Description

I've wanted to spend time solo overland exploring for a while now, and I've decided to finally to take the leap. I've overland travelled since a child and find it to be the richest experience. I have a deep connection to nature, and only wish to further deepen this.
I also wish to become more self sufficient and learn the nuances of what that entails.
I'm a bit of a generalist and have both logical and creative elements to my mind.
I left civil engineering to pursue landscape architecture (my current study), however I maintain my holistic stance and enjoy perceiving the world from multiple perspectives.

I enjoy languages and would like to explore this further by immersive experience. I enjoy spending time with others, sharing experiences, and like to think I'm quite a "can do" person. I do also enjoy my independence and some alone time to reconnect with my core self. I think there is a balance in all of those things.

I'm quite a spiritual person which manifests mostly in the subtleties of how I view the world, approach different experiences and the perspective I take. It's mostly grounded in a reverence for nature, so within that is where I am most rooted.

My main love in life is probably food!
I also enjoy creative expression, be it art, writing, poetry etc. These are the things that keep me centred. If I can share these experiences with others then that is the cherry on the cake :)

Yes! I love languages and learning them. I'm currently learning French, and have know some Italian which is mostly self taught, although having some Italian heritage there was some influence there :) any opportunity to practice is appreicated! I know tiny bits of German and Dutch, and my native tongue is English.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've always been "hands on"... growing up, my parents did everything themselves and didn't pay people to do the work if they could find a way to do it themselves. So it was a self sufficient- learn as you go mentality. I think I'm a little different in believing collective effort is often greater than the sum of it's parts, but I did learn to problem solve and apply myself practically.

Things I have practical experience or some skill in are;
Gardening
General DIY and assembly
Basic carpentry
Painting (including murals)
I'm strong! Lifting, moving etc.
Doing things safely :)
Very basic plumbing, although keen to learn more!
Attention to detail
Having a balance of patience and pragmatism

I like to keep physically active and this brings me joy. I've recently gotten into bouldering. I'm relatively beginner, but if there is opportunity to continue this then that's a bonus!
