it was one the best experience of my life. I had such a wonderful time at this farm! A huge thank you to Barbara and Bruno for being so kind, welcoming, and attentive — you made me feel at home from the very first moment. Everyone there was absolutely fantastic, including all the staff and workers, who were always smiling and helpful. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and full of good energy. I'definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special and authentic experience.

I spent 10 days with Krishna and Laxmi on their farm. It’s a very beutiful, green place and time moves slower there than in the city. I was warmly welcomed into their home. The work involved a lot of digging, planting and turning over the soil. I was lucky enough to stay for Tihar where we made garlands from marigolds and decorated the house with lights. Krishna kindly took us to a stunning waterfall, a local statue and to the radio centre to watch the sunset. Krishna and Laxmi taught me how to make Sel roti, puri and my favourite - chipati’s. We played nightly card games of pairs, kings corner and uno. Thank you Krishna and Laxmi for a lovely stay!

Beata volunteered with us for two months and became an essential part of our hostel. She is reliable, organized and full of positive energy. Beata helped with welcoming guests, cleaning, organizing, and handling bookings and payments. She learned everything quickly and soon became the person you could turn to when something needed to be fixed. She was always happy to help, and her communication with guests and other volunteers was consistently friendly and positive. Beata worked hard, cared about the people around her, and handled every task with dedication. We were very happy to have her with us and would gladly welcome her back anytime. We think she would be a wonderful addition to any team and highly recommend Beata to any future host.

Paulina & Maciej are gold person. I have very rarely met such young people who are already so mature and responsible. They helped us a lot with the chickens, horses, vegetable garden, gardening, and more. You can trust them 100% — they are truly smart, skilled with their hands, and also friendly and curious. Highly recommended!

Likewise, we can’t believe we didn’t write some feedback for Niamh, Richard & family until now, though we’ve been busy singing their praising and telling everyone we know about our experience with them in April! We had the most amazing time, the house is incredible (as is the workaway accommodation), the animals are gorgeous, the work is satisfying and most of all we were made to feel truly like a part of the family right from the moment we arrived! Absolutely do not hesitate to reach out to Niamh & Richard, you will not regret it! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Sebastián fue un anfitrión excelente! muy amable, atento y siempre pendiente de que cada día fuera cómodo. Trabajar en su proyecto fue una experiencia divertida y enriquecedora. No olvidaré los hermosos amaneceres y atardeceres de ese lugar, que avanza hacia la autosostenibilidad. Conversamos mucho y nunca hubo un momento en el que me sintiera incómoda y aprendiera algo nuevo. Lo recomiendo totalmente y, sin duda, espero volver pronto.

Tine hat während zwei Wochen für unsere Tiere und Pflanzen gesorgt. Sie mag Tiere und sorgte zuverlässig für sie. Die Kommunikation war unkompliziert und unser Verhältnis vertrauensvoll. Wir können Tine weiterempfehlen!

Katrina is a very nice, friendly, relaible and aprochable young woman. She stayed here about 2 weeks and helped a lot in the garden . I also appriciated chatting about our culture and countries. I wish Katrina all the best for her live. Rita

J'ai passé un merveilleux moment avec Monique et une partie de sa famille de passage. Son accueil a été incroyable, l'ambiance très sympa, les lieux sublimes! Le logement est irréprochable également. Quand à la cuisine, une véritable chef. L'un de mes meilleurs workaway, j'espère vraiment pouvoir y retourner rapidement. Monique a été très attentive à ce que je ne manque de rien et s'est assuré que les tâches soient adaptées à mes compétences. Elle aime l'ordre et l'organisation et ça fait du bien ! Je recommande les yeux fermés !

Last summer I volunteered at the surf house and it was an incredible experience. it was my first time volunteering and it was super positive! I felt really great there and always felt at home. I want to thank Ana, Tomi, and Hueso for always making me feel comfortable. Working with you was a real pleasure, thank you so much! Thanks again for the wonderful experience! As for the work, the instructions were always clear, and whenever I had any doubts, they were always resolved with kindness and willingness to help. Corralejo is such a lively place, and it was so easy to make friends, I highly recommend volunteering here! Chiara :)

Betül, Cuneyt, and Umay must be the ultimate example of Turkish hospitality. They are down to earth, warm, welcoming and incredibly generous. Their cozy home is also in a great location, which only made staying with them that much more enjoyable :) Also - my Bursa tip for anyone who are lucky enough to stay with Betül, Cuneyt, and Umay, is to go up the Uludag mountain with the gondolas. SUCH beautiful views, and the air up there is just so fresh!

