Description

We are a retired couple with two very friendly dogs looking for assistance in the yard of our one-acre plot on the South end of Gabriola Island. Lots of weeding and/or trimming in the gardens and clearing deadfall in our tiny bit of forest.

Gabriola is one of the small, southern gulf islands in the Salish Sea. It has a unique ecosystem that sustains a multitude of wildlife and miles of trails along the shores and inland forests. Our island bus service, Gertie, stops right beside our laneway and travels to almost all the services and attractions on the island.
We only speak English fluently but we are happy to help you practice if it is not your first language.

We are looking for someone(s) young and fit to help us seniors with some outdoor projects we find challenging on our own.

Hébergement

We are willing to share daily vegan meals with our guests but we can also provide them with an independent guest suite where they are able to cook for themselves if they prefer. I am happy to provide them with an abundance of healthy food options other than meat or dairy.
The accommodations were designed as a holiday rental so all aspects of comfort are provided. Television is not available but the internet connection is generally reliable.

We live within walking distance to one of the most beautiful attractions on Gabriola Island, Drumbeg Provincial Park, but aside from the myriad of beaches and hiking trails available on the island, it is also "The Isle of the Arts" where you can explore a multitude of artist studios. Your accommodations are above an encaustic painting studio but you are also a short Gertie ride away from studios and galleries that showcase the work of potters, silversmiths, woodworkers and other creatives too numerous to mention.
