We absolutely loved having Caitlin and Jordan with us! They were amazing volunteers, super helpful, kind, and full of good energy. They fit right in with our team and made a real difference in the daily life of the hostel. Everything they did, they did with a smile. We’ll miss them and hope to see them again someday! Highly recommended to any future hosts!

Noah est un excellent collègue qui nous a apporté toute l'aide dont nous avions besoin, rapidement et efficacement (jardinage, potager, ménage, rangement, déménagement, etc.). C'était sa première expérience avec Workaway, et je suis certain qu'il en fera beaucoup d'autres, car il est vivement recommandé. I just finished my time with Louise and Raymond’s family, and I’m very happy with the experience I had. From the very first day, they welcomed me with so much kindness and warmth, and truly made me feel part of the family. We worked together, facing the challenges of daily life. I’ll always treasure the time spent with each of the kids — cooking with Lexie, organizing the wardrobe with Scarlett, making huge progress in math with Sadie, and having our morning chats with Leo. I was happy to help around the house, and we managed to find a nice balance between the daily routine and my time to explore and discover every corner of London. I’m deeply grateful for everything — for the care, the trust, the laughter, and the feeling of home they gave me. They are my family in London. I’ll always carry these memories in my heart, and I’d love to see them again someday.

We had a great time at Francesco’s for a week. We spent time harvesting olives, doing light construction, gardening and doing general maintenance of the land. Francesco made us feel so welcome and at home, included us and let us work on what we felt we would be good at or enjoy. We loved meal times together with him and the other volunteers, genuinely sharing life stories and getting to know each other. The location was beautiful and spoiled us with stunning sunsets and starry nights. A truly special place and a chapter of our travels we will always remember. Thanks again Francesco!

Thank you Babs for the great time Lenny and me had at your finca! You welcomed us with the smile and the good energy and made us feel good from the start. You are very easy going and inspiring at the same time :) Discussing with you and the other volunteers you gathered around your community project was always pleasant and interesting, plus we had some good laughs ! I really liked the tasks you were asking us to do cause they were always different, from little jobs on the house to cooking to olive harvest and our own olive oil. I would recommend your place to anybody who's interested in eco-friendly way of life and simple happiness but also who likes working outside with their hands you are welcome in Leysin whenever you want to go skiing with the two best instructors i know ;) Thank you again Babs and lick Lola for me please ;)

Charlotte a passé une semaine chez nous en septembre. Nous nous sommes très bien entendus. Nous avons eu de très bonnes discussions et partagé nos expériences de voyages . Charlotte nous a bien aidé dans le jardin, malgré la météo pluvieuse et dans la maison, pour l’entretien, les confitures....elle est très dynamique et souriante et j’espère que nous nous reverrons. Charlotte tu es la bienvenue chez nous!

Valentín's visit was really pleasant. He is a young man full of interests, kind, friendly, and always willing to help. It's not common to find a young person with such clear projects, enlightening thoughts, as well very attached to his family You will always be welcome if you decide to come back. Good life!!

It was such a pleasure having David and Yanli stay! They really helped me out at a time when I was a bit stuck with a few projects and needed some extra hands and expertise. Dave absolutely saved the day with the post and rail fence and even brought to life a cupboard idea I’d been dreaming about, all from recycled materials. He was always thoughtful and checked in to make sure things were just how I wanted — such care and attention to detail! Yanli was wonderful in the garden — moving plants, filling beds, shifting soil and stones, and generally helping keep everything flowing beautifully. They were both so easy-going, kind, and respectful, and Lulu the dog adored them (as did I!). We shared lovely meals, great chats over a glass of wine, and plenty of laughter. I really missed them when they left — such a lovely couple to have around. 💛

Truly an incredible experience that I'd recommend to anyone ready to roll up their sleeves and ACTUALLY be part of something impactful. I spent 5 weeks at the center and got to finally live my childhood dreams of looking after wildlife and learning hands-on from a team of seasoned experts. All the staff were incredible. Mel, Sharon, Emma, and Anne - thank you for so selflessly including me in everything and accommodating my schedule. It was such a huge honor to learn from you, become your friend, and share so many laughs. Julie - thanks for being such an incredible leader and person. I appreciated every moment with you guys, and really hope to be back someday. THANK YOU!

I stay for a month...was me firt experiencie like a voluntier with workaway, in the begining was tuff ( only the firts days) then i feel at home...they was very flexible with the work you coud organice your self around how ever you like...the nature around the House And foresh was very nice, always plenty of food in the kitchen , the even got the own gym, you might have to work by your self because they are working in then own Jobs...but you get use to And i enjoy It a lot...i feel thankfull Thank for the nice oportunity

Melle stayed at our home for almost two weeks in October to take care of our two Dalmatians while we went on vacation. I felt very comfortable leaving my two dogs with her. The dogs loved her at once and you could tell that Melle loves dogs as well. Melle is a very nice and reliable young woman, so whenever you need a petsitter you should reach out to her :) Welcome back any time, Melle!

