Wow Louis..! You are the longest staying volunteer at our farm so far..! But honestly, 2 months passed by so quickly and we felt sad seeing you leave. Louis contributed a lot towards the farm maintenance.. apart from the normal work around the farm, he took on projects to repair floor cracks at the open hall, reinforced the stream sides from being further eroded, helped trap chicken to sell and assisted the rafting trip for our guests. Thank you Louis.. highly recommended to host him. We would welcome him back anytime..!

Marie!! So so sorry for the late feedback. I helped Marie in Mai and I've spent a week there, I've done some painting, exterminating some briars, lawn mowing, cleaning hens house etc.. I've felt so welcomed right away, I was happy to help with French exercising, cooking some meals and we had really good and interesting chat all together. A lovely family. And what about the scenery!!!!!!! not enough exclamations marks it's just stunning, gorgeous mind blowing!! If you're seeking good company, tranquility, love to hike, and a true Irish experience.... well you know where to go. Thanks again for everything to both of you, everything was perfect. And! I've forgotten they also drove me along the coast and some beautiful beaches. Love from France

Tenerla en casa ha sido una gran experiencia. Ha colaborado en todo lo que se le ha propuesto con eficiencia y agrado. Nos ha dado tristeza despedirla. Nuestra puertas quedan abiertas para cuando quiera volver.

Charlotte took a great care of us, with a nice accommodation, helping us whenever we needed and about anything. We had great conversations with her as well, and could appreciate how passionate she is with her projects and lifestyle. Thank you very much !

Qui a été très agréable pour moi également, on sera venu à bout des ronces et bien avancé dans le ponçage et nettoyage. Laurence est une hôte très agréable avec de bonnes discussions, elle saura vous driver comme il faut pour l'aider au mieux dans ses projets. Elle vit dans une très belle maison avec encore du travail à faire et un très beau et grand extérieur en nature ou vous pouvez observer beaucoup d'oiseaux, de biche et un magnifique coucher de soleil tout les soirs. Merci encore pour les dégustations (on mange très bien avec beaucoup de produits maison!!) Bonne continuation à toi aussi et si je suis de passage dans le coin je viendrai te rendre une visite avec plaisir.

Elle has been here during two weeks. Really GREAT! She´s a lovely girl, very cheerful, loves to work in the garden, does all the heavy stuff that comes to hand and is easy going. These two weeks have gone by very fastly. She invited a good friend of hers, Rose. Rose worked also very hard and was a joy to have around. Elle can handle very well all the machinery that we use in the garden, like a brush cutter etc. but also had a good eye for the details. The garden looks marvellous now. We really hope she´ll come again soon. We wish her a great time doing Workaway in Spain during her travel. Thank you very very much, Elle. You´re always welcome here! Elle maneja muy bien toda la maquinaria que usamos en el jardín, como la desbrozadora etc., y además tiene muy buen ojo para los detalles. El jardín está precioso ahora. Esperamos que vuelva pronto. I stayed a wonderful week in lovely house and beautiful nature. I helped gardening,weeding and picking beans with Monika. I learned many things about gardening from her. Her cooking was amazing! Especially the yogurt and salad — they were my favorites. The raclette we shared together was also incredibly delicious. After dinner, we often talked about many different things. She is such a wonderful and inspiring person. I really connected with her values and way of thinking, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. During the week, I was surrounded by the beautiful nature of Switzerland and felt so healed. It was a very special time for me. Thank you so much for everything.

Guga is an amazing host. I stayed in the camp for a month and mostly worked in the garden. Place is beautiful and absolutely worth it ❣️

I stayed for two weeks in a beautiful area surrounded by nature. I helped with cleaning the shower rooms for the campsite, weeding, and picking beans. I’m excited to see how the new shower building will look once it’s completed! When I was feeling down, they were always supportive and kind to me. I’m truly grateful for my time here. The meals every day were absolutely delicious(especially life changing tofu😁) Thank you so much for everything. I had a wonderful experience!

