My Turkish husband and myself (Swiss) run a 15-bed budget hotel in the small touristic town of Dalyan. Our hotel's aim is 'to provide budget-conscious travellers and visitors to Dalyan with an economical lodging option where guests will be able to enjoy clean rooms and a relaxed atmosphere'. A large part of the guests are Turkish but one of our objectives in 2018 is to attract a greater number of foreign guests.
We also aim to share with our volunteers and guests our passion for the environment, animals and art. Our hotel is pet-friendly, and in order to promote sustainability we use locally purchased and recycled materials.
We need helpers with high energy and motivation in return you get to learn how to run a small hotel, make new friends and enjoy the many attractions Dalyan has to offer (see below for more info).
As of March 2018 we will also need someone to help at the house and with our newborn son.

Enjoy local cuisine and culture by interacting with our guests and staff member. Get to see the 'back-stage' of running a small family business. If interested the volunteer can also learn about turtle protection at the local Iztuzu beach and also visit historic site of Kaunos tombs.
HOTEL WORK: We need a volunteer to come and join us to help host our guests which includes general day-to-day work around the hotel. The volunteer would work 5 hours a day and 5 days a week. We would prefer volunteers that can stay a minimum of 4 weeks but may accept 3 weeks.Tasks may include helping with laundry, help with shopping and washing up, cleaning and maintenance and kitchen.
HOUSE WORK / BABYSITTING: As of March 2018 we will also need someone to help with babysitting and cooking at home. Our ideal volunteer would be female, have experience with young children/babies and be ENGLİSH or FRENCH NATİVE SPEAKER so that our baby can start learning these languages. Someone to help with basic housekeeping and gardening tasks (eg. watering the garden at home).
The house is 10minutes walking distance from the hotel, both in Dalyan center.

Volunteers will either stay in a single room on the ground floor or during high season in the basement area. The volunteer will have access to use the hotel kitchen if he/she wants to cook. We will usually take turns and/or share the meal preparation tasks and eat on the rooftop terrace weather permitting...
Our hotel does not serve alcoholic beverages and we discourage regular or heavy drinking, which is one thing our volunteer should keep in mind.
The volunteer that will help at the house will be given her own room in the house and have access to the swimming pool on the compound.
Our volunteers can engage in numerous activities during their time off. Dalyan has many shops, cafes and restaurants. Other activities include going to the world-famous Iztuzu beach (beach is 12km away but can be also reach by water-taxi from the river), going to the river (100m away), visiting nearby Koycegiz lake (30km) which hosts the famous Sultaniye hot springs, Fethiye (60km) and Oludeniz Beach. Volunteers can enjoy time off at the swimming pool of the house compound.