Elise has been helping me for my last week and luckily she could assist and helping me finishing faster the last jobs I had to do, I recommend here as she is supportive, agreeable and a good company, thanks!

I spent two weeks with Vera and Yohann’s family – one week taking care of their lovely dog Toopy while they were on holiday, and another week together after they returned home. From the first day, Vera, Yohann, Maximilian, Felix, Yasmine, and Toopy made me feel truly welcome and comfortable. They are a lively, dynamic family full of energy, interesting ideas, and exciting projects. The food was fantastic, and the surrounding nature is magnificent – a perfect place to recharge and enjoy peaceful countryside life. I warmly recommend a Workaway stay with this family!

All was fine. I spend on Amorgos October 2025. My accomondation was even better then expected and decribed. I had a separate room with toilet. Litsa make hard and never ending work to help animals with no chance to take long hollidays and to leave it for more days. I am back home for 2 days and I already miss all cats, Ira lovelly dog and all donkeys. It was my first trip with Workaway and it was very interesting to get many new experiences and informations from abroad about local animals help but about local life also... I am 62 years old and never is too late to start :-). Thanks Litsa for all.

After a very few days we arrived Satzuski's, Robert's, Kaimu's and Hanon's house, we felt we were sailing on the same boat. Floating on ideas, thoughts, dreams and actions we understood at once. Each one had it's task to do, to blow the sails in a direction we wanted the boat to go. We all still have to navigate, but we know we are not alone, even living Kilometers far away. Satzuski and Rob have the great and quite rare quality to listen. Of course they are very hospitable and open minded. Their eyes want to meet other eyes without any fear. They give a free opportunity to feel at home and to try to make the already nice place more beautiful, more comfortable, more able to welcome people again and again. In these days, talking with friends about our stay in Isumi, one of the first thing that comes up is that we have been so lucky to meet local people, to be part of a community, beyond the differences. Naturally and simply. Thanks to all of you. We know we would like to cross our roads or waves again.

We spent only 3 weeks - but for the impact our short time there left on us, it felt like so much more. Our most educational, hands-on and fulfilling time on our travels so far. Ellen and Nico are a powerhouse of expertise and passion, and are equally unfailingly generous in sharing their knowledge and infectious enthusiasm (in everything, from agroforestry, to specialty coffee, to the sacred art of tapioca). They were incredibly encouraging to explore as much of the Amazon and its amazing communities as possible. They recommended and helped us arrange trips out on our days off, and kindly let us tag along on any trips and meetings they had at the communities. The work is fun and rewarding. The dogs and cats will steal you heart. This is an unforgettabley magical place and project to be a part of. We hope to see you all again in the future 😊

Cristina is an incredible host! She was really kind and welcoming, we shared nice conversations, recipes, cooked together.. Her house and her garden are amazing; it was very nice to take care of it, and her dogs are super sweet and lovely. She gave us many recommendations on beautiful spots to visit and made us feel just like at home! I loved the experience and highly reccomend it!

My time at the Hostel was truly special. It's a small and cozy place where the team and guests quickly become close, so you feel right at home from day one. We share meals, went for coffee and dinner, movie nights, played cards almost every night and often went out together to explore Dubrovnik. It felt more like living in a family than volunteering at a hostel. Ana is a generous, wonderful and caring host, who gives you a lot trust and freedom. She lets you work independently and make your own routines together with the team. The atmosphere among the volunteers was amazing. Fun, supportive and full of laughter. I'm so grateful for my time here and for the people I met. The hostel is perfectly located in the Old Town, close to everything, and Dubrovnik itself is absolutely beautiful. I can recommend this place to anyone who wants a warm, independent and social volunteering experience and I'd love to return next year.

I’ve been hosting for about 7 years and had had predominantly lovely folk come and contribute to our off grid smallholding. 95% of Workaways become friends and 25% come back over the years . Ellie is one of the Workaways that arrives and blows you away with their energy , enthusiasm, creativity, engagement, friendship, team work and competence. We all LOVED her ! So without writing an essay I think whoever is reading this gets the gist and if you’re lucky enough to have Ellie contact you , the universe is in obviously being very good to you.

Une abbaye où l’on rencontre beaucoup de personnes agréables et leurs histoires de vie, si vous êtes curieux de la vie. L’ambiance et l’environnement sont calmes et naturels. En dehors du travail, vous pouvez passer du temps entouré par la nature. J’ai aimé lire, écrire dehors et écouter les sons de la nature. Le travail à l’abbaye n’est pas difficile. Il y a aussi de l’espace pour apprendre des mots de français spécifiques. J’ai beaucoup profité de mon temps à l’abbaye. L’expérience a été au-delà de mon imagination. C’était un séjour inoubliable de six semaines.
