After several years working with tourists in the beautiful desert of Wadi Rum in Jordan, I've got a big experience as a guide.
My name is Salem Alzalabeh, from the tribe of Zalabieh and i grew up in the desert where my parents are still living in.
I am very proud of my bedouin culture and I like to share it with the foreigners who are going to visit my area.
Very good driver, well experimented as trekking guide, I speak and understand english good enough and I want to communicate my passion of the desert to the others.
I know many beautiful places where you can contemplate the red landscape of Wadi Rum, on the top of the highest mountains of the place for example. I will show you the tracks of animal drawings on the sand, I will tell you about our wild bedouin life here, I will lead you through unknown canyons and roads. We will share together the pleasure of being in such an amazing place.
You can decide to sleep under a bedouin tent in a camp, or outside in the moonlight, you can decide if you prefere to visit Wadi Rum by jeep or by feet, I will adapt my tour to everyone, because each one has his own rythm, each one have different wishes.
I am sure you'll spend an unforgetable moment with us in our desert.

Volunteers are also expected to help me with tourists doing translations and also explaining about the region and the tours.
Volunteers can choose between sleeping in the Bedouin camps in the desert or in a private comfortable room next to the family house with outside toilet and hot shower.
Volunteers will be provided free accomodation, facilities and food. They will enjoy sharing the bedouin way of life with a bedouin family.
