Brooks and Dylan came to help me with various renovation tasks in an old house. They are both enthusiastic, autonomous, courageous, and resourceful. They are also careful, attentive, and quick to learn new things. What's more, they are interesting people. I had a great week with them. I had an extraordinary and unique experience with Neri and his uncle Dory! They really helped me appreciate Albania! They can recommend some great hikes. I received a perfect welcome, and the bedding, food, and communication were impeccable! And if you're interested in learning how to milk goats and cows, this is the place to go! You'll have the opportunity to take care of sheep, cows, and chickens in the mountains. And why not even build some small outdoor structures to welcome visitors?! Welcome to the world of these two kind-hearted people who are able to show you so much! I highly recommend them!

Jiri was an absolute pleasure to host! He is polite, calm, smart, respectful and has a wonderful sense of humor! Everything he puts his hands on turns out great — he’s skilled, motivated, strong, and always sees each task through to the end. We were truly impressed by his attitude and abilities, and so grateful for all his help. It was a real joy to have him with us, and we can wholeheartedly recommend him to any future host. Having Erika here with us these past two weeks has been an absolute joy. From the very first day, she brought so much positivity, energy, and laughter into our home. She’s always in a good mood, full of humor and warmth, and instantly became part of our family. Erika is incredibly proactive — she notices things that need to be done and takes care of them even before I have to ask. She’s been a huge help in every possible way, and her initiative and reliability made everything run so smoothly. But what truly touched my heart the most is how amazing she’s been with the kids. They completely fell in love with her! She has such a natural connection with them, full of patience, kindness, and fun. We’re already planning for her to come back, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Erika will always have a place in our home and in our hearts. 💕 I highly, highly recommend her to any host, you’ll be lucky to have her!

Mayan was an excellent and diligent worker with artistic, gardening, cooking and needlework skills which were a great contribution. We also learnt a lot of fascinating things anout the New South Africa. Very empathetic and kind with our dog and cats

Alicia is an impressive young woman! We rarely host workawayers under 20, but in her case we made an exception — and we’re so glad we did! We had a wonderful time with Alicia. She’s polite, funny, hardworking, learns quickly, comes up with great ideas, and is simply a lovely person to have around. We were amazed by the amount of experience she’s already gathered at such a young age — from living with host families to abroad adventures and working gigs. You can really tell she’s traveled and lived with different families before; she adapts easily and fits right in. We’d be happy to welcome her back anytime!

We volunteer as spanish teachers in Kelaa Sraghna between 01/10/2025 and 26/10/2025. This was one of the most rewarding experiences of our lifes, not only because It was our first workaway, also we felt warmly welcomed by the local community, specially by Hassan (the coordinator who guided us during the stay). The experience was not only educational, also we learned amazigh and morrocan culture and language from the locals and italian and german from other volunteers while we were sharing our spanish customs. Hassan introduced us into the morrocan daily life, from local markets to interesting conversations about history and customs, including visits to a nearby festival and local monuments. The spanish classes were very easy going: the students had very different levels (from absolute beginners to being able to have a full conversation in spanish) so the classes had to be adapt to that. In any case, the oficial spanish teacher Noureddine was a very educated and professional man and gave us help to prepare and organize some of the classes. This experiences has enriched us both in a personal and profesional level. We left Kelaa with unforgettable memories and a heart full of gratitude. We can't not to mention great people and friends that we made during that month, from the workers and students: Abderrahim (the other volunteering protect's coordinator), Yassamine, Rachid, Hassan (the student), Yassine, Ayoub and Abdelmoula to other volunteers: Jacopo, Malte and Martje. We would recommend this volunteer program to anyone seeking meaningful cultural inmersion and language teaching. We hope to come back very soon!

This was by far one of the most memorable experiences of our lives, in the best way. David is a great guy, he is easy going and kind, but also extremely intelligent and interesting. He lives an inspiring lifestyle; you are bound to learn a lot and have an amazing time with him. We were lucky enough to stay on his sailboat and join him and his friends in a regatta. Leaving was hard, we truly could not be more grateful for our time in the very beautiful Mali Losinj, and I can't recommend this workaway more.

