Hi Workaway!

My name is Sarah, I'm an adventurous and openminded lady hailing from the US. I've been lucky to travel and work abroad over the years-- over 30 countries and counting! Right now I am based in Colorado, and will be beginning a year of Peace Corps service in Kyrgyzstan in January 2024, working as an eco-tourism marketing consultant.

I am passionate about the tourism and hospitality industries, travel, food, culture, the great outdoors, and learning new skills.

I am a yoga teacher, love to be active outdoors, read and write daily, enjoy live music, and am generally a curious, open minded person. I'm a hard worker and give everything I do, 100%. I believe that everyone is my teacher, and I'm a life long learner.

I love the concept of Workaway because of the opportunity to give back while traveling, as well as getting to know a place and it's people better by becoming a part it, instead of simply passing though. I've had incredible experiences through this platform, and I'm excited to meet you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have lots of experience in various fields and more than anything, am open-minded, a self-starter, friendly and eager to try my hand at new tasks.

Growing up in rural West Virginia and living on multiple farms taught me quite a bit of outdoor skills-- gardening, building fires, taking care of animals. I love cooking and baking, writing and drawing/painting, camping, hiking, kayaking, and generally being outdoors. I am also a yoga teacher. Having lived in Germany, France, Sri Lanka, and Turkey I'm used to adapting to different cultures and languages (I speak native English and fluent German). I have my masters degree in international business management and have worked as the marketing manager for a luxury eco hotel in Sri Lanka and Alaska. I'm tech savvy and have a great grasp of marketing for the tourism and hospitality industry-- including social media, content creation, PR, OTAs, and SEO.

What can I say?? Sarah was a pleasure to have as a houseguest and as a worker. She works hard, was great with my animals and was very respectful of my little beach cabin.
