Hello I'm Freya :D

I'm currently working in the loveliest international cafe in Groningen, Netherlands it's perfect in every way as it means I get to socialise all day with friends. I'm extremely interested in people and in constant search of new stories.

Being outside is a big must for my daily routine.Nature is of course a remedy to most things; which also resonates with my desire to protect its beauty. In my final year of my Psychology bachelors I took a minor in Future Planet Innovation which focused on current issues across the world and the development and implementations of sustainable features in current and new companies and land.

In my spare time I enjoy creating photographs with friends, passing people in the street or of anything that catches my eye.

I come from a small village in the south of England on the Ashdown forest where Winnie the Pooh comes from hehe.

I love music, all types of music. I especially enjoy some jazz and funky disco vibes, I live with a couple of DJ's so occasionally I mix with them and discover new music frequently so am super interested to share music :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I graduated from my bachelors in Psychology in 2021 at the University of Groningen, since then I've been working at a small international cafe in the centre of Groningen as well as working at a busy restaurant as a waitress and in a falafel store. I have previous experience in a bakery, pub and other waitressing jobs at weddings and a pizza restaurant. I'm an extremely social and adventurous person

Growing up we had two dogs and cats as well as a couple of pigs which we raised to eat, as well as working at a stables where we eventually got our own horse which I spent everyday looking after. During my duke of Edinburgh programme I also volunteered at a horse rescue centre. So I can say I'm very confident and comfortable handling animals and all the mud that comes with it.

As well as camping with my friends I was a scout and have been on many walking and camping trips with D of E and my family so can also magic up a camp fire.

I was lucky enough to go on a biological conservation trip to Guyana, South America for three weeks where we stayed in hammocks in the middle of the jungle to collect data on the biodiversity surrounding.

I would love to get some more physical experience building and maintaining things, I'm a very hands on person and will give anything a go. I remember making a climbing wall out of a very large tree in our garden with my dad and spending hours hoisting my friends in a harness up and down and making tight ropes up high from one tree to another.

A friend and I hosted a handful of second hand clothes sales at cafes and music events which were extremely successful and everybody had lots of fun!! So would love to be able to organise similar events again.

Overall I'm an extremely easy going person, I can talk to almost anyone and love interacting with people. I'd be hugely grateful for any new experiences I encounter and look forward to meeting you!:)
