Help with gardening and painting while enjoying the countryside in lovely Condom, France

  I live in a stone built house just outside the town of Condom in the Gers. This is a rich cultural area and is in the middle of the Armagnac region. There is 1 hectare of land around my house. There is easy access to the town and also a 35km old railway line that is now paved and is a lovely place to walk or cycle. I have 2 friendly dogs, one very old and one young and playful. I also have a heated swimming pool in the garden which is lovely to jump into after a days work.

  I am British and although I speak a little french I would like workaways to have a little english. I would be very happy to help with improving their english if they so wish. I would also be happy to take visitors out and about at the weekends to visit the pretty villages and chateaux in the area. Just 5 minutes away is a wonderful chateau where you can have Armagnac tastings.

  I am looking for one or two people to help in the large garden, cutting hedges, building a fence, clearing cut branches from the woodland area. Perhaps also painting some of the window frames which are easy to access. Also if there is time helping to clear out my barn. i have all the equipment needed for this type of work.

  There is a twin bedded room on the first floor with a bathroom for visitors sole use with bedding & towels provided. (I have my own en-suite bedroom) I will provide full board. I dont eat meat or poultry but I do eat fish so meals would be either vegetarian or fish based. However I would be very happy to provide meat or poultry if the visitors would like to cook it themselves.

  Although the house is just 5 kms from the centre of Condom there is no public transport. I have one bike and could arrange to borrow another if two people are visiting. As I have two dogs anyone staying would need to be comfortable around them. There are 2 train stations - Agen and Auch - about 40 mins drive from here and I would be happy to collect and return workaways to either of those stations.
