Hello !
My name is Vincent and I am from Bordeaux - France. This is my first time on Workaway !

After working for 7 years as a civil and urban engineer in my home country, I wanted to head for a fresh start.
In Japan with a Working Holiday Visa as of 2025 November 1st and eager to meet new people, share experiences, practice different languages together !
I am a very curious person, which always leads me to discuss with others and learn various things, about them and their culture. Always down for a new adventure, socially, mentally or physically speaking !
I can also share my culture with you if it is something you are interested in.

For the moment, I only know Tokyo and I would really love to live in a calmer, more intimate place where it would be possible to spend more quality time with people.

Together, we can speak French, English and Spanish, and I am currently studying Japanese (between N5 and N4 level). I will be glad to share what I know and practice Japanese. I can also teach maths and physics if needed as I graduated from an engineering school.
As of my previous experiences teaching, I volunteered for 2 months in Cuzco - Peru to teach English and French to 4 to 12 years old children.
I have also been doing wwoofing, in France, to participate in the creation of organic farms (mostly in mountainous areas). I really enjoyed the outside work and the land labour. Finally, I have volunteered in India as a mason for a month to build an orphanage, and in France for 2 month to rehabilitate and old countryside house.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a master's degree in civil and urban engineering.
I speak French, English, Spanish and am currently learning Japanese (N5-N4).
I am really familiar with community and shared living as I have 3 brother and sisters and lived a long time in shared apartments and houses. I also spent a few months in a community in France where I participated in the creation of an organics farm.
I have few experiences in teaching and building.
I am optimistic, dynamic, curious, adventurous, friendly and empathic !
