Description
Hi, we are Laura & Zoe, we just finished high school and are taking a gap year for 2024. We are eager to travel, see new places and learn new things such as culture, history and language. Hoping to delve into a range of new experiences, make connections, meet intriguing people from around the world, push ourselves beyond our comfort zone and enjoy the flexibility of travel.
Zoe - I am extremely excited to embark on a new adventure in my life to do something I greatly appreciate and adore. I consider myself a friendly person who enjoys the company and conversation of others, however also the quiet moments - such as watching the sunset on a peaceful summer night. I am also a big animal lover and take thrill in the outdoors.
Laura - I am a person who likes being in a team and around people, I love playing sports such as AFL, soccer and basketball as well as board game nights and puzzles in my free time with friends. Being outdoors provides me with a certain peace, calmness and freedom. Finding ways to be sustainable is important to me to preserve the natural world. I take great joy in meeting new people and sharing stories.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Zoe: I have worked a couple years in hospitality and a couple of years in retail, helping me develop good people skills, understanding how to juggle various responsibilities and interact with new people. I would say I am a fast learner and am comfortable with sharing my knowledge and gaining new skills throughout my journey. I have been able to work as a team which has assisted me in ensuring support of the people around me while also being able to take care of the important duties I have been trusted with. I am great at taking care of animals due to having a few pets and dog-sitting in the past, I also love looking after kids as I have many baby cousins I visit often.
Laura: I have done some charity work at my local community by preparing and serving meals to those less fortunate which has helped me develop my social skills and interacting with many different types of people. Also, babysitting for local families over the years which I have enjoyed and has helped me problem solve and gain more patience. I have worked in fast food at McDonald's for a few years which I was able to adapt to a fast pace environment when needed and be a quick learner. Working at ALDI supermarket has supported me in taking responsibility and doing my part in a team. Also, working at my local pub serving food and bartending which has provided me knowledge in safely serving alcohol. I have been around animals growing up such as birds and reptiles so I would love to help take care of any animals you may have.
We are both resourceful in the kitchen, love play sports and would be happy to teach others our countries games such as Australian Rules Football.
