If you are from outside the EU and planning to visit France solely as a volunteer and not as a tourist you will need the correct visa. To find out more information you need to contact the embassy in your home country before travelling.
Meaning of the colours:
Possibly volunteers needed
By default (toggle switch to the left) hosts who have both yellow AND green indicated for the months
you have selected will be shown. If you move the toggle to the right ONLY hosts who have indicated
green will be shown.
Meaning of this:
By default (toggle switch to the left) will show hosts who have ANY of the months you have chosen
marked as available. This means that some of the months might be marked red (no availability.) If
you need to see ALL of the months you have selected as available move the toggle to the right.
The project is moving along nicely which means we have space to host quite a few workawayers!
If you enjoy gardening, painting, putting together ikea furniture, chopping wood, general upkeep and being part of a community then this is the place for you :)
There is of course always a lot to do indoors as well as in the garden, don't hesitate to contact me for more information! :)
I am Victor, I'm french and I am 27 years old and I have travelled a lot in recent years. Living and helping me with the project are two close friends, Charlotte who works mostly in the garden and can explain all about permaculture principles, and Loïc, jack of all trades and awesome homemaker!
Jo, our favorite English workawayer has also been with us since January!
And since February 2019, Peach, a lovely dog has joined us.
We speak English, French and German.
I have now returned to my home village and I live in an old family house that has been converted for the occasion into a shared flat. The house and its garden need a lot of work, I would like to make a nice shared house for 7 people.
The project is very large, there are a lot of major works (creation of a vegetable garden, maintenance of trees, renovation of several rooms, conversion of an old barn, insulation of the house, creation/renovation of furniture, painting,...).
My family also lives in the same village, so I often go to help them, especially with gardening at my grandparents' house.
Despite this rural aspect, the city centre of Basel in Switzerland is less than fifteen minutes by bike, as well as the international airport or railway network.
I have a lot of passions and cooking is one of them that you will be able to realize most regularly. There is an old bread/pizza oven in the cellar !
The region is magnificent, at the three borders between France, Germany and Switzerland. The Vosges, Black Forest and Jura mountains meet there.
I'll be happy to show you around!
The accommodation will be in a private room for the guests, I am usually vegetarian/flexitarist but I can cook with pleasure local and traditional dishes with meat. No problem for those who want to eat gluten-free either.
The 3 of us are pretty chill and laid back people who enjoy spending a lot of time together. If you're not in a good headspace or need a lot of time on your own, this might not be the place for you.
We're also waste savers and we try to follow a philosophy of freeganism :)
See you soon! ......
