Help at a private home with animals and household - Coín, Spain

  Description

  We need a solo person or 2 friends / couple urgently due to the illness of our regular help...and we anticipate the help is needed for around 4 weeks - to help with care for 6 horses, 1 donkey, 9 dogs, 13 cats and to muck in with life in a large Spanish finca set in the beautiful Coin Valley, including cleaning and cooking. We are looking for at least 1 person to be an EXPERIENCED HORSE AND DOG HANDLER......this is the #1 priority. We really need great flexibility as we are a busy household and both of us (husband and wife Clare and Clive ) work from home. IN exchange we will be flexible as well, work with you every day to decide what works for us all and will make life as nice as possible for you on your time off....so for example, If the workawayer is over 25 they can use my little old banger car (i will put the fuel in as well) in their time off in exchange for the odd evening or day of leaving them home alone with the clan ..... plus we are very rural so this is a real plus. Where we live is stunning so for anyone who likes the country you will have loads of time to explore, photograph, ride if you can ride, cycle.....anything is possible
  
  I don't eat anything animal and Clive eats meat and fish so I think we can safely say we can cater for all diets.

  We are set in a rural hamlet (real spain) and the travellers will benefit from: 1. living in a typical rural spanish speaking community / 2. introductions to spanish way of life 3. An opportunity to experience riding horses in the spanish mountains if riders 4/ An opportunity to meet some amazing locals including a trip to a very important spanish rescue centre 5. A homestay experience. Incredible wildlife as we are set in a protected area and fabulous hiking opportunities if they like hiking. Very accesible location to the coast or malaga.
  
  We are english but speak some spanish but have good links with the locals including a stud farm at the end of our road where there are spanish pure bred horses and arabs. I also do healing and communication with animals and natural horsemanship and there is a great opportunity for the traveller/s to be introduced to this if they are interested

  Aide

  We need someone motivated and happy to help cook meals for dogs daily, and walk the dogs for at least an average of 1 - 2 hours daily or alternate days depending on other jobs we need to do, Horse grooming, mucking out, etc, light housework and shopping if you can drive (only those over 25 for the insurance),feeding indoor and outdoor cats.There is plenty of horse riding to be had in our time off if the person can ride and I will share household duties and cooking so be assured we are NOT looking for a slave. You will be part of the family and the experience should be mutually beneficial.

  For the traveller/s arriving before the 12th Nov twin room with own bathroom and 2nd room (double ensuite) available after the 12th Nov as we have family here for the weekend. We have a beautiful home and the right person / people will be made very welcome. We gave guitars, a violin, a key board, a pool table (a swimming pool if you are crazy enough) a dart board, TV, aircon - log burner etc.....its a great place!!

  25 mins by train to Malaga, access to the coast such as Marbella, this is an amazing opportunity for someone who would like to workaway for a longer period and experience the real spain.
