Tammy stayed with us almost three months and was very helpful with organizing the volunteers and overseeing the housekeeping, as well as the preparations for our chat sessions. She is a native speaker from USA with a very clear and understandable accent, a kind personality, and many stories to share with the group. Tammy was also able to take charge of our group activity sessions and plan her own activities, questions, and games. She is an excellent guest and a responsible, clean guest.

Logan has been a great asset to us. He is a diligent hard worker and wasn't fazed when we had to build a dry stone wall around the property.He managed to search the land for the right bits of stone (including huge pieces)proving himself to be invaluable to our project.He is calm thoughtful and very easy to get along with. I highly recommend Logan to any hosts along the way.Good luck in your travels.

From the moment my daughter and best friend, Amy, and I arrived in Sept-Îles, our host Océane welcomed us warmly and made sure we were comfortable at Auberge Les Tangon. She and Ingrid, the hardworking and creative director, made us feel like part of their team and family. They included us in musical gatherings and shared meals, provided cozy lodging, and ensured a generous meal budget. Paul, the multi-talented handyman, kept everything running smoothly, and together the team took great pride in maintaining one of the best auberges in the Côte-Nord region. When Amy fell ill and was hospitalized, their kindness went above and beyond—they visited the hospital, translated for doctors, and covered our duties so I could be with her. We loved the auberge’s eclectic charm and the genuine care of everyone there. Even after Amy had to return to the U.S. for treatment, they stayed in touch and reassured us we’re always welcome back. We miss them dearly and are so grateful for their generosity and friendship.

We had an amazing time with the team, having joined them for around six weeks. We mainly took photos, did some administrative work, and helped out with babysitting (we miss you, Malik!!). Everyone was super friendly, and the guys were always up for a chat and language exchange. It was a wonderful opportunity where we got to learn how to kitesurf in the beautiful Red Sea. Staying with Alison and Sisma, Thomas and Charly at her wonderful place was great. She made me feel welcome from the first moment we met. I enjoyed the talks we had, the lovely food and joining her for the yoga classes. Alison is a lovable and caring person. I am truly grateful for the time we spent together

I stayed almost 2 months at Tanya's place and I had a great time! She's an amazing person, truly fun and funny, always willing to teach me something new and always up for a good chat! She's also flexible with the work schedule which was perfect because I had my online classes to attend and she was very understanding about that! I also got to spend a lot of time together with my boyfriend and I loved that! I helped her with tasks around the house and with outside work in her yard and at her property in the countryside of Texas, which is really beautiful and peaceful! Tanya became a friend to me and hopefully we'll keep seeing each other and hanging out in the future! I feel now I have a place to come back here in Fort Worth, Texas! 💛✨

This was my first Workaway experience and I couldn't have had a better time. Tuba, Gard and the rest of the family are some of the warmest people I ever met and they made me feel incredibly welcome and appreciated. I stayed in Balestrand for one month and did a lot of different tasks, mostly outdoors, which was really enjoyable. As I visited here during the harvesting period, I picked plums, pears and a lot of apples and I of course I got to taste everything as well. During my stay I got to know everything I wanted to know about Balestrand, the families' history, growing fruit and making delicious cider, chocolate, jam and a lot more. In my spare time I did a lot of hiking in the surrounding mountains, swimming in the fjord, nature photography and took some trips with the family. I don't have enough words to describe how much I enjoyed my time here and I can't thank everyone enough for making it this memorable. It truely feels like a got a second home in Norway now :) If you are looking for a place where there is always something going on and you can take some initiative, then you are going to have an amazing time here. Tusen takk, Tuba and Gard. We will definitely meet again in the future!

Words cannot describe how enriched you'll leave this ranch! Greg and Amanda, along with Jim and Linda foster the warmest environment for you to be immersed into. They are all fantastic teachers, and dedicate their time and knowledge into explaining the reasoning behind the things they do. There's plenty to learn when working here, however the admiration is behind the patience and understanding they have while you grow along side their operation. Their ranch is truely a staple in the cattle society and is reflected in the cattle they produce in both their purebred and commercial sides. There's never a dull moment on the ranch and always something you can get side quested on job wise, Greg and Amanda enforce a team environment and get amongst it with you. The cattle are excellently looked after and this reflects in their behaviour and demeanour towards people, the heart of their operation are the bulls and their sale - the attention to detail and love poured into each sale and care for their customers / the needs of their customers is outstanding. I can preach it until the cows come home; I don't think you could ever stay with kinder people than these if you are fortunate enough to do so through work-away. The exchange I had will forever be memorable and left an ever lasting impression. I'll always be thinking of Linda's lunches, Jims stories / jokes, Greg & Amanda's hospitality and grace along with my rapidly developing golf skills.

my stay with Jean-Yves was great. he was very communicative with the expecations, making sure that the hours were met and never extending beyond what was agreed. The meals were all fabulous and very regular. We shared many meals with his friends which were all great to get to speak with such interesting individuals! and he was incredibly helpful after expressing my desires to learn more French. the town was quant yet gorgeous and provided a nice area for walking around. His garden was beautiful, I enjoyed myself greatly just sitting and watching the beautiful scenery!

Mia is a sweet and delicate girl in every sense of the word. She likes to learn and gives her best. The truth is that she was an artist at removing weeds from around the plants and learned a lot about transplanting coffee and coconut palms, among other things. She gradually overcame her fear of horses to the point that she rode a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Needless to say, she managed to deal with Alarik (the horse) by brushing him and maintaining his space, sometimes on her own, which was a great achievement. I spent a great month with Peter and Christiane in Nakusp. The area is beautiful, and the work was easygoing and enjoyable. They’re both really kind and welcoming — I felt right at home. Definitely recommend staying with them!

She is a girl who shines with her own light, sweet, kind, and very dedicated to everything she is asked to do. Full of energy and good ideas, she has magic hands when it comes to planting or transplanting, because everything she plants continues to grow healthily. Wherever she goes, I know she will contribute a lot.

Having Nerea with us this summer was an absolute blessing. From the very first day, she became part of our family . it felt so natural and easy. Her positive energy, kindness, and good vibes filled our home. The kids adored her, and so did we. She was always caring, responsible, and full of joy, bringing laughter and warmth into our days. We are so grateful for the time we shared together and the beautiful connection that grew between us. Nerea, you’ll always have a home with us, and we hope to see you again one day! 💛

I had a great experience housesitting and caring for Victor's animals! The home and the animals were so lovely to take care of and great company. Victor gave me very clear instructions, and communication was smooth before and during the stay! I would happily sit for them again anytime. Highly recommended!

My time at the shelter was very exhausting but also rewarding. I worked more hours than I had to because there was always a lot to do and I wanted to help. In the mornings we cleaned the kennels, in the afternoon we gave the dogs food, water and medication and in the evenings we walked some of the dogs. At night I was always so tired that i fell asleep immediately. I loved having a lot of freedom to spend time with all the dogs I wanted to and being trusted with giving them their medication and bringing them to the vet. I learned a lot during my stay. Would recommend :) The accomodation however needed a lot of getting used to. I stayed in the camper at first and then I moved into the apartment. Both could use some renovation and both needs to be cleaned a lot more, since some volunteers do not think it is their responsability. Also there was some mold, for example in the drawers :/ Teresa was always very busy, but when she had time for a chat it was always very nice :) I was really sad when I had to leave her and the dogs🐾

My friend and I spent two wonderful weeks with Saira and her family. Everyone made us feel at home, and the children were very well-behaved; we had a lot of fun playing with them. Saira is a wonderful mother and always ready to answer questions and give advice on visiting the surrounding area. A superb experience!
