Hi there!
My name is Alex and I am from Switzerland! I am serving in the army until April this year, after which I will have a lot of empty time to fill, since my architecture studies don’t start until September. It is obvious for me that I must take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore different regions and cultures of the world. So I decided to travel to either America or Asia, as these continents are entirely unknown to me.
In my free time, I really enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and swimming. Besides that, I am passionate about digital art, namely image editing and 3D graphics.
Moreover, I take much pleasure in travelling. This is especially true for train journeys, since I find it fascinating to see how landscapes and architectural styles slowly change as you travel through different countries and regions

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

In my spare time, I taught myself various skills in the field of digital art, mainly image editing and 3D graphics. I also have some experience in editing videos and creating vector graphics.
During my time at college, I used to work at a kiosk on Sundays. I mostly served customers there, but I was also responsible for accounting tasks such as checking delivery bills and cashing up at the end of the day.
Furthermore, I have already workawayed twice, once in Sweden and the other time in Ireland. I helped with simple gardening tasks such as berry picking and weeding most of the time. During my stay in Ireland, I also designed a label for honey jars, as my host had started beekeeping at the time.
At the moment, I am doing military service. Initially my role was “telematics planner”. My main tasks were finding suitable locations for antennas and troubleshooting when something went wrong in the military communications network. Later on, I changed my role, now I am in charge of creating content for the Swiss Armed Forces’ e-learning platform. This mostly involves editing educational videos and helping with creating online courses.
