We are a lakeside campground and marina nicely located between the major cities of Texas yet quietly tucked into the countryside. I have been the owner since 2017 and took on the project to create a special park that focuses on family values, captures the essence of rustic Texas, and infuses a level of creative inspiration throughout everything we do. We are a diamond in the rough that needs your creativity and energy to transform the campground into the amazing place it can become. My personal enthusiasm for this project comes from many sources of inspiration. I am an engineer by background and my wife a teacher. We both worked with the Peace Corps in the South Pacific country of Papua New Guinea a number of years ago and are avid hikers, sailors, campers, and general outside enthusiasts. We even had the opportunity to hike a 50 mile section of the AT last summer, our first time ever! Our love of the outdoors and for helping to keep Texas an amazing place has led us to take on this work.
As we transition into the spring we need help with:
- Operating the front desk; includes taking food orders, point of sale system, and reservations
- Housekeeping for the cabins between reservations and maintaining restroom facilities
- Possibly light maintenance
- Food prep station
- A cook for our light menu
Nothing is crazy difficult and we can teach you everything you need to know to do the job. We ask for ~40 hours of work per week. We ask that you be willing to stay for at least a month and if everything is going great and you would like to remain can continue to work with us until the fall.

In the winter (December-February) we are mostly focused on:
- Grounds keeping

- New construction projects
- Planting or gardening
- General preparations for next summer season
In the summer (March-November) we are mostly focused on:
- Grounds keeping
- Park hosting to keep an eye on overnight guests and maintaining quiet hours
- Running the general sales register, taking reservation, stocking shelves
- Cooking
- Housekeeping between guests