Uni’s project is really cool, the location is STUNNING, and the buildings and gardens are very special. Uni has a wealth of information that she is really eager and generous to share. We learned lots about local wild greens, Korean food and cooking, and oh my goodness she is an incredible chef. We (and the other volunteer present) encountered some interpersonal issues with Uni. * Her communication style was at times vague, incomplete, erratic, or accusatory. * We found her mood to be unpredictable, sometimes kind and cheerful, other times abrupt and rude. * Rules would change from day to day, depending on her mood. This inconsistency left us confused and unsure what the next moment would bring. * More than once she shouted and was aggressive. [redacted] To us this behaviour doesn’t align with the Workaway ethos/spirit, it felt more like a boss to worker dynamic. We are conscientious workers, we don’t slack off, and we treat the property and hosts with respect. We hope for kindness and respect in return. We were hesitant to leave this feedback, but we think it’s very important that true experiences are shared to help both host and upcoming volunteers. We do wish Uni the best and we genuinely did have some wonderful times with her. (20th April - 5th May 2025)

I had a lovely time staying & working at this place. The location is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, it's quite remote so beneficial to have a car, but as I did not I loved spending a lot of my down time walking and relaxing at the nearby beach/creek & soaking up the environment, and even managed to hitchhike further up towards Cape Trib with some wonderful guests a few times. The work was fair (general housekeeping/cleaning each day) and the time off was plentiful. Meals were delicious. Sally & Steve are down to earth, genuine, busy people, and time spent chatting with them was always lovely. The guests and others volunteering/staying on site contributed to making it a good time. I was stoked to learn a lot about the abundance of plants and wildlife around that I'd never seen before - the property is a special and unique jungle paradise that feels very real & non-commercial, the family-run feel runs through it. Thank you both so much for having me.

Tesni was a dream. She brought generous helping hands, a creative mind, and a loving heart. Oh and lots of laughter haha! We are grateful to have hosted Tesni for what seemed like not long enough this summer. She is an overqualified dream team player. Thank you and all the best on the journey. I will remember fondly our 4 hour long rope untangling fun, Sour Kraut parties, Cobb floor making, Yummy lunches, and so much laughter.

When i brought Sören back to the train station, i said "i really don't think, this is the last time we see each other". he stayed at our place for around 4 weeks, and this was enough time to get to know each other quite well, learn, share, work, cook and have interesting talks about everything together Sören, you are a very thoughtful and pleasant person and I thank you for all the help as well as your contribution to a good group spirit during the renovation project I really hope, that we see each other again in the future and i can imagine that you want to see the apartment, which you mainly helped to break down, when it's done and occupied by a young family

Taichi was a pleasure to have here. He was very capable and competent and easily fitted in to our strange eating times, regimes. He worked extremely efficiently and unsupervised at any requested task. He also showed an interest in Permaculture Principles and had a ready grasp on them. All round a pleasure to be with AND he cooked us a couple of wonderful Japanese dishes.

Lucas was here at the last minute (to fill in a gap in his schedule) for a week and I am so glad he reached out. He is a very hard worker and very pleasant to have around. I wish I could remember everything he did - it was a lot! He stacked a cord of firewood in record time, split a couple of boxes of kindling which will last me a long time, weeded veggie gardens, dug a trench for a water line, took some big rocks down to the riverbank to help stabilize the bank, harvested apples ... He was neat and clean in the guest suite and I really hope he comes back in the Spring!

Thank you, Mac, for everything! You’re the best surfer and always inspire me to enjoy every wave. I felt like home. He took me all around the island, showing me so many special places. I loved everything we saw and everything we did together—it was unforgettable. It’s been 4 months since I left Kaua‘i, but I still miss it every day!

I had a great time staying near Esperance with Merrilee and Pamela for a few days. Merrilee was very welcoming and accomodating, and gave me a great place to stay in her new shed. I helped with setting up the shed, watering, and installing a water pump. The work was good was done in the morning, with the rest of the day left to explore the surroundings and rest. Merrilee lent me her bike, which was great to ride around the coast with and explore Esperance. Merrilee was great at catering for my dietary preferences, and we ate nutritious quality food everyday, including eggs from her chickens and greens from her garden, which I'm very grateful for. I had not originally planned on staying in Esperance for the amount of time that I did, and only contacted her when I arrived. But Merrilee was very quick to reply and I was at her property the day I contacted her, which helped me out a great deal. Thank you for your hospitality and good luck on your future projects!

Hafed has been helpful throughout his time with us. He demonstrates a strong work ethic and always makes sure that everything is done perfectly. He was always willing to help wherever needed, showing great initiative and a positive attitude. It was truly a pleasure having him here.

Manon and Alexandre were such a great help to me, and my dogs. They were very organized, and communicate with me on a regular basis, making sure the dogs had the proper food and walks. They were able to help me create an information flyer for future volunteers, which has been very useful. Manon and Alexandre kept the bungalow nice and clean, as well as the gardens around the area. They were well liked by the local community, and fitted in well, buying supplies and interacting with the local shops and market stalls. This is very much appreciated, as Kuraburi is a very local town, and locals do not see very many foreigner's! I would highly recommend Manon and Alexandre for any project you may have, as they were reliable, trustworthy and very friendly, and willing to help with any tasks.