My stay started and ended with poutine, and in between there were lots of peppers. Thankfully, I arrived during the harvest season and got to see the incredible variety of peppers and dared the other volunteers to eat them. This is definitely the place to try all kinds of flavors, but don’t make the same mistake I did and try them all in one day. From day one, the family made me feel like part of them. Marie, with her bright and warm personality, Francis, who will fill your days with stories and share his love for everything pickled, and their adorable daughter Nynka, full of energy, who will help you with your French and probably invite you to her room to try out all sorts of games. And not to forget Bob, the skeleton. Here, you can experience the life of small-scale producers and follow the journey of a market from start to finish. The workdays can sometimes be long, so clear communication about expectations and schedules helps make the most of the experience. Since you live very closely with the family, you also see many personal moments, which makes the experience quite intense but very real and authentic. The farm is located next to a busy road and a bit far from the next train station, so it’s good to plan your trips in advance or share rides with other volunteers. I’ll be forever grateful for this experience, living the daily life of a Québec family, including go-karting and rollercoasters, playing Super Mario and guitar, autumn leaves and pumpkins, local beers and Twisted Tea, and countless stories.

My stay with Lars was very nice! This was my first workaway and it was a lovely place to start! I was there two and a half weeks in oktober, for me that was perfect. Lars is a fun and chatty person, he does his best to make the stay as fun and personalised als possible. The dogs are absolutely amazing to! Lars explains well what he expects of the work and so it's easy to do. The work is not a lot about 3 hours a day, maybe the one day more and the other less. It also varies alot with I enjoyed. It's nice to have your own room so you can pull back if you need it. The dinners at his parents house was also really great, they are super nice! Overal I really enjoyed my time with Lars and the sweets dogs ever! :)

This last summer I spent two amazing weeks at Nyord with Marianne and Kenneth. My stay there was brief but intense positively as I had the chance and freedom to explore and be on my own. There were always some tasks to do at the house, so getting bored wasn't an option. Furthermore, Marianne and Kenneth was always there to help you if needed and since the very beginning I got there I felt welcome. I keep in mind some funny memories with them. I truly learned a lot there and I would recommend it to anyone without doubt if any hesitation.

Ellie is an amazing person. From the moment she arrived, she connected deeply with the children of Las Lomas. We are truly grateful for everything she contributed to our little school — from teaching English to helping with surf and sandboarding activities. We also really appreciate the time she took to get to know each of the kids, and for joining us every morning in the beautiful act of planting a tree. 🌱 We are so thankful for her love, energy, and commitment. We hope to see her again someday. Without a doubt, we highly recommend Ellie — she is a wonderful, kind, and truly bright soul. ❤️❤️

I really enjoyed my stay at the farm, which is peaceful and surrounded by the forest. After a short time of adaptation I was trusted with tasks and given a lot of autonomy. I learned a lot during the three weeks, and I enjoyed the season change during my time there. I loved taking care of all the animals, and feeding bread to the chickens in the morning was one of my favorite moments of the day, as well as taking the dogs for a walk, they were so happy. I also liked learning how to play Skyjo and our painting time together. I am grateful for the experience and would totally recommend it :)

Max es una persona increíble. Se adaptó muy rápido a nuestro ambiente y desde el primer día mostró una gran energía y disposición para ayudar. Es una persona muy amable, alegre y cariñosa con los niños. Nos apoyó en la creación de clases de ingles , en las actividades de surf y sandboarding , tambien ha plantar arboles, siempre con entusiasmo y compromiso. Sin duda, Max es un voluntario excepcional, lleno de buena vibra y ganas de aportar. ¡Estamos muy agradecidos por todo lo que hizo por nuestra comunidad y los niños! 🌿

Maeva is a lovely and creative person. She helped us at the beginning of her time here in Australia, and her English proficiency then was low. Accordingly, her ability to communicate and understand was affected by this. She’s a very diligent and thorough worker, but perhaps overly so, because she was quite slow. I suspect that with time, all of these elements will improve. We wish her all the best on her travels.

We can’t believe we didn’t write this feedback much sooner — it completely slipped our minds! What an amazing couple Amy and Max are. They stayed with us at the start of this year, and it was such a wonderful experience to welcome them into our home. Amy and Max are super friendly, great fun, and a pleasure to have around. They were always willing to help with everything a busy house and yard can throw your way. This was our very first Workaway experience, and it couldn’t have been more positive. They are super hardworking, sociable, flexible, and incredibly helpful. They truly integrated into our family, and we were all so sad to say goodbye. We can’t recommend Amy and Max highly enough — any host would be lucky to have them!

I had a lovely few weeks with Giulia, Roberto, Mattia and Andrea (and their 4 wonderful animals!). They were very welcoming and their apartment is so gorgeous - Giulia has great style! They welcomed me as part of the family, and don't forget their 4 pets too! I loved having cat cuddles at any possible free moment in the day. I was grateful to have a nice comfortable room. I also tried lots of delicious food! (Best arancini ever!) I don't eat much meat but Giulia was very accommodating. I also loved doing English lessons with her. She is a lovely person and I enjoyed her enthusiasm for learning English, even when it was hard, as well as being in her company. They live in the city centre (as stated) but there are great transport links to elsewhere in Sicily. You are assured to feel welcomed and cared for in their home. Thanks so much! <3
