Dear Hosts, we are Lana and Wout. We are on workaway because we like connecting with different people and immersing ourselves in various cultures. We believe it's one of the best ways to learn and grow as a person.

WOUT: I would describe myself as a calm, adventurous person. I love hiking, wildlife spotting, camping and exploring remote places. I also enjoy outdoor sports like surfing, kayaking, snowboarding and I'm open to learning new ones. I recently tried horseback riding which was the scariest one yet for me😅
I like living slowly and enjoying the small moments. But being able to get out of my comfort zone is just as important to me because I always want to become a better version of myself.

LANA: I just graduated university and I'm ready to explore the world! I learned a lot about the culture and languages of Latin America during my studies and I would like to explore them further in real life now. I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world and I like to learn more about their traditions and lifestyle. I'm also looking forward to see Latin America's nature and wildlife, because they say it's phenomenal. I absolutely love to read, to learn new things and to acquire new skills so I'm really excited to contribute to a Workaway project.

We are really excited to work with people who share similar goals, to learn from the local community, and to make a positive difference that lasts!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

WOUT: I worked as a receptionist taking care of hospitality tasks in different companies. I also worked in a shop with electronic devices. I would be glad to use the knowledge I gained there to help with computers or other devices.

I like building projects. I gained some DIY experience while working in my house and helping friends. I also did my first (basic) vanbuild this year.
I'm used to do daily chores around the house and I like to cook. (Eager to learn how to make new dishes). Working outside is something I would really enjoy as well on a workaway. But my experience with plants is moderate because my father does most of the work in our vegetable garden.

A couple years ago I had my first experience with children, I led summer camps for kids from 6 to 12 years old. I was nervous at the begining but after a while I found so much joy in being outside with the kids playing games. Besides that I like to be around animals, Im especially used to having dogs around.


LANA: I studied languages (Spanish, French, Dutch) and I'm very passionate about getting to know other cultures. Therefore I am definitely open to a language exchange! In my free time I like to try as many new things as possible like cooking new recipes, trying new sports and always look for ways to improve my skills. I am a very active person so I'm not afraid to do physical work or outdoor jobs. I also like to be creative (painting, decorating) and I enjoy sharing my travel adventures and experiences on social media so I would be more than glad to give you a hand with that as well. During my administrative student jobs, I learned how to be a good planner, how to navigate tasks independently and how to be flexible and to adjust when necessary.
