I've been living in Charente since 2015. The house I moved into is a period house with character and space with a mature self-contained garden of 650 sq.m. The house is a 1 minute walk from the centre where there are shops and a couple of cafes. There is a market twice a week on a Wednesday and Sunday. Surrounding the town are vineyards and pine forests. Further afield about an hour away is the Atlantic coast with beautiful beaches and oyster farms.
I am English/Swiss and have lived most of my life outside the UK. I am looking for help with the garden a couple of hours a day for a week. Meals are provided; there are three bedrooms so if a couple was interested, that would also work.
Incentives include a very attractive place with a lovely garden in a rural setting. It would appeal to someone who appreciates the beauty and the positive aspects of spending time in the countryside.

I've spent my life living in different countries and genuinely enjoy meeting and interacting with people and learning about various cultures and ways of life. I would enjoy showing anyone who comes to help the region where I live. There is a lot to see and do - vineyards, Atlantic Ocean, historical sites, oyster farms plus cities such as Bordeaux, Saintes and islands - Re and Oleron.
Maintenance of the garden (mowing the grass and weeding)
