CIAO!
I'm Greta, italian, 37 and I live in a small town in the flat countryside in the north-east side of Italy, between Modena and Bologna.
I've decided to apply to this site because I have been workawaying in 2017 for 6 months through the UK, Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands helping families, in guesthouses, bed and breakfasts and in organic farms with animals, pigs in particular,extremely sensitive and smart animals always in my heart.
For me Workaway means everytime a great experience and new skills learned,plus new people to meet and friendships...I'm still in contact via whatsapp with a lot of people I met from 2017 since now!
In summer 2022 I helped in a house/garden in the Netherlands, then I worked in a smoothie-bar (on a food truck) on festivals between Belgium and Germany: I loved to be in contact with people, preparing acai bowls and serving them, while having a chat!
Previously I did different kind of jobs: first I worked as secretary in offices, I'm good at computer but I prefer to be dynamic around, outdoors too if it's possible! I was also a seller in different shops, promoter of natural products for body and natural supplements; I have experience in organizing openings and events and welcoming guest.
During summer 2021 I worked in a bed and breakfast in Cervia,on the seaside,as receptionist-front office: checking-in/out guests, giving info about events and things to do during their stay, making cakes and preparing breakfast buffet!
During 2023 I worked on Terschelling island (NL) as employee in ho.re.ca.
My job consisted in different shifts, from cleaning rooms to kitchen shifts, breakfast or diner: preparing buffet for breakfast, doing dishes - mise en place and service.
As you may imagine, I am a sunny, kind and polite person with a smile :-)
In spare time I like to see and explore new places,
take walks in the nature and take pictures,
taste local food and share recipes, go to local pubs, markets, events, parties, cook and prepare meals together with friends but I like also to take some time for myself, being alone meditating and relaxing in the nature and -if I can- do a present for myself like get some treatments like massages, reflexology, and wellbeing therapies.
I pay attention when I buy products and when it's possibile I support km0 and little farms, I started because of an autoimmune disease about my thyroid.
I think we are all energy, part of the same universe and we are here to support the world we live in, I'm agains too intensive and massive productions/poisons.
I have my passport, so ready to travel, meet people, learn and discover!
