Help with some eco and outdoor projects on the shore of the river Danube in the northern part of Austria

  Description

  Hello! You are into NATURE, gardening, and/or making things out of wood and/or renovating? Or you enjoy cooking and preserving vegetables? Or you are into building a shed for hens or for our turtles? Well, then this is the right place for you! My husband and I recently bought a piece of land (4000m2) for gardening, right on the shore of the river Danube in the northern part of Austria. We live about 10 minutes away by car.
  
  On that new property there is an old house where at the moment we are in the process of renovating, there will be 2 guest rooms and there is a beautiful pond for swimming.Its about half an hour drive from Linz, the capital city of upper Austria. My name is Claudia, and I have travelled a lot in my life, that’s why I enjoy meeting people from other countries and speaking different languages. One of our daughters did work away in Norway and had a lot of great experiences, and she is living there now. She gave me the idea of being a host .
  In 2025 I am going to retire, so I will have time then to show you around our beautiful area. I am fluent in German and English, my French is ok, Italian and Spanish I don’t speak well, but I can understand most of it, and I speak some Bahasa indonesia.
  
  You can either stay on the property on the Danube or with us in our house, depending on the time of year and what you prefer, if there are two of you, maybe you want your own place on the Danube . Both properties are outside little villages. There are bus connections, but I can also pick you up by car from Linz. Our place is good for people who enjoy tranquility, and country life. It’s a place where neighbors know each other and help each other out. There are country pubs within walking distance. In summertime there are lots of local traditional parties/ festivities going on, where it’s easy to meet locals. We have a dog and 7 turtles.

  We like to take you out to local pubs, or enjoy a meal at home with us. If there are local festivities happening you are welcome to join in. You want to pick up some german language, sure no problem! If you are into museums, art, concerts etc.,, Linz isn’t far away. Also, a train ride from Linz to Vienna, the countries capital is only 1,5 hours from Linz. Yes, Austria is a pretty small country, 😉 BUT BEAUTIFUL!!!

  Aide

  We would love to have workawayers who can help us 4 hours/ day in exchange for food and accommodation. Preferable we would love to have people who can build things out of hardwood and/or bamboo, we have a small bamboo forest, and other trees. Also we would love to have someone who knows how to cook and preserve vegetables, because we grow a lot of them. In wintertime when there is not much/ nothing to do in the garden it would be great if the workawayers help us with renovating/ cleaning our two houses.

  Hébergement

  Either you stay in our weekend home on the edge of the river danube, ( pond for swimming);or in our house ( where we have a guestroom and bathroom just for you) which is 10 Minutes by car from the Danube where there is a Swimmingpool.
  
  Either we cook (with your help)but we are not good cooks 😉, or we go out for a meal. If you stay in the house near the danube, you will have to prep your own meals, we will provide the groceries. Also, for summertime we have a barbecue area and an outdoor kitchen.

  Unfortunatly we can not take workawayers with a dog, cause our dog (adopted from a shelter) does not tolerate other dogs in his territory.