Zoe is a fantastic young lady, very very intelligent, polite, calm and has a great attitude to life,work and enjoying herself. Zoe was quick to pick up the tasks and did them promptly and with an excellent eye for detail. On quieter days Zoe liked to bake bread or make pizzas and always had a plan for her day. Zoe fitted in with everyone she met young or old and was full of conversation about any subject and a willingness to learn about many things and share her thoughts. Zoe relaxed into the English ways and loved to explore the cities and nature around. Zoe had a open mind and was a great workawayer. My time here in the hostel was amazing! Christophe is a great host and we had a good time together. The hostel is a great place to stay for a solo traveller because of its welcoming atmosphere and the many spaces to socialize. Besides the living room, there is a balcony where you can chill out and make friends, a rooftop terrace (actually for smokers but also nice to hangout and chat) and of course the bar that is part of the hostel and hosts many events (Karaoke Night, Language Exchange) where you can get to know the guests of the hostel better or meet other people of Medellín. I also loved to watch football in the bar (shows all the Barça games or games of belgian teams in CL). Besides this, the hostel offers a variety of activities like ping pong or table football and free entrance to a nearby sport area that includes a swimming pool, fitness and ball sports. For sure you won't get bored here. The hostel is very well located (only 5 mins from the metro station Floresta) and from there you can reach the center or comuna 13 with only one metro (5-10 mins) and La 70 (a great area to go out with many bars and clubs) is only one metro station away. In the same street of the metro stations there are many stores, farmacies and supermarkets where you can buy your daily needs. The work is split in 4 shifts between 11am and 7am (5h per day, 5 days per week) and is not too difficult. Basically it contains recepcion work but also cleaning the kitchen, the bathrooms and public areas. The shifts change so you don't have to work everyday during the night or during the afternoon. They are also flexible if you tell them early that one day you are not available for a shift. All together I had an amazing time in Medellín, made a lot of friends and I totally recommend to volunteer in this hostel.

I had such a great experience here… I even ended up staying a few extra weeks :) it was my first workaway experience and it will certainly be hard to top! Amy and Ken were great hosts and I would highly recommend.

Fue mi primera experiencia de Workawayer realmente maravillosa !! Yoev es una persona extraordinaria de una bondad increíble, divertido, amable, explica perfectamente el trabajo a hacer y acepta ideas es un hombre relajado y trabajar en su granja fue algo que disfrute mucho. Aloja gente de todas las nacionalidades viví en su granja poco mas de 3 semanas conocí muchas personas, un autentico y bello intercambio cultural !! Yoev a todos nos dedico su tiempo, consejos , historias de vida hermosas. Nos juntábamos en cenas exquisitas preparadas por Yoev, gran cocinero disfrutando de su terraza o su casa todos contando nuestras vivencias. Ademas tuve el placer de conocer a sus padres y amigos , un regalo extra en la aventura donde Yoev cocino también y todos nos conocimos y compartimos momentos muy gratos. Tanto su casa , como los lugares donde hospedarse y toda la granja son muy lindos . Heevi el perro amigable de todos los que pasamos por ahi. y sus gatos fueron mis compañeros de casa . Mientras yo estuve comparti con otros workawayer nos llevo de paseo, conocimos los alrededores y la pase fenomenal, lo recomiendo como anfitrión !! Una experiencia que guardo en mi corazon para siempre! TOTALMENTE AGRADECIDA de haber conocido a Yoev, su familia y su granja

Cheshta is a very nice and positive-thinking girl. She is also very responsible and helped us with many things — watering plants, cooking, and more. My mom celebrated her birthday while Cheshta was here, and she even arranged a small celebration that made my mom so happy. She is very kind and always has a smile on her face. During her stay, she also became one of my mom’s good friends. We enjoyed a lot while she was staying with us. She taught us many good things about Indian culture and introduced us to some delicious Indian food. We can definitely and highly recommend her to future hosts

I had an amazing time with Zied and all of the people involved, it was a truly memorable experience with the real people of Tunisia, the festival was fantastic , food,music dancing and with so much going on it was hard to keep up. The hospitality of the locals was warm and welcoming and the food was delicious, rooms are basic and functional with everything you need. From building the tents to chopping vegetables it was a busy and activities available are hiking,cycling, zip wire and camping to name a few, it was a rewarding weekend and I thank Zied and all involved for giving me the opportunity to take part. Reut was a fantastic volunteer for three weeks after a smooth trial week that set the perfect tone, and what a relief i felt! I was panicking at first about a vegan dropping into our Cretan feast of grilled meats and cheese mountains, picturing her surviving on air and good intentions like a sad salad monk. But nope, our shared Mediterranean magic kicked in with olive oil rivers, veggie bonanzas, and herb explosions that had her beaming brighter than a sun ripened tomato :) She integrated seamlessly with the group, bringing her warm Haifa vibes that felt like a natural extension of our local ways, close enough to spark easy laughs, different enough to share cool cultural twists. Reut tackled every task at her own steady pace, always delivering spot on results with quiet efficiency and a team player spirit. Her first Workaway? She made it look effortless and left us all richer for it. Thanks for the energy, Reut yasou and salutes back!

We had a really nice time at Regula's place. She was really kind and we also had some interesting conversations with her youngest son. The environment was also nice and working outside was great😊 Would highly recommend to other workawayers🤗

Maddy was an absolute gem to host! She fit into our family like she always belonged here. Maddy is a hard worker, absolutely hilarious, has the best vibe, is easy going, very respectful and mature too. She was a solid worker and helped us immensely with the care of our horses, our foster puppy, and daily house tasks. I’d highly recommend Maddy!
