Hey! I'm Tessa, 24 years old from Hanover in Germany. I really love to travel and I'm looking forward to spend some time in Ireland now that I have finished my apprenticeship in occupational therapy. Currently I am feeling the urge for the faraway and wish to travel while also helping out wherever I can :). I really want to get to know all the different cultures and languages, make great experiences, meet new people and improve my English. Life in the city is quite busy so I`d love to travel to some more quiet and peaceful places with a lot of nature and probably wildlife around.

In 2016 I lived in Ireland for half a year and worked as an Au Pair where I cared for three children aged two, five and seven. After that I volunteered at a buddhist retreat centre where I was helping out in the kitchen and tidied up the guestrooms for upcoming retreats. Afterwards I helped at a small farm where I cared for the animals, babysat and did some general work in and around the house (mucking out, sanding down wood, painting etc.). Previously I worked at a childrens home and a care facility for young mothers and their babys which I enjoyed a lot!
In 2019 I had some great experiences with workaway where I helped families in Norwaay and Ireland around the house, garden and farm and with childcare.

Now I hope to find a place for a short stay during a little break this year to take some time off and getting to know a new country.

I really enjoy spending time with kids and would love to lend a helping hand in childcare, caring for animals, household tasks or some easy jobs around the house like painting, helping in the garden and everything else that has to be done on a farm. Also I`m very interested and passionate about permaculture, self sufficency and sustainable living and would love to learn a lot more about these topics!
I love being creative and to DIY, upcycle, recycle and repair things as well as building and creating small projects.
Cleaning after myself and helping with meals, dishes etc is a matter of course for me.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm well experienced in childcare for children from newborn up to twelve years, can do some household tasks (cooking, cleaning, sewing etc.), caring for animals (previuosly cared for horses, chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, cats and dogs and really loved it), some basic gardening, simple woodwork like sanding and a little building, growing vegetables, some work around the house such as painting and I love doing creative things.

I'm very excited to meet some interesting people, have some good conversations and get to know your culture :) I definitely enjoy some good food and would love to get to know some traditional meals! Music and board games are great as well! I am looking forward to escape the busy and hectic life, reconnect with nature and to spend some time with myself and many inspiring people (and animals :D )
