Hi I am Holly .
I am a mum to 3 great kids 14 girl, 14boy, 18Girl and a moodle dog called Romeo 13 and a cat named Daisy 13.
Did I forget -an awesome hubby (Nicholas)from the UK who could be a standup comedian with no effort. He works on camera from home as he is a sales trainer and speaker.
WE love nature and currently live on Lamb island in an old farm house we are renovating that is based halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and about a 25 mins boat ride from the mainland. Its a little island-it has one pub, one corner store, one tennis court, one swimming beach, you get the picture....its relaxed , quiet and nothing happens in a rush : ) but don't worry -if your looking for more action right next door are 3 other islands with a lot more things/services to do or there is always the mainland...an hour in either direction lands you south in Burleigh Heads or if you head North you land in Brisbane.
Either way this little island is tucked away like the secret it is. We love it . A boat comes every 25 mins...so your never stuck here, but you are forced to enjoy the sunsets or sunrises : )
We are a Christian family although not a highly religious type. We do go to church on Sundays have a beer now and again and respect others points of views. We do pray around the dinner table or before we eat usually. You don't have to do this...just something we do. Every couple of weeks we go to Burleigh heads where we have another place for the weekends and a change of scenery.
We do have a happy busy life and can offer someone a happy exchange...if they would like to experience and aussie family that is noisy lol.
I have listed a range of jobs we would love help with if you can.
1/if you have any cooking skills they would be greatly admired in this house : ) lol
2/If your able to make up kids lunches and put in freezer etc. We would love that!.
3/ you will notice there is a trend around food and the preparation of it (i am a hopeless cook) but like to eat healthy. So if you enjoy cooking please come visit !!! : )
4/ my son loves books being read to him still he's 14 but immature like a 10 year old- he often needs encouragement around homework-he is very chatty and loves to play kick a ball, ride a bike etc... his twin sister likes makeup and fashion so be prepared to become her makeup and or hair doll....(actually she's really good at it) The older one is a teenager, lots of points of views and all of them are correct ; ) They are really nice kids can squabble at times but generally kind hearted and respectful.
5/ gardening.....this property has a lot of fruit trees and well if you are able or enjoy cleaning up gardens- you will have plenty to do here. Bring gloves and your fitness.
6/ Helping keep the house tidy is a great help. I hate mess.
We would love someone who is easy going , clean, responsible, independent kind to children and animals, respectful, trustworthy person who I don't need to much hands on ....
If your not a clean person or do not know how to tidy up after yourself- this place is not for you. With 3 kids and training them ,Hubby and I like tidy organized peeps that don't need their mummy to tell them to pick up after themselves...This keeps everyone happy : } at home.
We Prefer non smokers , non vapers - non drinkers(away from the kids tbh)-as my kids are watching you lol.
If you think you would be happy here reach out- we have a spare room and open to a single/ or a couple travelling together, the room is simple ,not a big room and the house is old currently. But if you would like to experience island life -your most welcome to contact us

The house is an old farmhouse I am renovating.
4 bedroom 2 bathroom 1 office on 1700square metres. 10 min walk to ferry. 25 mins to mainland.

This is a very relaxed Island place...nothing happens too quickly welcome to island time.
Alot of retirees and it is a good place to be based if you want to take your time exploring Brisbane and the Gold Coast. It's pretty and peaceful.

Yes there is parking for a camper van etc. You will need to catch a car barge over..($75 each way) it takes 40mins

No problem. As long as friendly we have e a cat and dog. There is no fence however so your dog would need to be tied up.
