Hi, we are Nic & Claire, an English couple who have both worked in Law Enforcement for many years and have decided we now want to see the world ! Aside from being an investigator Nic also built his own house in the UK; (including electrics, plumbing, carpentry & gardening / landscaping). Nic is qualified as a trainer and also runs a small web design business.
In 2016 we both decided to leave our careers in search of a better life and have been running a charter motor yacht business belonging to Nics uncle in Cannes. This involved high-end group catering, bar work and accounts. We've done loads of social media work for the boat as well as designed and maintained a new business website, which has paid off by generating new charters over the last 12 months. I have been in charge of all the catering for the business,.spending loads of time in the galley, catering for all sorts of different groups, organising birthday do’s, hen do’s or just trying out new recipes, we have been responsible for general boat maintenance and repairs.
Nic has commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore qualifications
I've already travelled extensively around the world, so have experience of various cultures, particularly in South America and South East Asia.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Between us we have a wide range of skills; including cooking, boat and yacht handling experience (Nic has RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Qualifications), Web design experience, business internet and social media marketing, house building, inc. carpentry, plumbing, electrics, decorating, landscape gardening, UK HGV licence, English, basic Spanish, working with NGO's, investigations, photography, bar work, NVQ's in catering and hospitality, first aid trained, good with animals and children, out going and like to enjoy life to the full.

While the pandemic closed doors globally we spent our time renovating a flat in the UK. This took around 8 months and included knocking walls down, rewiring, re plumbing, all the docorating, tiling etc.... and, never one to be without a project, as soon as it was finished Nic went out and bought a van to convert into a motorhome from scratch; including cabinet-making, plumbing system, solar electrics etc. We moved into the van full time in June 2022 and initially spent the 3 months travelling Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Our next adventure was a return to SE Asia, backpacking around Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam.
In June 23 we returned to the UK, picked up our campervan & have driven through France, around Spain & Portugal.
We're now preparing for our next adventure, flying to Cuba in September...
