She is one of the most understanding easy going people you will meet! Nathalie estuvo con nosotros por dos semanas, coincidiendo con otra pareja de voluntarios. Es una persona muy amable y sociable que se integró perfectamente en el grupo. Hicimos varios trabajos juntos en el jardín y también hubo momentos de trabajo individual. Siempre se demostró muy atenta y motivada. Nathalie es seguramente una voluntaria de acoger con alegría :) Gracias también por la riquísima comida alemana que nos cocinaste, vuelve cuando quieras, siempre serás bienvenida!

Three magic weeks together. Everythings was great, on every aspect. Asha and Lily was very kind, huge workers, very smart and the time goes very fast. They helps us a lot with splitting and stacking woods, our last task for the season. They also helps us with other farm tasks and they also cooked for us. They were brilliant, we spent time talking on every topic and we immediately felt a great team. We really wish them all the best for everything.

Magdalena es una persona muy amable que da verdaderamente gusto acoger como voluntaria. Estuvo con nosotros tres semanas durante las cuales hicimos muchos trabajos distintos y también tuvimos que pedirle hacer de Home-Sitter para diez días. Todo funcionó perfectamente, Magdalena es una voluntaria totalmente de confianza. Tiene una gran pasión hacia los animales y la naturaleza, se le nota también mucha experiencia en el trabajo y en la vida de campo. Magdalena es también una huésped muy respetuosa de la casa y ordenadísima. Por todos estos motivos fuimos extremamente contentos de acogerla por una segunda vez en nuestro pequeño mundo! La perrita Mary Jane es también una ayudante muy amable, controla que todo alrededor sea en armonía :) Las dos seréis siempre bienvenidas!

What a lovely couple! I'm so happy to have met Jay and Elijah, and it was a real pleasure hosting them. They're truly talented, available for various tasks inside and outside the home, but above all, they're two fantastic chefs—Jay for the meals and Elijah for the desserts... and what desserts! They're both friendly and interesting, and I really hope to see them again. Have a great trip and best wishes!

The age is only a number. 3 fantastic weeks. Alfons is a big man in every aspects. Big worker, big soul and sometimes too tall for our small mountain doors ah ah ah. We had a very beautiful time with him, he immediately join the team and he helps us a lot in a huge variety of works, from splitting wood to improve our garden with new beds for vegetables. His expert carpenter hands make some miracles and our house is now more beautiful. An overall perfect experience. We wish him all the best for everything.

Avery y Miles estuvieron con nosotros dos semanas y enseguida establecimos una relación estupenda con ellos. Son dos personas realmente especiales. Durante su estancia con nosotros realizaron varios trabajos, tanto con nosotros como individualmente (por ejemplo, completaron la red de senderos de nuestro jardín), siempre con mucho cuidado y dedicación. Avery y Miles son huéspedes muy ordenados y respetuosos, ¡y además cocinaron excelentes especialidades californianas! :) Durante los momentos de convivencia pudimos conocerlos y conversar sobre muchas cosas interesantes y divertidas. Después de solo dos semanas, podemos decir que tenemos dos nuevos amigos que siempre serán bienvenidos en nuestra casa. Gracias, queridos, ¡os deseamos todo lo mejor y mucha suerte!

Felix was an excellent host, extremely polite and kind, friendly and always available, a gracious but never intrusive presence. He was a joker and a conversationalist, always pleasant and willing to participate in family life. Definitely one of the most welcome guests, for him the door is always open. Buon viaggio Felix e buona fortuna!

Nos sentimos afortunados de haber podido tener la oportunidad de hospedar a Sitske por dos semanas. Ella es una persona muy responsable, atenta y, sobre todo, muy cariñosa, que se ganó rápidamente el afecto de todos en la casa. Su estancia fue maravillosa gracias a su disposición y calidez. Esto nos permitió compartir más a fondo nuestra cultura peruana, algo que ella siempre recibió con gran entusiasmo. Sitske siempre será bienvenida en nuestra casa. La recomendamos con muchísima alegría a cualquier anfitrión que busque a una persona fantástica. Le deseamos de todo corazón lo mejor en su camino y un viaje hermoso lleno de éxitos y felicidad.

Ivan and Ceres are passionate folk: passionate about the garden; about people; and, about life. Being here was a full-on experience from the moment they picked me up. I had not realised that syntropic farming was very different from everything I already knew about organic methods of growing and tending the land, and I loved the challenge of learning as I worked. This place is a work in progress as well so it is still being formed, planted and shaped. Ivan is an encyclopᴂdia of information about syntropic farming and generously shared his knowledge all the time. It was wonderful to come out of the Tiny House each morning, step straight into the tasks, and return in the evening with figs, tomatoes, leaves and other food. The Tiny House is not tiny just a lovely place to live! Thank you, Ivan and Ceres, for welcoming me, teaching me, and caring for me while I was with you.

