Hello World!
My name is Shayla and I hail from Calgary Alberta, Canada. I've done quite a bit of traveling, in my estimation anyways, but like many people, covid, and more recently the cost to live, have made it hard to travel much in the last few years.

And with the forced halt on exploration, the stand still in a city that seems too loud and in constant motion, It seems I've had some clarity on what a meaningful future looks like to me.

Here's an assorted list for insight into my character:

Most recently I've been working in landscaping

I've been a Barista on and off for many years and really enjoy the process of making coffee and the culture and people you meet within the industry

Jack of all trades, master of none

I love yoga and have my 200 YTTC from India

I enjoy knitting and crocheting, mostly consisting of toques and scarves

I'm an avid reader, recently getting in Philosophy

I longboard in the summer and snowboard in the winter

Food and nutrition are both important to me and constantly spark intrigue into learning about how I can be healthier and eat more sustainably

I'm currently obsessed with fermenting everything, and I make some really freakin good kefir water!

I make really yummy food, according to my mother


The goal of traveling is constantly changing for me, but for the person I am at this moment, it's about the exchange of knowledge, and of culture. It's shared meals and shared stories. It's wandering down paths unknown to places far away. It's letting my toes explore sandy beaches, frigid oceans, moss covered forest floors, sun warmed rocks, and everywhere inbetween my feet can take me!

Perhaps this has started to paint a picture for you, and I sound like someone you would enjoy to be around for a few days, weeks or months. Perhaps not, and thats cool too.
Maybe I'll see you soon, maybe our paths will cross and we'll create memories in each others minds that will last forever, or perhaps just for a moment.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Basically I’m a Jack of all trades, as mentioned above I’ve had jobs that range quite a bit! Overall I can definitely help in the kitchen and with house chores. I don’t mind getting dirty, so throw me in a garden and I’ll plant things! I’m relatively strong for my small size, so give me the heavy tasks. I was a bit of a monkey in my youth, so Climbing trees and picking fruit would be a breeze.
Really, anything you can think of, if I don’t know how to do it, I’ll at least give it a go!
