationship with our dogs who all loved her. She used her initiative and did extra jobs which were very much appreciated such as bathing our tortoises to helping with preparing the evening meals. She was missed the moment she left us and she has an open invitation to come back anytime. Any host should be proud to host her.

Ella è stata una boccata d’aria fresca per noi : super socievole , allegra , disponibile , aperta .. la ragazza che auguro a tutti di incontrare durante questa esperienza di workaway. È stata di grande aiuto , ha giocato con le nostre figlie , a carte con la Grande per esempio e a tutti i giochi possibili con la piccola , nascondino , acchiappino , colorare , fare le unghie e i capelli . Inoltre la sera mi aiutava dopo cena a rassettare la cucina e ha lasciato la sua camera molto pulita e ordinata . È sempre stata molto puntuale e comunicativa , non le ho mai dovuto chiedere due volte una cosa. Insomma , la nostra esperienza è stata fantastica e la nostra casa sarà sempre aperta quando vorrà tornare . Grazie per tutto Ella , buona vita ❤️

Just a perfect stay on every step! The hostel is beautiful, well located, surrounded by nature and still near the town. I met amazing people and working with Rado is a very nice experience. Everything is well organised and he gave me clear informations about how to do everything. He makes it easy and nice, and with a good mood every day! I felt very good and safe here and hope I will be able to come back. I recommend 100%!!!!!

My experience with Giovanni who I was working with was great. He respected the hours agreed for work and I was able to do my stuff afterwards. We also had some interesting and enjoyable conversations. The house has all the facilities and the views of the city are breathtaking. I wish Gio and Cecilia all the best

Rebecka the person I would called I could build wooden house city with. We had such an amazing program me together worked as an amazing team ever I have received. Thanks to her skill politeness kind work and being thoughtfully with almost everything around her. Is a privilege to receive such an amazing work away. She is just perfect amazing personality ever. I would love to thank u so much for such a great help Rebecka. Building workshop with me in 1 week plus having free time to visit 4 kind of beach around. Cook together amazing dishes. Leah from England was a fantastic volunteer, and her time with us felt way too short! She blended in so smoothly with the group right from the start. With her gentle nature and warm personality, she took on every task with real joy and a positive spirit. Our chats were always pleasant, full of genuine cultural sharing that opened our eyes to new perspectives. Leah was always up for trying something fresh, bringing fresh energy to everything.