We spent 2 weeks at Lynn‘s in October while she was preparing for an event. This was our first WorkAway and Lynn made us feel very welcome. Her practical daily tasks list meant we were able to get stuck in straight away. As well as the daily jobs, we helped with other projects around the house & garden as well as helping to prepare for a festival Lynn was attending. The work was varied, interesting and flexible. Cooking evening meals on a peat-fired range was an experience! Lynn is an experienced host, self aware and open minded. It was satisfying to contribute and to learn. Lynn's friendly animals are a significant part of any stay here and an inspiration for much of her art. There was fun to be had too - a bonfire gathering of friends & neighbours, shared meals and singing. We would love to volunteer here again in the future. Thank you for a great stay.

Kerem Kerem has been a real joy to have here with us. He's always happy and ready to do whatever task is thrown his way. He's very proactive which is such a welcoming character trait. Kerem's Spanish is advanced and the staff loved him. He was very thoughtful in the house as well and left it spotless. We only wish he could stay longer!!

Ana and Cameron left yesterday…their departure felt as if family or close friends were leaving. I have nothing but positive and complimentary things to say about these guys. Delightful company, fun, interesting, intelligent, well traveled. Anything they were asked to set their hands to they did happily and well. Quick to learn, they adapted to any project that came up. Working together was a pleasure and always with great results. Without doubt, as they continue their world tour, they will embrace everything with open minds and passion. I wish them all the best and very much hope we will meet again.

This is our first workaway experience and it has been fantastic and fulfilled. Celi is an amazing host full of experience. Even though we only stayed with her for a week, we felt that we got to know each other very well. We enjoyed working alongside with Celi, jobs varies from shoveling stones and top soils building a post&rail fence, to making a kitchen cupboard with all recycled materials and moving a garden bed replanting etc.We both felt the sense of achievement after completing the tasks. Celi is a fantastic cook, we enjoyed all her homemade cuisine and meaningful conversation around the dining table with a glass of wine. Thank you Celi so much for sharing this time with us and we wish you good luck on the swimming pool project. All the best,Celi.

Victor est resté quelques semaines pour m’aider sur mon projet et ça s’est super bien passé. On a discuté de sujets très intéressants tout en travaillant sur ma maison ce qui a rendu le temps très sympa. Il est souriant, motivé et attentionné. Je recommande vivement 🤩

Lisa was a super helping hand for us. She got along with the dog, the horses and, not to forget, us very well. She helped in the the stable every morning and with clearing the fences from overgroth, and also with general cleaning jobs arround the house. She cooked delicious meals and like us loved to play card games. We had a good time together and are looking forward to see her back at our place in January again. We wish her a wonderful time and she will sure meet a lot of nice people. We would recomend her to any host.

Seba fue una excelente persona muy colaboradora en sus tareas como voluntario . La pasamos genial en todo momento muy divertido. Lo recomiendo y que tengan la oportunidad de conocerlo.

this guy came as an angel .It was very dificult too handle property situation then he came out of the sky,had no problem with him what so ever ,what i cooked he eats with gratitude ,he helps me with so many chores,he respected every agreement we have ,great companion,with this workaweyer you can expect honest ,good worker that folows the task ,thank you Ezra ,if you are in Croatia please let me know,ho knows ,maybe we go on river mreznica again,peace

I had an absolutely amazing time at Helen's and Gabriel's farm. It is one of the most peaceful places I have visited with beautiful mountains surrounding everything and a very refreshing lake to dive into. But more than that, the people made my time unforgettable. Gabriel is a neverending well of knowledge from philosophy to technical skills to social media trends, there is little he doesn't know, which makes for terrific conversations. On top of that he is a very patient teacher and entrusts Workaways with different responsibilities and tasks- for me I learned a lot about woodworking. Helen is the embodiment of positive energy and I am so happy to have met her and get a taste of her delicious jams:)) Thank you Gabriel and Helen you are truly inspirational and thank you for all the laughs, chats and experiences. I hope to see you again soon:))

We couldn’t have asked for a better Workaway experience! These two are an absolutely wonderful couple — warm, motivated, respectful, and truly a joy to have around. From the very first moment, their positive energy and kindness made every day special. They worked incredibly hard during the olive harvest, always with a smile and great enthusiasm. Whether it was long days in the fields, helping around the house, or sharing moments together at the table, they gave their best in everything and brought so much joy, dedication, and good vibes. We had an amazing time together — we laughed a lot and created memories we will keep forever. It was not just work; it felt like being with friends. We feel truly grateful for their help and for the beautiful spirit they brought into our home. We would recommend them 100% to any host — you will be lucky to have them! We can't wait to welcome them back in March!
