Hi I’m Becky. I’ve lived in the UK all my life having moved around Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and have spent some time living in Fife, Scotland. Covid has helped me re-evaluate a few things and I have realised life is far too short to settle in one place. I am keen for adventure, incredibly hard working, love animals and have some animal care experience. I love history, in particular a good castle, love the outdoors and spending as much time as possible surrounded by nature and wildlife. I’m not a bad cook, have painting and decorating experience and I’m also a writer with editorial and marketing experience. I am ideally looking for a longer stay with as many hours work needed as possible. If there are some pets and also some wild swimming spots nearby then count me in! I have some home schooling experience having been teaching my goddaughter history and I've also run groups before including a book club and a creative writing group.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve got marketing and editorial experience, copy writing, blog, press and magazine writing. I’m good with a paintbrush (decorating, not art!) and love working with animals. I’m fairly fit and healthy so like to get into something active. I’ve previously worked on a rare breeds farm and have also spent time working in the heritage industry for English Heritage. I have also worked in mental health and have a TEFL qualification and a journalism diploma. Through Workaway, I have also gained some invaluable gardening experience!

I'm a huge animal lover and I do a lot of creative writing from short stories to poems and have a novel on the go as well. I used to run a creative writing group so this is something I could perhaps bring to the table. I play the guitar, but very badly and love country music. I am interested in archaeology and anything to do with the Tudors. I'm also very good with children as I have two young god children and have helped to home school one of them. I love being out and about in nature and also enjoy wild swimming.
